Review Thai Pepper Restaurant - Brampton

Delicious food, kind staff, definitely worth the price. I’ve been ordering the classic thai shrimp fried rice every time for the past 7 years, and have yet to know of a better place. Green curry is nice and decadent too.

Been here 3 times in last 6 months. Their food is amazing. My fave is green chicken curry and Basil eggplant. Super nice staff, you can tell they appreciate their customers and have pride in their dishes. Highly recommend

My favourite dish here is the Green Chicken Curry. So so good. I also really like the Sweet and Sour Tofu.

Fresh clean and delicious. The salads are superb. The service is very friendly so good from order to collection. This has become a trusted take out restaurant several visits never a complaint. Can’t wait to eat in some time.

I would rate this place 0 stars but there’s no option so I’m rating it 1 star. Oh my goddess the service was awful, the person who took my order who also happens to be the owner of this place was so ignorant. I spent $50 for 2 dishes. I specifically asked him for chilli fish with gravy and he was like yes, yes, yes we have it. Then I asked for fine noodles and he was like yes, yes we have it. But when I checked the food at home the fish he gave was a whole fried fish with his eye wide open and the noodles he gave me were burnt and smelled like they were 3 weeks old. As soon I got home I called him and he denied the whole conversation I had when I placed the order and then he hung up on me. After what I saw today I can’t even think of Chinese food in my life ever again. My request to customers is please if you happen to place an order here you should know what you are taking home after your spent your hard worked money.

This place makes you feel at home. Dishes, cutlery and tables are clean. The older gentleman that served us was really nice. We went at an odd time were there was no one in the restaurant and the food was still really good. You can taste the freshness of the veggies in the soup. My wife had the pad Thai and said it was one of the best she has had. I don’t live anywhere near Brampton but would defiantly come back to try out more dishes. Recommend this place if you are in the area.

Great Thai Food Ordered pineapple chicken, cashew nut chicken, green thai curry and mango salad and everything was delicious. The staff gave me a call 10 minutes in advance so I could pick up my order while it was still hot! Great service and price.

omg the soups tasted amazing, great flavours and perfect portions. I would recommend the coconut chicken. Service was excellent, big smile and soft spoken! Very respectable people staff!

The service was amazingly friendly! The food was tasty and the price was reasonable. My husband love the soups here! I liked the dish with the different appetizers so I can try a variety of everything. I would come back again.

Amazing food ordered One vegetarian and other chicken pad thai. Only bad part was they told 40 mins wait time but got food in 70 mins as excuse given was alot of dine in ( not many ) and take out . So will give 3

This is my go to Thai restaurant. I have been there dozens of times and have never been<br/>disappointed. Food comes steady and not all at once. Can get busy and you wait a little longer.<br/>But for me and my guests - totally worth the wait.

Delicious food. Recommended by a friend who warned us we would probably need to wait a bit for our food but that its worth the wait. I had the yellow curry which had the perfect spice level and was very flavourful. The curries here are very thin so be sure to order rice with it. Ive been back a few times and for takeout. The pad thai is a staple option, i typically get the beef noodle. As for apps steer clear of the golden baskets, go for the chicken skewers and order everything with the peanut sauce it is soooo good!!! Seems to be family run, wife cooks, husband on the desk and waits tables, daughters wait tables as well when they are there. The service can sometimes seem unfriendly, dont be put off by it.

Amazing thai food. Nice ambience! Dessert "banana with ice cream" was mouth watering. Would love to visit again!<br/>The staff working is also polite, helpful and cooperative. Place is neat and clean.

A quaint Thai dine-in offering authentic taste:<br/><br/>One of the first experiences of eating out in Brampton and what a good experience it was.<br/>I started by ordering chicken satay on skewers with sweet sauce which got me warmed-up.<br/>Then, I ordered a barbeque chicken with drunken stirfry noodles. Chicken was cooked proper and barbequed to perfection with sauce on side. Noodles had abundunt veggies and chicken.<br/><br/>Price for 2 : 26$ incl. taxes<br/>Overall experience : Thumps up!!

Good food, pleasant and fast service. Will be going back to try other dishes. Had the mixed vegetables and rice. Vegetables were not overcooked. Asked for modified dish of the red chicken curry and they were willing to oblige. The restaurant was clean and atmosphere was cozy.

Great little spot that really doesn't took like much from the outside. The satays were very good and tasty. Crispy on the outside and tender inside. The Basil chicken was great with a little heat and tasty. The chart chicken was good, sweet but good.

Ordered 2 chicken curry & 2 noodles dishes. Took over 1 hour to receive the order. There were hardly any chicken pieces in both the chicken curry and portions were VERY small for the price. The noodles were very blend and mediocre at best. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great for takeout only. The food is fairly good when the wait staff finally decides to grace you with its presence. Have tried eating here numerous times and it only gets worse. It takes 15 min to even place orders for drinks and on average an hour and a half to receive mains.<br/>And the attitude of the two young women serving is one of a complacent slug.<br/>It's too bad as the food has merit just not worth the wait and aggrevation.<br/>get it to go!

