Fun! You will have so much fun! Great place to go out with friends. They have amazing live music! It's right in the heart of downtown and the crowd is always ready to party.
The place is nice overall. They have live events going on every now and then. We just went out for some drinks and food. We ordered chicken wings which were fine. The crispy chicken burger I order was nice overall with the hot sauce dripping from it. But the only thing wrong with it was that the coat of the crispy chicken was a bit burnt-bitter to taste. Rest, the service was great even thought the place is busy. 3.9/5.
Really good fish n chips! The batter was thin, flavourful, and crispy. The fish was supple, moist and flakey. It probably one of the few places that do a good fish n chips! Damn I want some now
The place you end up at the end of the night. Drinks are not the greatest. What a bunch of strange people in one place. A lot of older people. Live music is usually awesome!

Try the artichoke dip! Probably the best I had. Nachos were great as well. Service was excellent. Always a good time here!

An Elk stew to die for. I had the Elk stew and it was a piece of heaven on earth. The service was good and it had an excellent selection of beers. I will be going back!
We loved this place! Great food and service after a long day on the slopes! We had a great waitress that never let our drinks get low! Spinach dip was great and the bison burger was great size and taste! Will defiantly go back next time:)
Great casual patio. We went after a day of hiking and it was perfect for a casual atmosphere- especially their roof top patio. service was good, meal was average, but prices were perfect for the food you got. well definatly go back to their exceptional patio view.
I love the live music and the atmosphere of the Rose in Calgary, so while on a weekend trip to Banff, a friend and I stopped in here. No other bar in Banff (we went to a handful of others) compared to the level of service, personalized attention and way so many staff went out of their way to make our stay so fun. I am definitely going back to visit this awesome pub. Grilled cheese with fries, gravy and fresh veggies and dip were awesome too.

Always a great burger. I frequent the R&C, typically for cocktails and late nights. I have in the past had a delisious burger from the R&C but in Calgary. With that in mind I decided to try out the Banff R&C yesterday for lunch with my mom, brother, and partner. It was delicious, and very cost effective.
My brother and I each tried a burger; the cascade for him and the madderhorn for me. They were juicy, fresh, and just exquisite. My mom had the Steak and Frites which she loved - perfectly cooked pieces of steak and fantastick homemade shoestring fries, and my partner had the 3 cheese grilled cheese; the grilled cheese sandwich itself wasn't amazing, it was tasty and cheesy but not supperb what the best thing about that meal was the sweet potato fries and the HOMEMADE ketchup... Unreal!
All the sides are homemade and they allow you to choose two out of the 7 or 8 sides available.
All this paired with speedy, efficient, and super friendly service made my day.
It's a total pub, but the menu isn't typical, there's something for everyone, and they always have really great live music weekly.
I've made this one of my faves in Banff.
Banff's best!!! New menu is incredible, live music every night, and some of the best staff you'll ever meet. A must see if you're in Banff.
Great fun. Beef dip was amazing although it was after I'd sampled all the diferent ales on offer and the live bands afterwards were great too
