Review Wimpy's Diner - Brampton

Been here more than once and one of the best all day out there in Brampton. The home fries are really good and tasty. The staffs are very courteous. The retro feel vibe is really adding to the breakfast mood.

Ordered for pickup, The twist breakfast combo, with rye toast the chicken waffles Benedict, and a gravy. The twist combo was delicious. Half of it was filled with potatoes. The sausage, bacon and eggs were warm and tasted great. I found the chicken in the Chicken waffles Benedict to be a bit over fried for my liking. That's why I took off a star. The gravy was meh. I wouldn't ordered the gravy again. They were very generous with the hollandaise sauce which treated great. It even tasted great on the chicken. The staff was friendly and my order was ready quickly. I would come back.

This place is amazing! Visited this diner multiple times for dine in and the food and service is always great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Every dish we ordered has been delicious!

Ive lived in brampton forever and I have walked past Wimpy's for years and always though to go in, but I just passed it by. A few weeks ago my friends and I went spontaneously, and I can honestly say I wish I went earlier. And I've been there another two times since. Great food, great staff. We didnt have to wait long for our food. Milkshakes are fantastic. Awesome desert selection. Its all day breakfast, which was my favorite part because I can always go for a pancake (which are well made here, fluffy and soft, not too heavy). Really good menu selection overall. Last time I was there they still were not doing indoor seating due to covid, but now that we are entering phase three I am excited to finally sit inside. Its got a nice retro vibe, like 70s 80s diner feel. 10/10 reccomend.

The food was typical diner food offering many choices on the menu including all day breakfast. We had the burger melt with fries and the breakfast poutine. Was tasty and good value. Portions were large. Service was pleasant and quick. Booths were comfortable. Was early dinner midweek so not very busy.

The staff is super friendly. Rod (waiter/and one of the owners I believe) was an absolute pleasure to chat with, and gave great recommedations on what to order. It was a fun visit.

Went for brunch this morning with my basketball team between games. The food was very good, the portions are big, and the service was nice. The flashback combo is insanely big so get that if you’re hungry. The breakfast poutine is apparently good as well.

Absolute worst experience ever. Waited for over 25 minutes to be served. They then forgot about our order and waited over an hour to get that. The burgers were very gross and messy. The club sandwich was very dry. The inside of the restaurant was very disgusting. When paying the bill, I asked for a compensation, they took $4 off the $70 order. Unbelievable. Never will go here again or recommend to anyone.

Great service! Pauline was super enthusiastic and passionate about the menu specials and making sure we enjoyed our meal! Great coleslaw too!

2018/04/29<br/>We were heading back home after being out of town for the day, and we stopped at Wimpy’s for dinner. The place was almost empty, so getting a table was not a problem. It’s a fairly typical Wimpy’s, with lots of bold colours, chrome, and lots of memorabilia crammed onto the walls. <br/><br/>SWBMO chose the Junior Burger Melt, which is essentially a grilled cheese sandwich, with a burger and grilled onions tossed in for good measure. We had had a big lunch, so this was just enough for dinner. <br/><br/>I went with the Garden Salad with Grilled Chicken Breast. Nothing thrilling, but it met my needs. <br/><br/>Service was very good, but then again, the restaurant was mostly empty. The server checked in with us a couple of times.

This was my go to place when I lived on queen and bramalea, the food it good and love the classic diner look, service is always great, I have not been here on 3-4 years, but plan to be here soon

Firstly, the portion sizes at this location are bigger than the oshawa Wimpy's. I would not suggest getting a side of #poutine unless you have a big appetite. The veg burgers are tasty, I got them with bbq sauce. The onion rings were good, simple coating and fried. The Smokey #poutine was LOADED. When I say loaded I mean loaded with toppings. I omitted bacon and it came with hot banana peppers, grilled onions and chipotle sauce. It is a sweet and smokey mix. I got it packed and think it tasted better the 2nd time around just because I was hungrier. I would suggest putting less of the toppings on it though. The owner was courteous and asked us how the food was as did the server. Cute little retro American style diner. Offers something different.

This is a neat little diner. Our usual faves are the Eggs Benedict and the cheeseburger with its oddly-shaped, oversized patty. Not necessarily because it's the best burger I've ever had (though it IS pretty darn good) but because it's go different. When you're eating it, it makes you feel like there's so much meat it's literally overflowing. Pretty novel I think.<br/><br/>We've also had the turkey dinner and hot beef sandwich. Both pretty much exactly as you'd expect it from a diner, which is a good thing. Wednesday is all you can eat spaghetti and meatballs, which as also surprisingly good.

