Such a fabulous place to check out. The service and atmosphere are top notch. Our bartender, Chyenne, was absolutely phenomenal. A great conversationalist, excellent drink recommendations and overall a lovely human. Their martini list is definitely worth checking out. I look forward to coming back.

Our team at The Mortgage Station has celebrated many occasions at Michael and Marion’s, specifically our annual Christmas party. We were so excited to celebrate a late holiday dinner with our team now that Covid19 Restrictions are allowing us to dine at our favourite place as a group! Once again, the food was outstanding by all accounts everyone left raving about our gathering. Cris, Kim, Amanda and Marg took special care of our group, making sure our cups were never empty, and our belly’s were full. The service, food and experience at Michael and Marion’s is second to none! Strongly recommend for your private parties, or casual dinners! Thank you Kent for another successful gathering from everyone at The Mortgage Station.

Boyfriend and I had an amazing meal here for a semi fine dining experience the food is so delicious I had the lamb and it was a perfect serving to fill me up. Krista was a very gracious server. Told all my friends to try it out.

Attended for a private affair. A lovely intimate restaurant, simply and tastefully decorated. The staff was great, food and drinks were delicious. All around a great time and definitely a spot I'll book for my own private intimate event.

Fantastic Food and Incredible Service! Had a family gathering at the Side Door for my Mom's 80th birthday. Our server Chris was incredibly wonderful and attentive.

Went here on a Thursday afternoon for a ladies lunch. It was wonderful! I've been wanting to come here for a while now and I was not disappointed! The egg of the day (omelet) and side salad were perfect, and well....let's just say the martinis by colour were to die for! I will definitely be back! Bringing my husband next time and coming for dinner.

Showed up a few Friday evenings without a reservation. Bar was full, tables were full but the owner gave us champagne and made us comfortable while we waited for a spot to open up. Our servers were fantastic, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. It’s so nice to be in a place where service is done right. Food and drinks were delicious too!

I used to love Michael & Marion. Food it was amazing and Ken (the owner) is usually was there to greet you. With the pandemic things have gotten difficult for restaurants and I guess the quality and quantity of the food has decreased. We ordered 1) chicken with bacon and 2) lobster ravioli. Additional we asked for some bread (no picture included) which was just pieces of bread warm up from a supermarket loaf of bread. Not really impressed with the presentation of this bread. I don't think we will be ordering from here any time soon.

We decided to try the side door for a girls brunch this Sunday and couldn't have been more impressed! The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and cool and the food and mimosa's are on point! The banana bread French toast is to die for! We will definitely be back, I need to try the breakfast poutine next time!

Just got home from an exhausting 3 hour dinner at Michael and Marion rest in Barrie. Right off the get go as we enter the owner greets us and proceed to say that he is not ready for us. It was 8pm and we had a reservation for 8pm. He procedes to seat us and sits us at a wobbling table, tells us he will shim it and never returned. Finally after 5 minutes the waitress shows up takes our drink order and fixes the table. No menus yet and no water offered. 10 minutes pass and we get our drinks and menus. 20 minutes later we get our order taken. We get our appetizers within the first hour and all the while no interaction with us from our waitress. One and a half hour after arriving still no main course so we order another half litre of wine. After 2 hours still no main course and the waitress tells us that they are 'Slammed' and apologizes and it will be 5 more minutes. Then she offers our section of the restaurant some prosecco. Really after all the booze we had already with no food the owner tries to bribe us with more booze. Irresponsible and poor service. Finally at 2 hours and half we get our main course, we ate so fast because we were so hungry didn't really enjoy it. Finally bill comes to the table nothing comped, just an apology and a voucher for free entree on the next visit. Waitress went back to the owner telling him our displeasure and offers us a second voucher and free drinks. We declined and walked out. Baffled by the owners response and inability to deal with the situation, non existent customer service all around. Definately be last time dining there.

The more we go to Michael & Marions, the more it is quickly becoming our FAVOURITE downtown place to eat! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, and the food coming out of the kitchen is remarkable! I would recommend making a reservation there for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch 100%!

For our Sunday Brunch we decided to try Michael and Marions. Having ate there for dinner many a time I was hoping that my brunch would be just as amazing. I was not disappointed. My husband had the eggs benny, which he thought were fabulous. My 8 yr old had the two eggs and commented that the eggs were better than Daddy's and that's saying something. (We only eat farm fresh, free range eggs.) having an egg intolerance makes it difficult for me to usually enjoy brunch. I had the Flatbread, and it was amazing. Very filling and tasty. Overall I would recommend Michael and Marion's for any meal, but brunch was definitely something I would return for.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Great staff, great management, amazing food and a perfect atmosphere. We will be back.

I talked with Chef/Owner Kent on the phone. He asked if it was a special occasion and I said it was our 4th Anniversary. As a nice surprise, two glasses of sparkling wine awaited us. At dessert our plate was decorated with a chocolate Happy Anniversary greeting. Food was excellent and the portions large. My blue cheese prime rib steak was delicious but I was envious of Stacey because her lamb shank was melt-in-your-mouth good. The maple creme brulee was a nice twist on the traditional dessert. Our table was cozy and the service was friendly and helpful....what a beautiful evening!

Probably the best service and best food in Barrie...we shall be going back for sure.

We had a large party upstairs. This is the third time I’ve been to this restaurant with more than 15 people, we are never disappointed. The service was excellent, food was fantastic. Everyone had a great time. Thank you!

Had my only experience there, and l loved it. The flavours in the foods burst on our pallets. The atmosphere was relaxing and our server was exceptional, taking time for us to truly enjoy the meal and the whole experience. Thank you for a great remember when.

Another fantastic meal at Michael & Marion's! We were there for a birthday dinner and our table of 7 was accommodated with some unusual requests with ease and grace.
