It was great Experience. Whattey Buffet. Antic Look of Punjab Interior staff was Really Good !
Absolutely loved the variety of buffet options here. There were so many options that we couldn't try most of them. The starter drinks were super yummy and the dishes were delicious! The dishes aren't too spicy and well prepared to be loved my all. I personally loved the milkshakes, biryani and the variety of appetizers. Awesome place to have treats with friends and family and the ambience was pretty good.
Superb place for buffet enthusiasts. It has 12 different food stations serving variety of Indian food from chaat, south indian, paav bhaji to traditional north indian tandoori items and rich gravy items & biryanis etc. Though the price is a bit high it's worth a visit.
Frankly speaking, I was so skeptical to go to this restaurant, owing to a plethora of negative reviews to this place in Zomato. But some recent positive reviews written by some good samaritans in google was the reason I set foot in this place. The ambiance easily catches the eye and it was pretty laid back with a huge seating space. The spread was huge as they mentioned on their website. We went for dinner early at 5:30 PM and there were hardly any people.
Coming to the food, most of the items I tasted ranged from good to very good. I didn't understand the slew of negative reviews to this place. Barring a few items, most of them were prepared fresh (maybe because we checked-in as soon as they opened). The following are some of the notable items in the spread:
1. Dosa: Didn't expect this to be in the menu and the Dosa was served just out of the pan. It was good. Ask for a fresh Dosa and they will oblige.
2. Pindi Chana- Bature: The chana masala was amazing.
3. Shahi Paneer: The best of the lot IMO.
4. Dal Tadka and Dal Makhni were okayish.
5. Biryani was yummy but the rice was a tad little chewy.
6. Murg Malai Tikka was amazing!
7. Pani Puri: Besides the fact that we had to make it ourselves which is a tedious job in that hullabaloo, Pani puri really tasted good.
8. Malai Paneer was okayish.
9. I had a single bite of Aloo Tikki, onion rings, and Pav bhaji and all of them were okayish.
10. Desserts: Gulab jamun, Rasgulla, Pineapple Phirni, and Kheer were awesome. The rest were passable.
There are many items which I didnt try such as ice creams, salads, and some bhujia sev mixtures.
Overall, it was a good visit. Do check-in early for fresh food. ;)
Delicious Food, amazing options. Would totally recommend it. I have tried many such restaurants in the area, but hands down, this is the best one
Tandoori Flame Brampton is by far the best in variety and everything. We gave a nice tip and were shocked how not many people tip. They really work hard and deserve it. They should add a 10% mandatory tip to the bill so the staff get something guaranteed.
Love these statues outside the restaurant both the exterior and interiors are awesome!!
What an elaborate buffer never ending choice of Indian food from all states of India
The food was too spicy very chilli hot cudnt deal with it Actually cudnt even taste the food as was too too hot
We were there on the weekend at 10.30 pm since the restaurant closes at 11 pm we couldn't have a buffet so had a la carte
We ordered goat vindaloo and paneer tikka Masala
The tikka masala was yellow gravy to my surprise
And goat vindaloo was way too spicy couldn't eat it
Naans were ok
THE BEST Indian food in Canada you’ll ever eat. Not too expensive, not too cheap. It’s worth it. Great taste and varieties of food. It’s finger licking delicious. Thanks!
Went here for their buffet on my birthday and glad for the decision! the buffet spread is great and you can definitely find more choices than you can possibly eat. Their veg and non-veg dishes are equally good and desserts section is to die for. If you are missing Indian sweets, your taste buds will surely thank you for going here. Not to be missed if Indian food is on your mind!
Unique concept, very welcoming ambience, loved the auto rickshaw at the entrance, the dhaba-like decor. Dosas were made to order, with a nice stuffing and chutney, chaat papdi, farsan etc was plenty. Drinks menu was stupendous with Indo-western fusion options. It resembled Kelseys menu with an Indian twist. Service was prompt and kind. Good place for families.