A True Favourite. I've eaten at Thai Pepper many times and introduced several friends to their great food. Yes it takes longer to get your meal than from a fast food place but cooking fresh food ALWAYS takes longer. It's well worth the wait! The food has consistently been fresh and tasty, prices are very reasonable as well. I love this place and will continue to bring friends for a great meal.

Must try!!!. I've been to many Thai restaurants, and yet I keep coming back to this one. The owner is very friendly and the ladies that host and serve are also very welcoming! I am telling you right now that the food is worth every second of the wait. I see a lot of complaints about the service and the time, but I can understand that they are just trying to do the best they can with this restaurant. I can also see that they try their very best to cater to the customers' needs, ie. allowing slight changes in the meals, ex. tofu instead of chicken. This restaurant is ultimately my favourite!<br/><br/>If you like curry: must try the Thick curry with peanut sauce. Stir-fry: Any basil dish, and the Drunken Noodles are the best noodle dish along with the Pad Thai.

Service for take out. It took over an hour for my take out order today. I ordered at 6.35 pm and the lady on phone asked to pick up by 7.15. Un usually long time but aftet 7.36 im still waiting to be delivered the order we placed. The store did not show any concern for being so bad in service. They cgarged full price even though it was their fault to keep me waiting. Atrocious service.

Worth the wait !. Although you have to wait a while to get your food it is worth it.<br/>I love the fact that it is a family owned business, and everytime I order from him i always feel 100% satisfied with my decision. Someday's i order a spicy Tom Yum chicken soup to go and pick it up on my way home.<br/>Perfect light dinner meal !

Take Out to Throw Out. I just ordered vegetable pad thai from Thai Pepper and picked it up around 8:30pm (just before close) at the 2 Fisherman Dr. location in Brampton, ON. Upon picking it up my wife and got back into our car excited to eat when we got home. When we opened the pad thai container, the food had a distinctive smell, a smell of spoiled food. We brushed it off and didn't think much of it... but as we continued to eat the dish, our suspicion was quickly validated by the taste. The food is now sitting in my garbage bin.<br/><br/>My wife and I will not be eating from Thai Pepper again.

Food is pretty good here, however portions are slightly smaller than other places!

Good Food TERRIBLE SERVICE. Waiting at least 40min for our food to arrive..at which point she brought out the wrong plate and had to go make the proper dish. If you have patience the pad thai is amazing but small portions also the service could not be worse. I would definitely consider take out from this place but NEVER EVER dine in. Unless I want to play a nice long game of chess....while waiting for my food.

Not worth the money. We ordered three things, a pad thai for each of us, fried tofu and spring rolls and, to be honest, you'd be better off saving your money and buying the stuff from the Bramalea City Centre food court. My normal place is closed on Tuesdays, so this was an attempt at something new and it was a total fail.<br/>The Pad Thai was very over cooked, and very light on the protein and the shrimp were frozen for sure.<br/>The fried tofu was like a warmed up dish sponge and the spring rolls could have just as easily been Presidents Choice (and would have been bigger if there were from Fortinos, four small ones for what other places would charge for 4-6 large ones)<br/>Maybe it was just a one off bad night, but I'm never going back.

Amazing Thai food!. Decided to try this restaurant and happy I did! I had no clue what to order other than the Pad Thai but no worries the people working there helped me out. I'm a little confused about the some of the reviews saying the service was bad. I found them very helpful and nice. I ended up with the Mango chicken, Pineapple fried rice and Pad Thai. Everything was tasty and fresh! I will definitley be back!

Sublime!. Thai Pepper serves some of the finest Thai food this side of the pacific! The flavours, textures and aromas are mouthwatering. Patrons must realize that this is not a fast food restaurant. Great Food but terrible service. There is only 2 people working at a time. We waited one and a half hours for our food.

Worst customer service ever!. We had family visiting on Sunday night and decided to order take out from them. Was told order would take about 30 minutes. After we placed our order and paid for it we went to food basics and had a car wash, came back to Thai pepper and was told our order was not done yet. We kept asking the girl why is it that people hat came in to eat at the resturant at the same time as we did had already finished their meal and left. She told us they ordered less food. She made a ton of excuses she the most unpleasant person I've met. We had our 1.5 year old with us waiting around but she didn't care our daughter was hungry. It took over 1.5 hours for our food to be done. By the time we got home, being a school night our family had already left. The girls only response was that its not their fault they were busy. They had 3 tables to serve. That's not busy. They obviously pushed our order back to accommodate the few sit ins they had. The owner didn't care, he ran back into the kitchen as soon as he seen us at the counter so he didn't have to deal with our complaint. My husband ask the girl you're seriously not gonna do anything about this and she goes no. It's not their problem. He then says he well never come back here again. She goes whatever. Worst restaurant experience I've had.<br/><br/>We spent over $100 for our family to enjoy and it became a totally Waste. Terrible terrible restaurant!