Amazing fish n chips!!. I went in with my husband on a weekday and ordered fish n chips. The fish and fries were golden crispy and tasted great. My husband ordered wimpy's omelette from the all day breakfast menu which was delicious. I would like to point out the portions on both items were huge. Our waitress was nice and kept checking up on us. We enjoyed our experience and will be going back again.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time was a good experience, food was good and service was good as well. However after the second occurrence we will never go back again. <br/><br/>Our server's name was Kristi. We ordered the exact same breakfast we ordered the first time. My husband's egg benedict was brought to him 5 minutes before my eggs and bacon were brought to me. Kristi didn't even acknowledge the fact that I had to wait 5 minutes for my meal. My food was cold, as if it had been sitting there and she had just forgotten about it. Then to top it off, she forgot my drink. Never came back to ask how everything was, and when she brought our bill, says "oh I forgot your drink, did you want it to go because I already put it on your bill". I asked her to take it off my bill as it's not my problem she forgot it. Not once did she apologize for her lack of service. It's a shame that one bad experience and awful server can ruin it. My husband and I will not be going back to Wimpy's on Torbram.

HORRIBLE. I've never been to a restaurant where everything from customer service to the food was just simply terrible. The waitress we had was just so rude and seemed like she wanted us out of there. Like others here are saying, she just drops food on the table and goes. When it was time to pay, she waited beside us and HELD HER HAND OUT waiting for me to pull out my wallet, get my cash out and count it. You can imagine how annoyed me and my gf was considering that we both have been servers for a couple of years ourselves. The food couldn't even make up for the poor service. The gravy they used tasted like the powder wasn't completely mixed in and the meatloaf seemed like microwaveables. DO NOT GO HERE. Please, save your time and money.

TERRIBLE. Do not go to this restaurant if you are expecting good customer service. I walked into the restaurant to take my younger cousin to lunch and the waitress was just terrible. I have never received such unacceptable customer service. She was rude, she didn't show us to a table, she slammed our food down on the table without a word. She did not answer me when I politely asked questions. Sickeningly rude. The food was also terrible and overpriced. Never going back.

Below standard. Went for breakfast Sunday morning, the waitress was quite rude She basically dropped the food on the table and left. The pancakes tasted of the dirty grill and had the taste of the other foods being prepared. Then found pieces of green pepper and potatoes at the bottom of the pancakes. Dont get me wrong, not expecting 5 star service -- but the food should at least be decent and a simple "your welcome" after your customers say thank you isn't too much to ask. Other Wimpy's locations are great, this one --not so much. Go to Denny's down the road.

It was our first and last time we will go there. This is the Brampton location at Torbram where we went. We walked in and the waitress walked by my family 3 times and didn't even acknowledge us until we had said something. So we left and will never try again.

Could do better. Wimpy's used to be my favourite place to eat when we lived in Toronto. We moved to Brampton and found one about a ten minute drive away. The older waitress is a sweet heart and I love her services whereas the younger fat chicks have no clue about customer service- so why do they frown when I don't tip her? She didn't deserve it. The food here is usually dry and for the cost not worth it. <br/><br/>Also the kitchen men, there's this one South Indian/Sri Lankan who works in the kitchen and he always stares which makes it very uncomfortable to eat. He focuses more on me and my sister eating rather than trying to prepare good food- maybe that's why it's tasteless.<br/><br/>Would we go back? Maybe if Denny's shuts down and we're really desperate- other than that... NO

Only 4 seater tables. I went to go for breakfast with my family. There are 5 of us. There are only booths that seat 4 people. So we left because there wasn't appropriate seating. The waitress basically rolled her eyes at us. Do they expect groups to sit at separate tables? It's silly.

Excellent food for the price. Big portions, and good service. The burger is probably the best thing on the menu, and the sandwiches are awesome. I really love Wimpy's!!

Johnny came back for the weekend, so before we left, we went to Wimpy's Diner for our lunch and his breakfast. I remember the breakfast being subpar, so I gave it another chance and hoped lunch was better. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich.

Food is ok but service has a lot of room for improvement! The tend to forget about orders completely and go onto other customers, leaving you wanting for over half an hour. This has happened more than once and not just to me. <br/>
