Simply fantastic. Perfect setting. Unbelievably kind and pleasant hosts. As a cabinetmaker, the lovely lady working today let me loose in the historic woodworking shop. Can’t say enough good things. Worth the 3 hour journey
Tyrone Mills is an excellent historic site to visit. The store has a selection of home made treats - including their famous donuts, locally made tarts, and more. A huge selection of hot sauces! Flour and cake/cookie and scone mixes are also available for sale at the store. Ice cream, apple cider, fresh made bread..... it has it all. On top of that.. Tyrone Mill is an operating grist and sawmill shop! With a fully stocked lumber yard selling different types and grades of wood, and a blacksmith shop. Worth the drive north of Bowmanville.
i love going there its like stepping back in time.. i bring my son sometimes to fish in the pond he loves it.. the buttertarts are so good too, and its nice and relaxing there.
We have been going here for the last 6 years and have enjoyed everything we have tried, Our favorite of coarse is the fresh donuts :) but the muffin mixes and flours are all great as well. The small town atmosphere and the always friendly staff make it a stop you wont forget,
I dropped by The Mill on Sunday with my family. We picked up some great local products (honey, jam & delicious bread) and topped it off with a dozen donuts, that were even better than I remembered as a kid. We'll definitely be back soon!
You have to enjoy their donuts. I buy a dozen each time I'm near there! Good selection of maple products, jams, crafts, and much more. Also have the largest selection of hot sauces anywhere!
Best Tarts anywhere! We like visiting the blacksmith too.
We love coming for the yummy butter tarts and ice cream 🍦 💜
I really like the location, small town Ontario...the atmosphere, like stepping back in time...the products they carry, mostly local and very unique.. and the owner and staff, always a good chat with Rob and Louise and Franz if she is there. Great place to stop and visit.
We went there for the Christmas Tractor parade. Ventured into the old mill for some apple cider and was pleasantly surprised at how quaint it was. Worth the stop.
Awesome working piece of Canadian history well worth a visit anytime...
Our little family loves Tyrone Mills.......we go there 4x a year. Our last time of each year is to visit on Christmas Eve( a tradition) to buy some local wildflower honey, some hot cider and a 1/2 dozen doughnuts....Merry Christmas to everyone at the Mill!!
Best apple fritter I have ever had!!!!!
