Review Chuck's Steakhouse - Banff

Had a lovely meal here. The steak was great, no complaints. We tried the Taste of Alberta which gave a variety of 3 cuts, which was nice to try a few options. The service and the interior decor was great as well. The only negative might be a design accessibility issue, as there is a large staircase to get into the restaurant as it is on the second floor.

An extremely inviting atmosphere, exceptional friendly service, and exquisite food. The 45 day strip loin literally melts like creamy butter in your mouth. I have never encountered such a good steak anywhere else. Thanks so much. Don’t faint when you see the price. As my son said it is all about the experience! What an experience it was. Well worth the price of admission. Loved every bite.

An upscale steakhouse that is in the heart of Banff, which has definitely served me some of the best steak I’ve ever had. It has large windows that keep you in a good mood due to both the natural light, as well as a nice view no matter where you’re seated at. The decor felt modern, and the leather menus were also a nice touch. The nitpicks I have is that the asparagus side was a bit lacking in terms of quantity. Additionally we originally wanted the popular “Taste of Alberta” menu item, which had samplers of three different steaks with sides included, however we were told it just ran out since they needed more time to prepare those particular cuts. Yet the backup option suggested by our waiter still ended up being great!

Food and drinks here are amazing. We came back 2 nights later to eat here again. The steaks are wonderful and the ceaser salad is made table side and is the Best I have ever had. Our server Steve made the most amazing Cesar salad!

After a long drive to and back from Abraham Lake, this place definitely fills you up! Food quality is good and service is friendly and personal. They forgot to ask how our steaks are done and after we asked for it they mixed up our asks. But it doesn't stop us loving the food!

Great place for dinner in Banff. We had the fillet and a French onion soup, which was served with actual marrow on the side with croutes. The soup had a nice beef flavour. The mashed potatoes had cheese curds in them which I loved! The staff is friendly as well. For dinner you’re best to make a reservation in advance. We walked in and were only able to get an early dinner seating.

Visited this restaurant during our small vacation in Banff. Wanted to try Alberta beef since it's talked all over and significantly better than what we have in Toronto. Delicious food, great service and great rooftop as well. Make a reservation in advance ($20 deposit online needed)

Recommended by a friend as ‘best ribs’ they’ve ever had in their life. I can confirm, they were indeed, the best ribs I’ve ever had. Incredible service from Cam, the waiter, who was more than happy to share knowledge of his favourite spots in Vancouver. Really relaxed but smart vibe in the restaurant. Best meal out in Banff.

This meal was in my top 5 of all time! Atmosphere, decor, views and service were spectacular! We had the waygu beef and shrimp dumplings for a starter- they were good but the sauce made them great! Our steaks were cooked absolutely perfectly- great flavor - no need for steak sauce! Sides included the asparagus, large stalks but still tender- nothing really special though. However- the corn brûlée was to die for and the main cheese croquettes were scrumptious plus provided that bit of starchy carbs and some crunch. For dessert we did the coconut pana cotta. While not my cup of tea, it was light and refreshing after a heavy meal and the presentation was nice. I can’t wait to go back to Chucks when we are in town again!

This is a must visit place, to any steak lover. Definately one of my top 3 places to go. the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was absolutely Fantastic. It can be a litte expensive for a first timer hiwever i highly recommend going with friends and sharing a meal. its well worth it. Make sure you book in advance. reservations are highly recommended.

Well, how do you start a review for Chucks Steakhouse?! We've visited Banff on vacation for the past few years and we are big foodies. We love nothing more than great food and service. Chucks Steakhouse delivers this beyond any expectations. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel so welcome and are treated like you've visited many times before. The service is just outstanding, Matt was so friendly and his knowledge on the food and wines were just commendable and that also goes of course, for Steve the General Manager whonis extrexely polite and welcoming. Now to the food, in one word...Wow!! We ended up dining here numerous times on our vacation, because it was so exceptional. Not only because we love great food and service, but also it's great value for money for surperb quality. The menu is so varied, and for any steak lover - just awesome! The sides are delious and generous in size and great value. OMG..totally recommend the Wagyu Dumplings as an appy. The whole menu is just amazing! If we could, we would of eaten our way through the entire menu. Overall, we would totally recomment Chucks Steakhouse to ANYONE!! Great place. Great people. Relaxed atmosphere. But a little fancy....just as we like it!!

Hubby and I went in for the 3 course, $35 early bird special. While you would think that smaller portions would leave us feeling hungry it was just the opposite and the food was delicious. We both had the prime rib and would definitely recommend. Great first visit and we will be back! Compliments to the chef and excellent wait staff!

Everything about our evening at Chucks was amazing. The food was unbelievable. Our server Matt made our experience even better. He really knew how to give us space but also be there to guide us on the food and drinks menu. We really enjoyed our evening at Chucks , would go back anytime !

Awesome atmosphere, love the decor, waiter/waitress very nice, fast, friendly service. Honestly best steak I have eaten, the mushrooms were so fresh, and the mash was the tastiest I have ever eaten. 5 stars all the way! Will definitely be returning

Absolutely amazing food, staff and view! Every dish we had was out of this world .unbelievable flavours all mixed together to make a magical meal! Can't wait to go back! Don't miss out on the pleasure of eating atChucks!

Everything was perfect from the atmosphere the server and the food. We had a 3 course dinner for $40 each and it was well worth it.

Absolutely wonderful and delicious! We had the grilled corn and prawns to start. Followed by the grass fed tenderloin and rib eye with a loaded baked potato and mushrooms as our sides. We then had the mud pie bomb for dessert. Astounding, friendly service from Mark and the other servers. We couldn't have asked for a better date night on our honeymoon!

This is the third time I’ve eaten at Chucks and I was so disappointed. The quality has really gone down hill. I was a big fan defending the food and service when other locals complained they had a bad experience. Now I’m on that side of the fence. Food was cold. The cheesecake was pathetic. Shame.

Supper was delish, we had grass fed tenderloin with fries, mushrooms and beets. Can absolutely be recommended. Our waiter Matt was amazing. First class service for sure ��

We had a wonderful experience at Chuck's Steakhouse during our vacation in Banff. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and I'll definitely be going back.

Four of us were visiting from England recommended to eat here, lovely experience Matt looked after us, talked us through all of the steak options with knowledge and passion. The food did not disappoint and service was excellent.

We had their in-house dry aged steak special last night and it was just the most fulfilling food experience I have ever had. The staffs are equally amazing and extremely knowledgeable on what they're serving. Steak rice was super yummy and perfect partner to the steak. Have not had enough of it so going back there tomorrow night before we leave town.👌🏼
