We love this small quant coffee shop in Banff! Situated away from the busy streets of downtown Banff, Buffalo Mountain Cafe has that quiet and peaceful cabin vibes that you will never see in other shops within the city. The young crew were jolly and happy to serve their customers. They have prepared sandwiches, pastries, snacks, teas, espresso and coffees. We ordered cafe latte, croissant and ham n cheese sandwich. Everything tasted good and their latte was perfect for the snowy weather outside. Parking was a bit tough, especially on weekends because of the hotel lodge customers. But I suggest you go there early morning, or you can drop by too after a long hike in Tunnel Mountain!
Our room was comfortable and had a log fire. Sadly it smoked us out. Not sure if it was us or the fire at fault đ
. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast there a couple of times and there was a good choice and decent portions.
Given it a 4 as getting into downtown Banff meant catching a bus or a 25 minute walk. It just meant that we chose to stay in rather than go out in the evening because it was an effort. However, it is situated in a lovely location so I would say just be aware that you are further away from all the local amenities in Banff.
Nice cozy place - quite location very relaxed. Friendly staff with attentive service. Good coffee and a number of prepared snacks to choose from plus some more substantial meals in the fridge you can take away

My wife and I were there for dinner celebrating our 15th anniversary! The reservation process was easy and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Our server, Sarah, was wonderful. Attentive and talkative and yet still allowed us to enjoy the evening. While they are renovated the main dining room, the restaurant has moved to the âconventionâ side. That changed nothing for us. The food and drinks were amazing. We drank Park Caesars and Wildlife Mules. Delicious and made with local craft liquor. We started with the charcuterie board. It was so good. Then our entrees arrived. My wife had the bison burger with homemade tomato soup. I had the chicken flatbread sandwich. All were delicious. And to top it off, when the staff realized it was our anniversary, the chef offered us dessert on the house. So we enjoyed apple pie a la mode. Our experience overall was superb. If youâre looking for a special place to spend hard earned money, you will not be disappointed or dissatisfied with Buffalo Mountain Lodge. Thank you to all who served us.
Amazing place to stay, close to everything! Rooms are nicely appointed. Wonderful staff. Highly recommend having your meals at the lodge.

Relaxed and quiet spot for coffee with free refills on drip coffee. Had a brie grilled cheese and two deer walked by while we were chilling. Dog friendly spot.
