Review Casa Mia Restaurant - Barrie

Delicious and fresh Greek and Italian food... came here for the first time after skiing and enjoyed warm friendly service and great food - garlic shrimps, garlic bread, souvlaki dinner and Halibut dinner with extra veggies on the side for 2 adults and a 4 yr old! Had the house italian soda and 2 lattes - very satisfied and food was nicely cooked with natural flavors (not overly salty). Hit the spot and will be back again next time we are in the Barrie area, when indoor dining is back. Also love the traditional and homey feel of the decor!

Food was decent. I really enjoyed my rack of lamb. No real mint sauce, just the jelly type which was slightly disappointing but not a deal breaker. Overall the food was a solid 3.5 stars. The service was less desirable. Not very friendly and quite dismissive. We came to celebrate a family members 72nd birthday with the family. We told the waitress that it was a birthday while the birthday boy was in the washroom to see if they could do something small like most restaurants do and were told that sure you can order something from the dessert menu. This was very surprising and a first for me. Service a solid 2 stars mainly for that reason but also just meh in general. Had the service matched the food then maybe it would warrant a 4 star review. Just a shame as the waitress was not very pleasant at all. She didn't even wish him a happy birthday.

So glad we decided to try Casa Mia! Walked in, the decor and dimly lit restaurant felt like a date night with my partner. Each dish tasted amazing, well balanced sauces, quality food with fair portions for the price. Our server was pleasant and efficient. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, good portions,reasonably priced, friendly service

I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but yesterday I went for a take out chicken souvlaki at lunch time and the chicken was raw. I didn't have time to return it to the restaurant because I had to go back to work. I used to go there because the food was good but I think this is unacceptable and I could get sick because of that.

Best Prime Rib ever. Went for dinner last night unfortunately we didn't have a reservation and the wait time was 2 hours. We decided to do take out instead (only 20 min wait). We both had the Prime Rib special - absolutely delicious, the best ever. Would highly recommend for eating in or taking out.

I go for lunch here every other week and the prices are great, the food is amazing, and staff are so kind and down to earth! I highly recommend!

We made a reservation and went on a Saturday evening. The service, stuffed cannelloni and veal parmagiana were the best we have had. The biggest challenge will be working our way through the menu items. Incredible.

My late mothers day dinner was fantastic! The veal was to die for and the service was excellent. I have been going here for years and it never disappoints

Food here was amazing, restaurant is quite classy. Jillian was an excellent server and had taken care of everything on time. Service was remarkable. I would recommend anyone to come down here and have a quality time.

Went for the first time tonight to casa mia. Nice atmosphere, great food and our server Nicole P was awesome. Definitely returning soon. I recommend it for sure.

The atmosphere and staff are always warm and inviting, the food is simply exquisite. A great place to go for either a business luncheon with clients or dinner out with your spouse, family and friends ... OPA !!!

This Greek-Italian restaurant has a very ample and comfortable setting, friendly Greek music plays through the loudspeakers but it is not too loud to have a comfortable conversation. The portions are very generous, and the service was excellent! Bernie was all the time attentive, and asking us about the meals, and providing excellent service at all times.This was the highlight of the visit, and definitely the reason to come back!

Dinner was amazing! Salmon with bruschetta topping was cooked perfectly. Appetizers were spot on - calamari, shrimp, mussels and pita bread. Carrie was an acceptional hostess with knowledge on all menu items. Love love love Casa Mia!!

Casa mia has the best potatoes and pasta I've ever had. Penne blush is just amazing and all of the waitresses are extremely nice, not to mention I've met both the amazing owner Peter and all the kitchen staff! Best restaurant in barrie by far!!!

Had my baby shower there today. The food was AMAZING and the staff were all unbelievably nice. I even got to go in the kitchen and all I can say is WOW! So clean!!!! A lovely restaurant with excellent food and great service. Every one of my guests raved about the food

Showed up to the restaurant at 9 oclock. I commented to the hostess that it wasnt very busy as we had been here many times and it is usually busier. Her answer was and i quote " like most people are gone cause we close at 945 dropped the menus and walked away. Tben we waited for a while for the waitress to come to the table and ask us if we want a drink. The whole time the staff is cleaning and working in the front to prepare for closing looking at us like we were not supposed to be there. We had our drink and left we will never come back. A high end restauranr should; A. never clean while customers are i the restauraunt. B. Have staff that keeps there personal feelings to them selves and dosn't make customers uncomfortable because they want to go home. C. Make every customer feel welcome untill the minute they close. I would also like to say that a souvlaki meal should not have extra charges for a greek salad (in the fine print of the menu) ITS A GREEK RESTAURANT
