Review The Woods - Big White

The worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the Vegan Cobb salad and subbed the vegan cheese for cheddar. The server asked how I liked it and told her the truth, it was terrible. She said the manager would come talk to me and he never showed. They didn't take it off the bill (maybe because I ate most of it? I was starving, and I just wanted to get some veggies.) Canned mushrooms, canned chickpeas, mangled Avocado, dirty plate, dreched in water.

My husband and I recently ate at The Woods at Big White for my birthday dinner and wow, we were truly impressed by the amazing food on the new menu. We even ordered a tomato soup, which you would think is a fairly simple dish, and it completely knocked our socks off. Combine that with the friendly service - it was the icing on my birthday cake. We will certainly be going back soon!

I mean what can I say... The food is amazing. The staff are surprisingly good for seasonal staff on a ski hill. The location is perfect. In the summer it's beautiful sitting outside having a beer and some munchies, in winter it's a very welcome, warm location after a day of skiing. I've had many meals here - mostly vegetarian and they've all been very good. Okay. Updating this the following year. I have figured that their menu changes regularly. Some menus are really good, but I have to say today was not. Just check in to see what they have before you go.

Had a great lunch. Enjoyed the updated menu. Had the gnocchi with buttermilk chicken on top. It was tasty and very cheesy. The selection of bc beer on tap was decent. I really like the Ghost ship IPA.

Horrible. No one has a clue whats going on. Ordered our own food and drink. Told it comes to us. After 50 minutes not even getting out waters and pop i walked in and ask for my money back. Go to sam's instead.

There are like 4 mains on the menu one of which they were out of no one who worked there said anything to us for a half hour and servers kept coming out asking who's order was what they had then go back to the kitchen. We didn't even get our water till half hour after ordering.

Great place for food and drinks while skiing. You can sit in the lounge or a very cozy bar, or outside by the fire pit. Great selection of very good food and drinks. Gets quite busy during peak lunch but well worth the wait for few minutes to get a table. Staff is very very nice and friendly. Like to have fun and clearly enjoy their jobs.

After an epic day of riding the bike park we stopped there for dinner. The food was great I ordered the biggest hot dog you've ever seen and it was so delicious. The staff is super friendly and they have a great cocktail list. Highly recommend it you can go up anytime and just grab food and drinks. Super chill Lounge spot we have the best day.
