My favourite Thai restaurant, every dish is very authentic and it is even run out of the house of a family from Thailand! Great atmosphere and service, we come back every January for my mother and uncles birthday dinner. I always start with spring rolls and split chicken pad Thai and cashew hickey for my main dish, perfect every year!
Amazing. Best Thai I've ever had out of six places. Great portions, beautiful decorations and atmosphere. Most authentic too. 11/10. Not exaggerating. Golden and Emerald curries are both great.
This is by far the best and most authentic Thai restaurant in Barrie. For the most part, recipes have been kept true to Thai cuisine. Having lived in Asia for 7+ years, I consider myself an Asian food snob and always look for authenticity when I eat out. The family who runs this restaurant takes great pride in what they do and it shows. Do try the Mussaman curry. To die for.
Finally a Thai place in Barrie whose Pad Thai doesn't taste like ketchup. Chicken pad thai, basil beef, and golden curry were all excellent. Quick takeout, family run. Bomb.
Fantastic. Amazing spring rolls and green curry and the pad thai was super tasty, too. It was a little chilly in there, they had space heaters running, but it's a converted old victorian-era home, so I suppose it's to be expected. Very authentic and extensive menu
Easily the best That joint in Barrie, I've tried them all in Barrie and this is the best. Plus family runned as well.
Very impressed with the food and service !! Great story from a staff member about a quick rain that happened while we were on patio . Felt great , will return
Sweetest Thai place in town. I've eaten here many many times, and introduced a lot of people as well, who are now returning customers.
Everything on the menu is delicious, even their mango and coconut drinks (homemade).
The atmosphere is lovely, even on the patio, and the service is always polite and helpful.
Great price for perfectly spiced Thai.
Frequent customer. This is on of my favorite restaurants. Best patio view in town. Love the family dynamic and happy attitudes all thestaff have. Spring rolls are amazing, as is the pad thai
Best THAI EVER!. I LOVE the food here. Its the best thai I have ever had, I moved here from toronto and thai was one of my most frequent meals. I thought I liked thai before I ate here. Now I cant eat it anywhere else. Just no point its SO delicious other places dont compare. Try the vegetable curry its my favourite.
Best Thai in Barrie!. This place never ceases to amaze us! The food is the best Thai I've found in the area. The restaurant, both inside and out, is a pleasure to visit. The staff is about as friendly as you can find.
If you have never had Thai food, start here!
One of my favorites. Consistently great food with consistently great service. What more could you really ask for? Decor? Tasteful, and the fact that the restaurant is really just a renovated house gives it that home-y ambiance while still retaining a restaurant feel.
Went there for the first time this weekend and loved it. Will be going back
Excellent Thai Cuisine. Best Thai food in Barrie!
Great, warm, comfortable atmosphere in a renovated old home. Family owned and run.
Fabulous outdoor patio in the summer with a view of Kempenfelt Bay.
Walking distance from all the stores and local activities of Mainstreet Barrie.
Very autistic Thai food restaurant with delicious quality food. Though the prices are a bit high for lower servings, the food quality was very impressive. And not to mention, the atmosphere and staff were very kind and helpful. Next time I go to Barrie, I will definitely consider coming to this restaurant again. I’m you’re coming here, 2 things I recommend buying are the Golden Chicken Curry, or their Pad Thai. You will definitely enjoy it.
The best restaurant in Barrie. My favourite restaurant! I've been coming here for at least 15 years. Amazing dine-in atmosphere and the friendliest staff. Whoever is cooking this stuff up is amazing. I have not had a bad dish but my personal recommendations are the Golden Chicken Curry (no chicken since the potato is to die for - trust me), Thai Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, and last but not least the incomparable Tofu Cashew Nuts.
We've been going here for years and never disappointed. The food is excellent and just the right amount in my opinion unless you have a large appetite then this lovely delicate food is not meant for you. The view was spectacular but with the new Condo being built that wiil be gone although the food and the people who work there are far nicer than any view. I especially like the ghosts! The place has been haunted for years and if you pay attention you will see or hear one. They're not unfriendly they just want to hang out. If you look at the top floor window you may catch a glimpse of a shadow walking by when no one is there. That in my opinion is worth the the visit on its own! Support our local restaurants and their owners and spirits!
Glass chicken noodles, sweet basil beef and chicken with mixed vegetables are delicious. But you absolutely need to try lemon prawn soup! It is appetizer size though. Will definitely come back. The fact that they have own parking is definitely a plus!
Finally found our Thai restaurant of choice in Barrie. Great service and wonderful food. The dishes are delicately created with a real mastery of flavours. The curries are subtle, creamy and very balanced. The pad Thai is deceptive in its presentation but packs a punch of the right flavour you expect from an authentic dish. If you are more discerning with your food choices and value flavour over volume, you will not be disappointed. Very fresh food and expertly prepared.
A friend recommended this establishment & I've been wanting to go for some time. I wasn't disappointed. Food cost was a bit more, but the quality of food I found was delicious. Great variety and super helpful staff that recommended some amazing choices for dinner. I can't wait to go back...
Super authentic Thai food. The appetizer platter had a bit of everything, and the data skewer was a tender and post chicken breast that was well marinated. The sweet chili sauce is made in house and was so good, I had to buy a container to take home. We gobbled up the Bamboo squid, before we remembered to take a picture. The squid was tender and intricately waffle cut, with just a hint of umami fishiness. It paired so well with the coconut rice.
To finish it off, the mango sticky rice was so good, with the glutinous rice cooked to a soft stickiness. All dishes were served on Thai tableware, adding onto the authentic experience.
It was such a treat to find a great Thai restaurant during covid. Extra bonus: We got to sit in the teak pavilion, and Dave took a great picture of us.
Loved the food! Service was great, too. And we learnt to use spoon instead of chopsticks since that is how the Thai eat.
I highly recommend this place.
