Fantastic tapas.
Only dish that wasn't as amazing as everything else was the calamari.
And the dessert was top shelf, freshly baked chocolate cake (as in don't touch the bowl, it just came out of the oven)
Had a great time here for dinner. Very friendly staff and quick service in a nice atmosphere with simply amazing food. Would definitely recommend their braised lamb shoulder 🤩
Went in for dinner on Mexican night we each got fajitas (beef and chicken) which were very tasty and filling. We had to add a few extra tortillas and salsa. My toddler had the warm salad which was delicious grilled veggies and goat cheese and we finished off with chocolate cake. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived and not the best ambiance we originally thought it had prior to arriving.
We also ordered breakfast burritos another morning which were also great and I’m not a breakfast burrito fan. Tried to use the 20% off coupon we received at dinner but although the coupon shows the breakfast menu it is only for dinner…
My friend and I stopped in for an early breakfast before going fishing. The server we had was great. The restaurant was empty. We arrived when they opened. The food was clean and the prices were very reasonable. It is a clean restaurant right on Banff Avenue so it's easy to find. They have a locals special breakfast for people who live in the area. It's what I will be having next time. I would happily eat at El Torro again.
Had the scallops, fisherman’s soup, ceviche and beef fajitas. So good. The food made us happy. Shannon the server was great. We’re already changing dinner plans so we can go again! Good prices too.
We had the fish tacos and chicken enchiladas. Food was quite good, not amazing. Portion sizes were good for the price compared to most restaurants in Banff. Service was great.
P.S. We got cheese for the tacos and it was an extra $4 charge.
