Great pho. Super flavourful and even as takeout we absolutely enjoyed it. We got an extra large to share - if you do this ask for two limes (which is the only thing they skimped out on a bit). Other than that perfect portion and a great spot.

This was not authentic Tom yum soup, Tom yum soup does not have cabbage and carrots. Missing the tomatoes, mushrooms, lemongrass and cilantro. Tom yum soup is supposed to be spicy and it was not spicy at all. They must have gotten the recipe wrong because last time I checked boy choy belongs in stir fry not my Tom yum soup. I will never come back here. Waste of $15. Thai express makes better Tom yum than this place.

I'm not an expert in Pho, but I have enjoyed two visits to this place. The service was very very attentive. Everything tastes fresh. Had one of the Pho lunch specials last time - the broth was delicious and satisfying. I will certainly be back.

This place is a gem. VERY tasty, authentic pho. Quiet, warm atmosphere. Service is great and the staff are very friendly. Officially addicted and will be back many, many, mannnyyy times. If you are looking for a nice BIG bowl of pho, look no further.

The red curry was definitely more cornstarch than coconut milk - super gooey and then liquified after it cooled... I don’t think there was even a full table spoon of coconut milk in this curry...
The lemon grass chicken was OK
The beef satay was probably the worst of them all. Was super gooey when received and after a while the salt cut the thickener and it just liquified
I’ve been to restaurants in Toronto and have set an expectation for Thai/Vietnamese food and this does not come close...

The pho broth was too sweet..........why?
I never had such an experience like this to tried the sweet pho broth. Moreover, tendon and tripe were tasted foul 😑. Besides, there were not any fresh Thai chillies; my basil were also wilted.

I LOVE this restaurant and I eat there often. As thought the amazingly flavourful and affordable dishes weren't enough, the people who work there always have very warm and genuine smiles ready to share, too. That just tops it off. Try the Tom Yum soup if you like a bit of spiciness. Delicious! :)

This is by far the best PHO restaurant I've eaten at in Barrie, and for that matter, in all of Ontario. We have been here 10 times or more and every time it is absolutely delicious. The Pho is fresh, extremely tasty, and the portions more than generous. Value absolutely cannot be beat. The rest of the menu is just so-so, but the Pho alone is worth a 5. Go for the Pho!

Pros: Good food, decent price, clean and comfortable atmosphere<br/>Cons: Staff lacks attentiveness (too busy chatting or texting) and don't properly read your order<br/><br/>I dislike giving any negative reviews but perhaps this will help improve their status quo.<br/><br/>I was looking forward to a special noodle bowl with 'quail eggs' written in the menu. To my surprise and disappointment, that particular ingredient was missing. What's worse is that it's one of the more pricier items on their menu. (They should specify if an ingredient is 'seasonal' or 'conditional' and not exclude it from the order hoping the customer doesn't notice!)

As a former Torontonian and now a Barrie Resident. This is the best pho restaurant in Barrie. Could use a couple improvements but this is the only place I'll eat for pho.

Great Food Every Time!. This is a small, very clean restaurant in an uneventful strip mall in Barrie. We often order over the phone and pick up which can be a bit of a challenge because the staff are typically challenged with English - so memorize your favourite dish numbers - my wife's fav is R5 :) The food is ALWAYS GREAT! We order from there about 2 - 3 times a month and have never been disappointed. Good food every time.

INCREDIBLE.. I've been to many pho restaurants, and this by FAR tops every single one, in fact, it ruined me. I cannot go anywhere else, it is THAT good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Amazing ! Excellent service ! Excellent food my picky twin toddlers even had the pho and ate it ! The owner came around the counter to help me with my screaming son who did not believe me the ice cream was next door, he told him they didn't have ice cream and it was next door :)

Was very good, but disappointed with the calamari. Not with taste but with portion size, 10$ for less than 10 pieces.. Won't be ordering that dish again.. Otherwise great!

Best Thai in Barrie. I love this place!! I have had good thai food in toronto and this is very comparable! The pad thai is amazing and huge delicious spring rolls with homemade sauce mmm! Only con is I wish they delivered!

Best Pho I have had in Barrie.. I love Pho and the Pho at Pho Mekong Barrie ranks up there among the best I have eaten. The broth is excellent intermixed with noodles, and meats. The soup is always presented with a plate full of fresh bean sprouts, lime, and Thai Basil. The lunch special is a nice treat and an excellent value as it comes with some delicious deep fried wongtons, a rice roll filled will fresh ingredients, and a tasty peanut dipping sauce. Also don't skip the orange and white garnish as it is a tasty pickled vegetable medley that rounds out the dish. This is one of the few restaurants that I feel compelled to visit on a weekly basis. I hope others will enjoy it too.

Great Service, Delicious Food. ...we finally tried Pho Mekong tonight as a family. Service was fast, friendly and very accommodating of our three young children. The food was hot, fresh and flavourful. Best pad thai I've ever had; great flavour/heat and a generous portion. We'll definitely be back. If you like the food at green mango, but would prefer some place quieter, give Pho Mekong a try.

Great New Restaurant. I checked out this new place the other day, it is really nice and clean inside and picked up their takeout menu. Went back tonight and tried the Beef Pad Thai, I asked for it very spicy. It was delicious, could have been a tad more spicy for me but it was very delicious and it had a nice zing to it. I definitely see this becoming my favourite neighborhood takout place.

Great food. We wanted to try a different place other than Royal Thai for take out. The food is really tasty, the portions are awesome and we loved that the dishes we ordered came with alot of vegetables and meat (unlike the dishes at Royal thai). The prices are great as well. The only negative thing I would say is that we ordered shrimp chips and when we got home, we counted them and there were only 8 in the container and no peanut dip. We were disappointed as we are used to the portion size that we get at Royal Thai. We definitely won't order this item again on the menu but will definitely try other dishes.

Double Check Your Order. I LOVE the food. We have had take-out a four times and the quality and taste is perfect. My only complaint is that there is normally an issue with the order and something isn't correct. For example one time we ordered soup, and they didn't send the broth! Another time a dish was ordered without onions and we received it with both green and white onions. It's a bit frustrating. I will continue to get take-out, just check the bags before we leave.

Delicious!. Restaurant is nice, new and clean. The prices are reasonable and the portions are a good size. I had the chicken pad thai (takeout) and it is really quite good. I look forward to returning and trying something else!

Food was really good. Pho was good, the broth (the most important component of this dish) was rich and flavourful. Spring rolls were apparently good, my boy ate them up before I had a chance to try! He said the were good! Looking forward to a return trip to try some more items on the menu.
