This is one of my favourite restaurant in Banff and I will definitely visit again!
Such an awesome Indian restaurant with great food, great service, great views.......The best butter chicken ever
Great place for an amazing Indian meal. It's on the first floor, so one will need to climb stairs to get to the entrance. However, there is a possible entrance from the Bear Street Parking lot which has an elevator but it will require a little more walk. It will land you to the rear part of the restaurant though.
We went for Vegetable Korma with Roti, Butter Naan, and a Masala Dosa. Almost everything was great. Korma was delicious - the right amount of spice and great taste. Naan was quite soft. Masala Dosa was very salty - the Dosa part actually.
The staff and the service were good. The food arrived fairly quickly. The west end of the restaurant has a great view of the street.
Overall, it was a good experience. We exited from the back of the restaurant because it had an elevator (we had a senior with us) and our car was parked in the Bear Street Parking lot.
Very good Indian food out of nowhere! Went there twice this ski season and loved their spicy chettinad curry & Korma and they serve some of the best naans ever! Very soft and tasty! Their staff was so friendly and attentive; service was quick too!
The food was just amazing in this little town out of nowhere. Each dish was a wonderful adventure. Lamb, chicken and biriyani were all cooked to perfection by someone who must love food. Fish Pakora appetizer was my favorite, served with a yummy dip. Thanks to the great staff for a warm and pleasant evening. Service was extremely fast for such a busy restaurant! It was packed and we got our table very quickly.
Being an Indian, I’ve been to this place several times. The food here is average. This place can do a lot better in terms of the menu, the service and the food. If it comes to Indian food, it’s supposed to be spicy even though it’s in any part of the world. I think this place misses some spice in the food. The chicken biryani here has fried onions in the top which makes the rice crispy after mixing which I think is fantastic. I think they serve the best biryani in the 40 mile radius. Overall, nice place - 3.9/5.
We had best meal here and highly recommended for food lovers!! This place is really good and will return again! Banff is very beautiful place
We visited here as it was recommended highly by our hotel front desk staff and it ended up to be the best of our trip in Banff. We told our next room guest to try this place but they also visited this place and enjoyed.
Very nice place to visit! we all visited as a big family of 8 and there were lot of other tables when we arrived. Seems like very busy place and nice food.
During our stay in Banff we'd hit a few of our usual stops, but wanted to try a place we hadn't before.
Having a quick lunch at Boston Pizza, we noticed Indian Curry House in the space next door, and grabbed a take-out menu.
When dinner time arrived we ordered a couple butter chicken (a pretty safe pick for our family), a tikka masala, a couple coconut rice and one each of the garlic and butter naan breads.
Because the kids and my father would be eating the butter chicken we went with the mild spice (none of them have developed a taste for spicy food yet, or in the case of my dad ever). The tikka masala was for myself so I stepped it up to medium (as much as I like spicy food I know from past experience I don't have the built up tolerance as those who've grown up with these spices).
Good picks all around, although even at mild my kids found the butter chicken a bit hot, cooled it with a little cream, but my dad cleaned his plate. The chicken tikka masala was perfect for me, rich flavours and pleasant but firm heat.
The naan bread was soft with a bit of smokiness (our home supermarket has nothing to touch it) and a perfect accompaniment to the sauces of the food.
We also liked that the coconut rice wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, and sticky like you find sometimes.
The portions were enough to feed 4 adults and 2 kids with a bit leftover.
In all, we're happy and will likely be back our next trip to Banff.
This is by far the best briyani I have had in BC and Alberta. I even smelled authentic chicken chettinad right when I walked in. As a briyani fanatic I had to try briyani and switched over to hand from knife and fork, soon after I started eating. That's the respect I give to Indian food of such amazing taste.

Good Service ...
Will definitely Visit again..
Must try South Indian Food
Butter chicken Dosa was awesome
Centrally located in the town. Hygienic and tasty food and courteous staff. Menu has quite a few options to offer.
Only thing is there are around 15 stairs to climb to reach the restaurant….no lift
Had two generous sized suppers here which fed me 4 nights! Comfort meals and packed with oil and calories to keep you going in the mountains. Staff are very nice and service was prompt. Clean place with a cozy feel, overall great attitude. Take out is a breeze, got some samosas and pekoras as travel-day food since they need no refrigeration.
Loved the food, the best briyani we have had in Banff, definitely recommended 👍 the server was great, he recommended south Indian items and they were all delicious.
Although I’ve been here only twice but best curry I’ve ever had!
On my first time, I ordered butter chicken and spicy lamb curry(not sure the name:( sorry!). and It was awsome😋 Serving was little slow but not too bad. and the second experience was better than before! cus server took care of us and help us so much👍🏻 for sure, I’ll come back this place :P
A family-owned restaurant serving tasty Indian food in Banff. We tried Aloo parantha, Mysore Masala dosa and Tomato soup & everything was fresh and great!
