Review Cafe Andreou - Brantford

Such a fun experience dining here! The owner was very welcoming, funny and engaging. His 2 sons were also incredible. Great hospitality, quirky and enjoyable with friends! The food was all incredible (order appetizers, the veal entree and dessert!) and the wine was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Delicious! We really enjoyed our visit at the restaurant this week. The food was spectacular and coming from someone who lived in Italy - it is authentic and tastes just like a trip to Italy! We had the escargot and rosé gnocchi to start. Both were divine! The rosé gnocchi sauce was amazing and had the most perfect favour - creamy, hint of tomate - perfect! My husband said if we were at home he'd lick the plate! For our mains we both had a veal dish - I forget the names but one was with red sauce and another with white sauce - BOTH delicious and different flavours! The veal was cooked perfectly and such an amazing treat since I don't have veal often. The linguni paired wit my dish was cooked to perfection and was of course freshly made. Finally for dessert we had the lemon tiramisu. It was delicious - light, fluffy, a hint of lemon - perfect! We were treated so nicely and loved our experience! We will be going back soon!

My wife and I just had the best experience at this great restaurant. I read the reviews before going about the owner being rude etc. I can tell you that this was the farthest from the truth from our experience. Chris, the owner and his son Michael were attentive, friendly and engaging. The food, ambience and venue were also amazing. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I just ate here for the THIRD time over the least couple of months. We drive from Cambridge to enjoy this special restaurant. Each time the service has been outstanding and the food is always exceptional.I have read some of the negative reviews re the owner but I can tell he is great. Lots of fun and ready to see that you get wonderful service. Highly recommend Cafe Andreou if you want a great meal.

If we could give 10 stars we would. We had a wonderful time at Cafe Andreou..the food was spectacular and the service was second to none. Highly recommend. We will be returning and bringing family. I have to mention the bathroom was spotless. Thank you for a great evening out!

Still the best food in Brantford and the best value. We ordered a variety of items all made with the freshest of ingredients, beautifully presented and full of flavour. A feast for the senses all around.

I am so utterly disappointed with the treatment I just received Over the phone. We had been there one recently - my fiancée and I had told everyone that would listen that this was our new favourite spot. We had gone once to celebrate our engagement just us two and had had such an amazing experience that we told our family and friends that we would love to host our larger engagement dinner there in the fall. We had called today to see if there was availability to make a reservation and the owner was so incredibly rude. He gave me the third degree on if I had been there years ago. I told him no we went for the first time a month ago for our engagement and I asked if they were full (as in could we get a table) and he told me it’s none of my business and denied the reservation. Said I was bothering him. Needless to say we won’t be having our parents meet each other at this restaurant any more which is disappointing because we had had such an incredibly hosted experience at the end of June. I don’t know if he thought I was someone else or what transpired but we were quiet, kept to ourselves and had a nice time. I cannot believe what just happened - I am still truly shocked.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life. This would be zero stars if i could. My family and I were going for an evening stroll and passed by this restaurant on our walk. We decided to stop in to look at the menu so we could make future reservations. No one was there to greet us so we picked up a menu off the console table in the lobby. A moment later the owner burst into the room and greets us as follows "who do you think you are coming in on a saturday evening without reservations. You dont look like nice people who i want in my restaurant" i was so shocked i have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. I tried to explain to him we were just passing through and wanted to browse a menu so we could make reservations in the future. The owner completely disregared my comments and followed with " i dont care who you are i dont want you here im 72 years old and ive been here 50 years you cant just come in here and look at my menu. At this point we were so appalled at the customer service and started to leave. This man chased us down the side walk screaming at us red in the face looking like he was ready to physically assault us and told me to "take care of my pimple face" as ive been struggling with acne from wearing masks throughout the pandemic. Ive been a waitress my whole life and my partner is a retired chef. We have worked in restaurants our whole life and have never ever seen someone treat a potential customer this way. We live a 2 minute walk away and this could of been a reoccuring restaurant for us to celebrate different occasions, and will forever be known amongst ourselves and all of our friend and family as THE WORST restaurant in Brantford. Good luck to them for trying to stay in business. You have some things to learn about customer service and KINDNESS in general.

This is fine dining at it's best! If you really want to treat yourself...from the moment you walk through the door, you're catered to and pampered. Our waiter, David was lovely. He attended to our keto dietary concerns and made great recommendations. Hubby opted for the rack of lamb which was beautifully presented and ever so succulent. I was so pleased with my escargots, followed by the delicious sausage & peppers! Each was fantastic. We indulged and had dessert...the cheesecake and tiramisu were made in house and left us wanting more! We were so impressed with this establishment....host, waiter, chef are amazing! We will be back! :)

We have a great dining experience every time.The food ,service and atmosphere is excellent. This is a hidden gem and to me one of Brantford's finest..

w don't go very often because we are never sure of the hours ........ but every time we have gone it has been great! Flaming cheese it the best !

We had dinner here last Friday night and will definitely be going back! From being greeted at the front door by the owner, to the excellent service by the wait staff and the delicious meal, it was an outstanding dining experience! Love that they grow many of their vegetable on the grounds and the wait staff can recite how each menu item is prepared and cooked!

Tonight was our very first dinner at Cafe Andreou , and it will definitely not be our last ! We had no idea that this little gem was in Brantford and we're so very glad we found it on Google. Although we were very under dressed, the owner and staff were beyond welcoming and kind to us ! From start to finish our meals were amazing and the staff was so informative about their specials and the process of how everything was made. We will be back to Cafe Andreou very soon and are looking forward to another AMAZING meal . Thank you!!

My husband and I ate there last night, the food was excellent a little pricey but really good! The owner Chris sat us to our table and wanted us to sit against the wall and I said that I would rather sit one over, he got a little upset with me which I thought wasn't appropriate as the place was empty we were the only ones there, other than that it was a great night!

Outstanding service. Amazing, authentic, homestyle Italian cuisine. Thank you for making our special night out - A night we will never forget. We have been here 5 times and each time it is first rate. Great food and welcoming service. Lamb kebobs were mouth watering.

My husband and I just dined here for our anniversary dinner and it's the best meal we've had in a long time. The owner and his son made us feel so welcome and you could tell they were so passionate about their food. We are major foodies and we were SO happy with our experience and will definitely be returning.

We recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants fantastic food from an amazing friendly family who always makes you feel like your special and at home. The steak is the best in town, mmm the lamb woowww And their ever changing soups are to die for. A must go in the brantford area.

Delicious! We each had an appetizer, entree and a desert. Everything was spectacular, the service was amazing, friendly and it was an all around amazing experience!

Just had the most wonderful meal with the love of my life at this fine restaurant. We met the owner and he took us on a tour of the place showing us the fantastic art and telling us the story of the building. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. Thanks for a great time.

Great experience! The food is most amazing. Chris, the owner, is a very friendly person who is not hiding his pride as the owner of the restaurant where they serve the best food. I met with the two chefs, Chris’ sons. They are both very nice young guys. I could not believe they are the ones who make those incredibly tasty and beautifully designed dishes. BRAVO! I am so sorry I did not take a photo with them but certainly will never forget their Armenian eyes. The appetizer I had was the tastiest dish I have ever tasted. I don’t remember the exact name though. French snails? Where can I find your menu? If I will ever be at Brantford, I will definitely visit Café Andreou again.
