Review Joy Sushi - Brantford

I'd give this place a 5 start. If the rice with the sushi had been cold. Other than that. I'd highly recommend the place. They have great food, and amazing customer service. Very nice, clean place too! Pictures attached is a piece of sushi I highly recommend if you like salmon 😋

I went to one week ago. It was my first time. I love to eat Aburi ebi, which is shrimp that has been seared with a cooking torch. I tried salmon also but I don't like Sriracha sauce. So, it was not for me. But, if you like it Sriracha sauce then you maybe like it. You can start dine in at 3:30pm for all you can eat. Usually, Aburi sushi is not include all you can eat. So, it was lucky I had it. Because, I love Aburi sushi (this is common sushi in Japan). And I love salmon teriyaki too.

Great sushi and excellent service don’t always go hand in hand. They certainly do here. Very attentive servers and hosts. Roll sizes were perfect sized for single bite if desired. I will certainly go back next time in Brantford.

First time eating here, but we will definitely be coming back!! There was a very short wait for a table, and the food was fast and easy to order via an iPad at the table. There was something for everyone, and it was easy to sample new dishes!

Expensive and flavorless. It doesn't matter how fast you pump out the food. Their fried foods are belimically under-fried. The broth for the udon did not have time to gain any flavor and was just plain water with vegetables floating in it. The rice was undercooked on our sushi and crunched! The server was great, as were the desserts. Our food was quick but flavor was lacking in anything made in house. I would rather have food that tastes good with terrible customer service, though. You cannot make up for bad quality food. We tried Joy twice since it reopened and for $90 for 2 people I will drive to Oakville to get real sushi. I wish I took pictures of the clear broth and the undercooked rice for the sushi the second time we went. The belimic looking wontons are from our first visit. We get sushi weekly will not be going back.

Everything here is very delicious, the chicken skewers are bomb. Presentation is immaculate, and the staff is very attentive. My drink was never empty and the food came in quick succession. $27 per person for all you can eat, and it was well worth it. If you are a sushi lover this is the place to be.