Great food good pricing. Festive season or some special occasions at this place will surely make a great difference I have been there couple times but during festivals they have the best menus with the greatest of quality. Very friendly staff
Amazing Experience!!! Wonderful place with wonderful food!! The buffet spread is HUGE!! It felt like HOME!! The staff is also very generous and professional!! Great service and reasonable pricing on the buffet!! Gonna visit soon!!
Had been to this place recently. Tried out their buffet lunch which was very good ( Specially loved their butter chicken). They had a amazing variety of items. Seating was great. Service was good. Loved the ambience too. Overall a good place.
Great buffet and take out, the food is consistently good every time. Delivery can take a while but pick up is usually good. The parking lot is crap but that's not their fault.
BEST. INDIAN. LUNCH. BUFFET. EVER. His place has it all - the ambience, the variety, and most importantly the flavour. This is the perfect restaurant to cheat on your diet with. All your cravings get satisfied under one roof. And this, comming from a vegetarian! Don't think twice. Go for it. The service is also really great! :)
Finally the buzz to visit the place ended. Stopped between lunch dinner time . Empty restaurant , alot of choices definitely. Not many of vegetarian options, but overall everything tasted good. Could be better with having non normal dishes
As an Indian Buffet restaurant, they have many options. They have amazing variety of appetizers, main course, dessert!
I felt that servers were not at all friendly.
The food was average! Ambition was nice. Overall it was a good experience.
I've eaten here multiple times, and its great! However I went one time on a Saturday, and it was even better! But you have to pay more on weekends. Nevertheless the food is very flavorful, and abundant. Lots of different Tandoori style chicken to choose from. Various meat, and veg curry dishes as well. The dessert bar was just "meh", but not on Saturday. The staff is accommodating, and polite. Do yourself a favor, and go there... ps I've only been to the Brampton location.
Dre: I'm not a big Indian food eater, so I usually eat the same things at an Indian restaurant. One of my friends came back to visit and we organized a girls dinner out for all of us. My usuals are butter chicken, fish pakora, chicken biryani, and of course naan bread. Repeat this dish 3-4 times and I am good. My final dessert plate was some soft serve ice cream with.... Naan bread!
Generally I have noticed that whenever you go for a buffet the quality of food comes down. But it's not the case here. The food, the desert and in fact every thing was good and up to the mark.
The only reason for not giving a 5 star rating is because I could see servers wandering around to see when you are going to leave the chair. Sometimes its frustrating.
Honestly, this was our go-to Indian place until we looked up the reviews for the (new at the time) Mississauga location and discovered some criticisms that we frankly couldn't disagree with. Nothing horrible, just that there were better options. So after a little looking we found something better (India's Taste) and that has since become our go-to place.
But Tandoori Flame isn't a bad place and perhaps presents better than our new favorite if entertaining or having a business lunch.
Tandoori Flame is the ultimate Indian buffet located in Brampton (which is to Indians what Markham is for Asians). The place itself kind of reminded me of an old museum that they made into a mecca for all things curry and tandoori. The restaurant is very clean and spacious and able to house any number of guests that you decide to bring in your party. But be wary as this place gets packed quick.
There are various stations that offer up some really good eats. You can start with samosas and fish pakora before picking up some naan to start the meal. They also offer up pizza and soups which were a bit out of place, but good to know that there are options. The naan is constantly being refreshed, but it is probably the quickest thing to go. The naan is warm, fresh, and buttered oh so slightly to make your taste buds whimper a bit.
For meat lovers, there are a number of chicken and goat dishes to adhere to your tastes. There is a halal and non-halal station, which offers up items like butter chicken, chili chicken, goat curry, and chicken biryani. The chicken korma was my favorite as the sauce was rich and sweet, but not as heavy as the butter chicken. The curries were decent, but tasted a bit off compared to more traditional Indian restaurants. The noodles and rice are a bit bland and stale. Avoid the starch and attack the meat with your naan and you should be good to go.
There are vegetarian options as well as a salad bar. They have a variety of vegetarian curries and starches, but to be honest, I rarely made my way around that area so I'm unsure as to what exactly much of it was. The salad bars contained all the Western staples so nothing of interest here, unless you want your standard caesar salads and pasta salads as well.
