The bread is to die for. Had a donut and it was amazing. Honestly this place is a MUST if you are visiting Bell Island.
I heard so many good things about the bakery when I got to Bell Island. I was excited to visit and buy some goodies and bread, but was sorely disappointed. The coconut cream pie was covered in whipped cream from a can, the little cakes were made from a mix, and the buns were very light and flavourle
The raisin tea buns are exquisite. Cute, cosy atmosphère at the bakery, where you can also get a coffee and / or a breakfast sandwich and sit and relax for a while. In addition to billowing loaves of white bread, there are also traditional Canadian sweets (bars & cookies & such).
If you aren't a local you wouldn't know to go to the counter to order. We sat at a table as the waitress came in and out a few times without any acknowledgement or hellos etc... we're finally asked a table beside us if we go order at counter. There are also people come in and buy bread etc to go.

Stayed on Bell Island for 3 nights and tried pretty much everything at the bakery...fresh and delicious! My only complaint...we left on Monday and they were closed so I couldn't get more treats to bring back to St. John's with me!! Awesome local spot!!!
Fresh, delicious locally made baked goods at great prices. Added bonus of serving a wonderful breakfast and other specials occasionally with seating to enjoy what you've purchased.
They make pretty good lemon cakes.
Awesome service, great baked goods and prices are fair
