Review Simmering Kettle - Barrie

My family and I enjoy this place so much. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. Wife: Haddock and fries Kid: Chicken fingers and fries Me: Bento box (Sliders, Chips, Mexican poutine)

Wonderful staff, super friendly and attentive. The food quality is phenomenal and tastes like a tasty home cooked meal. The atmosphere is super homey. I have a gluten intolerance and they were really good at accomodating. A must visit!

My son and I driven 3 hours to drop off a rental in Barrie. Beautiful city! Decided to have lunch but wanted something off the chain and local. Cozy, clean and friendly restaurant. I was told everything was home made. And it really is.. I had a soup and sandwich lunch, sandwich was fully loaded BLT on rye and Italian wedding soup. Both were absolutely amazing. Best Italian wedding soup I ever had! Portions were perfect as well. My son had a kids burger with fries. He inhaled the burger and had half his fries. The cheese on his burger... perfectly gooey. He loved it, he said its better than dad's homemade burger ( ha. Hopefully he doesn't see this) I ended up pulling the parent card and had some of his fries. If I wasn't full from my lunch, I would have finished those fries. So. Good! Highly recommend!

Cozy yet spacious. Brunch of Eggs Bennie was tasty and good portions. Our server was friendly and attentive. Will come back.

Amazingly fresh and hot food within minutes of ordering. The Eggs Benny was on point with the Hollandaise sauce, which is harder to find than you would expect. Waitstaff was super attentive and really wanted me to have a great experience. I saw that with other patrons as well. Wish I had found this gem on the first day of my trip, not the last.

Really delicious food fresh from the stovetop/oven. The homemade jam is divine. The potatoes could have used a bit more seasoning, but otherwise a really delicious brunch!

A hidden gem! I went out for brunch with my mom and we were pleasantly surprised! I ordered off the all day breakfast menu (eggs Benedict) and upgraded my homemade hash browns to a poutine, and my mom ordered the mushroom Swiss burger (also homemade)! Both were delicious! The menu is huge, and a little daunting, with a rather random mixture of items. But the food is delicious, and service is great! We will definitely be back.

I have gone in a few time staff is so friendly, food was good my only problem was got a small bowl of rice and 6 slivers of cucumber for my babies and was charged $6.99 I get you need to make money but to charge that much to me that is crazy. So won't be back.

I think the wait time was a little long . Not for the food after ordering but waiting to have the order taken waiting to pay the bill. But the food was good I will go back.

Great food, good prices wonderful staff. They have two easily accessible locations in Barrie.

My 60th Birthday was at Simmering Kettle. LOVED it. They closed the restaurant early and created a dance floor for us. They served hot appetizers all evening and a full bar was available. Such a good night. The DJ “With Style Music” created a wonderful party atmosphere. We have returned several times for great meals and a couple more parties. Our ‘go to’ spot.

We have been here a number of times (the most recent was last night) and the service is always amazing and the food is delicious! You feel right at home, are always greeted with a smiling and friendly face, given top notch service, and the meal you enjoy is tasty. We will be back!