Desserts include various pastries, fruits, cakes, and ice cream. The ice cream station houses about 6 different flavors, but none of which were unique to Tandoori Flame. The Indian desserts didn't seem to fresh, but I love that the Gulab Jamun was heated and warm. Can't get enough of those.
Tandoori Flame is a must go if you haven't been. I do think that if you have never tried Indian food before, you should give this place a chance in order to get a gauge as to the things you may enjoy. Loved the service and the prices are definitely not bad for a weekend dinner. Didn't notice any big culinary changes between lunch and dinner so if you want to save a bit of money, I'd opt for the lunch.
Also, clear the rest of your schedule. You're going to need a full day to recover from the instant food coma.
I'm serious.
Wow ! JUST Wow ! Never imagined I could eat this full in Canada. Reminded me of Indian Buffet. The food was awesome ! The service at one of the best I have received. Some dishes were less spicy and its agreed keeping the customer base in mind.. I would love to return here again !!👌👌👌👌👌👍
FOOD:
We had come here for dinner on a Sunday evening at around 6:00 pm. When we had walked-in, we had noticed that there was a medium-sized area with all of the food contained inside of it. We did notice that the food serving stations were a lot smaller than other larger-scaled buffets however, it was a good enough size for the amount of people dining at that time. One section had the Hot Curried-Meats, while the others had Salad, Fruit, Dessert, and Pizza/Naan/Samosas.
I had particularly liked the Butter Chicken, Rice, and Naan, although the Naan was a bit burnt, it still tasted good when dipped in the Butter Chicken Sauce. They also offered many different curry dishes, all of which were steaming hot, and tasted well-prepared. I didn’t find the Samosas as delicious as I would have hoped as they were small, and the insides were not very spicy; also, their temperature was not very hot (it seemed as though they may have been sitting there for a while).
I was tempted to try making my own Chaat Papri however, I had noticed that the yogurt was sitting in a tub full of half-melted ice therefore, I decided to pass on that as I wasn’t sure how long the yogurt had been sitting there. I did love all of the options they had for Ice Cream (about eight flavours available) however, the non-Indian dessert section itself was horrible, with many store-bought cakes and cookies which tasted old and outdated (and many were not replenished during the entire time I was dining). The Gulab Jamun were quite delicious, prompting me to have two of them as they were that good. There was also a Cotton Candy machine, with someone giving out sticks of Cotton Candy to the interested patrons, definitely something I’ve never seen before.
ATMOSPHERE:
There were a variety of rooms available at this location, with a party room situated at the back of the restaurant. There was also a bar area near the buffet stations, with ample room for people to sit down and grab a drink. I did find that the décor was nicely done, with ribbons hanging from the wall, and a variety of statues near the buffet stations. I did find it a bit too tight though as the tables were much too close together, often resulting in someone from one table having to get up in order to allow someone from another table to sit down. Also, I could only imagine how it would be on busy evenings as the food serving area was quite small. One neat thing though was the photo booth at the front of the restaurant, which allows you to take a picture of yourself, then email it to yourself or others; something I had never seen before at any restaurant.
SERVICE:
Once we were seated, we went up to get our food periodically throughout our stay. We did notice that various people came by to collect our dishes, and at times, even filling up our water glasses. Each of the servers seemed friendly enough, although it was hard to tell as each person that came to our table was different. They were attentive at times, but not at all times, especially when one person in our party had wanted to order a drink (it took a bit of time for someone to notice that we had wanted to order something).
COST:
3 Buffet Dinners = $23.99/Person (Sunday Evening Dinner Price); TOTAL: $93.17 (With Taxes Included)
WOULD YOU RETURN?
Although some of the food was delicious, I just didn’t feel as though I had eaten my money’s worth. I would have definitely been satisfied eating one dish at a lower cost than eating more than that. However, this place definitely has some great options, and I would surely urge you all to give it a try.
Came here a couple times. The variety and selection was great. Great place for family dinners and celebrations. The food was tasty. It was a little pricy, but no complaints.