Good authentic thai food in Brampton . Portion size could be a bit bigger but other then that it's great little restaurant. I would recomend this place.

The food was excellent and it came quite quickly. The service was decent too. My only complaint was that the bathroom smelled like moth balls and the air conditioning was either off or too low. It was HOT in there!

Had thick curry shrimp and sticky rice for take out. Very delicious and ready fast. Seving size could have been a bit larger but big enough. I am used to having left overs from my usual chinese place but the taste was different (thai) and great so I will definately go back.

Wow! Soooo good! Fresh spring rolls were amazing! The pad thai was the best ive ever had! I'll be back for sure.

Amazing Thai food! Had Cashew Nut Chicken. Been there twice now this month and both times got that dish. Had takeout first time. Was ready in under 10 mins. Loved it so much that I took my wife to go and have a nice sit down dinner. It's a small place but still had a very nice time.

TERRIBLE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Terrible waste of time! Went in for take out, placed 2 orders told it would take 20 minutes, an HOUR later no food. When I speak with the manager he had nothing to say and provided no customer service. I advised that I was now late for an event and was given time management advice by the teenager @ the front desk! After leaving WITHOUT food I see 3 people who ordered after me walk out with their food!!!! So my husband goes back and is told our food isn't ready STILL!!!!!!!!!!!!! <br/><br/>TERRIBLE NEVER WILL GO BACK EVER

So good! I love the food, the atmosphere and the people! I've been going there for almost 2 years now and its always great tasting food and they never dissapoint! I love my food extra spicy so when i ask for it extra spicy they deliever. I always start of with a chicken lemongrass soup, then i usualy get a chicken basil dish and chicken basil fried rice my favourites. Once you've tried their soup you cannot go to any other thai resturants it will never be as good, i love the fact that this is a family owned and runned resturan and i support that 100% !

Great Thai Food!. Since moving to Brampton, I was in the search for some great Thai food and I came across this place by accident. It's near my house and I decided to try it out. I LOVE their Pad Thai and their rice dishes are so flavorful. It's good value for the portions and price and it's my new favourite place to get food!

We decided tonight to order food for pick-up as we had a huge craving for thai food and have heard this place is amazing. We call and order and they say 20-25 minutes. My husband arrives there after about 22 minutes, only to sit and wait another 30 minutes for them to tell him he had to wait at least 15-20 more minutes! And the restaurant wasn't even busy! What a waste of time! We will never even attempt to order from here again! So disppointing! Then we called to talk to the manager to compain, and he wouldn't even come to the phone. So my husband talked to the girl who answered the phone and just said I understand its not your fault but I still would like an apology or something and she hung up on him! Completely disgusting!

Just finished my first taste test. Ordered veg pad thai. Great flavor but mushy noodles ( hate that!), nice med spice (ordered Bangkok spicy -could've been a little hotter) and not very sweet (typical problem) Will be back for sure!

Poor Service/Sour waitstaff/not worth the drive to Brampton. Have frequented this resto for 4-5 yrs prior to moving to T.O.Generally great service and good food.<br/>Horrible experience this past Saturday:<br/>-2 young wait staff with very sour demeanours<br/>-waited 15 minutes before they acknowledged our existance and another 10 to be seated (plenty of tables available)<br/>-another 15 minutes to place an order<br/>-20 minutes for the soup to arrive<br/>-another 20 minutes for the Green Mango salad<br/>-waited another 60 minutes and still no mains. Politely asked the waitstaff for an expected time of arrival for the mains-'we don't know'.<br/>-we promptly canceled the remainder of our order and left for NEGRONI's in Toronto-never dissapointed there!

I have been eating at thai pepper for about 5 years and I have not yet found another place tht does phad thai better than Thai pepper. Also the best calamari ever. Seriously favourite restaurant ever

Quickly became one of my favorites in Brampton. This place has rapidly become one of my favorites in Brampton. The day after I tried it for the first time, I went back the very next day. Then again later that week, and I think I'm going to go tomorrow ;)<br/><br/>Everything I've tried has been delicious, but I haven't gotten adventurous with the menu yet. Tried Pad Thai, Shrimp rolls, Calamari, Spring rolls, and some drunken noodles thing. All have been really good and the people running it couldn't be nicer.. I'm just getting into Thai food admittedly but I am definitely a fan of this place

I really like this place; it's tiny and the service is slow but the food is great. I have only ever seen one guy working there; it seems like a family affair.
