Wow! So impressed with this authentic Italian restaurant...with warm, welcoming atmosphere. Visually, the dark coloured walls with the natural elements of stone and wood paired with dim lighting, open kitchen concept created an intimate setting. The food speaks for itself...my Gran Sasso Pizza with pancetta, mushrooms, caramelized onions and truffle oil cream sauce was scrumptious! My husband had a gluten free pasta version of their papardelle in a wild boar ragu with pecorino cheese...MMMM! Service was attentive and personable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys real food in a nice setting. We had a very enjoyable experience and will be returning soon :) Thanks!
By far the best restaurant in Brantford! Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the service is amazing and we always feel like family when we're there! Thank you Patty and Dan (and your family and staff) for your hospitality, friendship, and great food!

This restaurant is a perfect little gem. Patty and Dan and their staff always do everything to make your experience special. The menu is not huge, which means that the food is always freshly homemade with love!
The only problem I have with this restaurant is I don't get to go as often as I'd like! The experience is just plain fun and relaxing the owners and staff excellent!

Best Italian Bistro in Brantford.. Gran Sasso on Paris Road... Great food, reasonably priced and atmosphere.. Will definitely be back!!! Finally found a restaurant that makes an authentic Spaghetti Carbonara!!! Just pasta, bacon, cream sauce and loads of Parmesan Cheese... Dessert was wonderful too house made Tiramisu...

Love this place! It’s small with very personal service and the food tastes amazing. The pastas are excellent and well presented. Try the lasagna or the carbonara.
Have found this little gem in Brantford about 6 months ago and have been coming back ever since. Reservations recommended as it is getting more popular. The beef tenderloin is a must have! Pasta's are perfect portion and flavour. Save room for delicious home made desserts. Warm and welcoming atmosphere.
First time tonight. This is a small restaurant with lots of warm atmosphere. The menu is small enough to make a selection and large enough to provide variety.

Great flavourful food, good portions. We had the antipasto plate, pasta, and desserts. The atmosphere was nice as the restaurant was not very large. I recommend making a reservation.
Great cozy family ran place. We stopped in for lunch and everything was awesome. Good was flavorful and at a very good price. We visited the area from Michigan and will always stop here from now on for lunch or dinner.
Gran Sasso is the greatest Italian food in southern Ontario hands down. I'm an Italian myself and consider the food to be out of this world!
The gran Sasso has the very best Italian cuisine in all of Brantford. Accompanied by a second to none customer service. It is a gorgeous restaurant with exceptional food. I am a regular customer and have had every item on there menu. And can say that every dish is unique and delicious...you'd swear you are in Italy.

Great Restaurant!. We decided to give this restaurant a try as we had heard it was a good place. The place is small, but it can definitely seat a few tables comfortably. The decor of the restaurant is really nice, it has interesting pictures and statues on the wall, it makes it feel like you are in Italy! The servers are very nice and welcoming. When we sat down, we were given menus, then we ordered our meals. The first thing that came out was the complimentary olive dish, which was a nice touch! We then received complimentary foccacia bread and butter. The bread was crunchy and warm, straight out of the oven which was amazing! The butter was amazing, made with garlic and parsley, really good! I love how the water is given to you in a wine bottle, nice touch! Then, our meals came. I ordered the Corradino panino and my mother ordered the Alfredo panino. The Corradino panino was really good! It was veal with sauce and cheese. The buns were thin and pressed on the panini press, really crunchy and hot! The panino also came with a side order of caesar salad, amazing! A panino and a side order of salad for only $9, not too bad! We then ordered raspberry gelato which was also amazing! I felt very comfortable in this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine!

Dinner, sangrias and dessert were delicious and my mother inlaw who is Gluten Free due to an allergy was very happy to be able to eat here as they serve gluten free penne, pizza dough and gnocchi. The patio has a very nice atmosphere and is not within a busy parking lot which made it very enjoyable and service was great, we will definitely be coming back!

Nice little place, staff were very nice and accommodating. Had the stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta to start. Then carbonara and grand sasso penne. Flavours were excellent, quality was very good. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was that the portion sizes were small but the prices were a bit high for the portion sizes. .
The food was excellent and the service was superb.
I'm celiac and dairy free (they have gluten free penne noodles) they made me a roast chicken breast with pesto sauce, grilled veggies and a baked potatoes...It was delicious.
Great food their pasta dishes are fantastic and have many different homemade tomato sauces to choose from also have gluten-free pastas available
Astonishingly delicious! A deceptively, quiet looking place that is really a gastronomic delight. Lamb chops may be best I've ever had anywhere in the world, panko-breaded chicken breast was perfect and pork medallions, divine. Salads were ...:( Caesar had odd taste & overdressed & Garden, drowning in oil but I'll be back for more mains.