A huge restaurant with good choice of veg and non-veg food. As an Indian I like their most of the dishes, specially chat and golgappas. Gajar ka halwa was excellent. Their tandoori and butter chicken is good. But, I didn't liked their Biriyani. All over a good place for non Indians who does not have a clear idea of Indian cuisine. Some must try dishes are tandoori chicken, butter chicken (very spicy), harialy kebob, butter naan gajar ka halwa and definitely the chat counter.
Loved it! They have so many dishes to try and all at a decent price. Great authentic meat dishes and delicious sweets! The drinks are quite creative and not too strong. Beautiful decor and courteous staff! Must try.
Indian food isn't my favourite, but I do like several dishes a lot. Tandoori Flame is a "safe" place to take people that are not familiar with Indian food, as they have a lot of variety there. I'm a very boring Indian food eater, as I can usually just eat Butter Chicken and Naan bread. I tried a couple of their curries, but it was too spicy for me. I enjoyed the Fish Pakara and some of the basmati rice dishes. I also had a couple samosas too.
Been here many times.. Great food and ambience.. Specially chaat station is awesome with delicious gol gappas. Only thing.. Service can be a little better.
Very expansive buffet. Sadly, none of the dishes I tried had much heat. The Tandoori meats and breads were good.
Good buffet. Food quality is good but service was bit slow.. may be it was busy night. The Ambiance is nice. snacks section is highy recommended...
Plentiful buffet where you can get a flavour of Indian cuisine.
Just above average. I have been to this building before when Brar was there (veg-only). I enjoyed my visit today. I was with a party of 4, a table was available on a sunday at around 1pm. We got one close to the buffet area. The food was good. I recommend the chaat area and the tandoori chicken (very good). The naan was a bit doughy, chewy, not as crisp as it should be. Goat curry was also good. Everything else is average, but the atmosphere was great. The waiters were all polite and average in tending to refilling water and clearing our empty plates. All in all, I will definatley go there again. The buffet prices are a bit steep, so prepare to fill up as there is a 2 hour limit. Thumbs up (not the indian coke).
Amazing restaurant! All of the food that I ate was hot, fresh and extremely tasty. I was very impressed and will definitely be going back.
Good place, good food, service definitely needs improvement though. Variety of dishes available, they're good, not the best, it is a buffet after all. It is an Indian restaurant and not Pakistani, which is why they don't serve any beef. Which is understandable, but kinda sucks.
Plenty to Choose. We went on a Friday afternoon. It was a good deal, so much to choose from at the buffet. Many items were freshly made right in front of us and I quite enjoyed watching the chef make/put naan!
I especially loved the deep fried fish, it was soft and really yummy! Would definitely go back. One suggestion though, its harder to get food when there's a crowd, long lines! I guess it's a very popular place!
Good buffet food but be warned - if you go on a Friday or Saturday night the servers will be overwhelmed. I was ignored the entire night once, and the other times they came by once to fill our tiny water glasses. Worth it if you don't care too much about good service.
Large selection of good indian food. Clean Restaurant.
Food For Everyone. This is the best indian buffet I've been to. Tons of selection. I've been there a few times now, never disappointed.
Best Buffet !. This is like the "Mandarin" of Indain buffets! It's awesome there, there's a lot of varieties, apps, mains, desserts. There's something for everyone. A little crowded, and the service is okay.
Good. I have been there a few times and the food is always delicious. There are lots of variety, and wonderful flavours. Being a West Indian, I cannot comment on the authenticity of the Indian style foods. However, it tasted excellent to my palate. I will certainly recommend the place and continue to go to Tandoori Flame.
Big and reliable buffet. Work very close to this restaurant and have been here both lunch and dinner. It is clean and service is courteous. Food is fresh and plentiful and good selection overall.
There are quite a few Indian buffets around this place but this is busier than others and there are good reasons as it's consistent and reliable,
Wonderful buffet spread. Pretty much the biggest indian buffet i have ever seen...........
lot of variety
wish we had something like this in st louis
