Best view in area. Tasty food. Big portions. Fair price. Excellent service. Definitely recommend this place for unforgettable experience.
Great afternoon. The ride up to the Bistro is great. Beautiful views. Once up top you can sit on the trails edge and marvel at Banff from above. Having lunch, a snack or just a drink at the Bistro is an experience. Prices are decent for the location and service and food were great. Would recommend. Brought up a small treat to have at the top from @KakebyDarci. Really the cherry on top... of the mountain.
Surprisingly you get to this place from the parking lot through the gondola! We only realised this upon reaching there however it only added adventure to our lunch stopover as we crossed the area to get to Kelowna from Lake Louis. Spectacular views atop. Good food( we had eggs) , polite servers. Toilets available. Keep in mind the flight of steps to get to the restaurant. Good place to take pics. Too
Awesome staff, customer service and of course the view! I tried cocktails and coffee here it was amazing! Surprisingly there was a wildlife, two beautiful deer♥️
Great for friends & family visits in Summer.. and off course lunch dates with Wifey.
Be sure to show local (Banff or Shelbyville) ID when getting your lift ticket.
Food from chef and service from Manger? Chris? was excellent. A breath of fresh air from a sometimes hit or miss Banff serving industry staff 🤷♂️
Cheers!
Beautiful view, friendly staff members. I do 4 stars rather than 5, because of the less variety of food, the burger was delicious though.
Lovely views of Banff, Cascade Mountain and Rundle on a clear day. The food was pretty good, I was expecting nothing special, but our nachos had lots of gooey cheese, bacon, beef and were a big surprise! Prices were reasonable considering you’re at the top of a mountain, which is already a significant way up the valley.
Not a ton of window seats (3-4 groups total can sit facing the view) but it’s cozy, warm and altogether we spent about 40 minutes here. We went after Via Ferrata. I’m not sure if we would make the trip just for the experience again but if you’re pondering it, just do it!
We came up for lunch before our Via Ferrata trip. It started hailing on the chairlift as we were going up! Luckily they had given us blankets so we could cover ourselves as the hail was stinging.
We had a lovely quick lunch. I wish I could remember our waitress' name because she was lovely. I believe she was from Australia. We ordered the nachos and pretzels and that proved to be plenty of food for our family of 5! The nachos were huge and used homemade chips.
There is a beautiful view from the restaurant and we were lucky enough to sit by the window and soak it all in. Since my daughter wasn't climbing with us she told her she could hang out at the table and wait for us.
