Food was absolutely amazing. Our server was extremely friendly and sweet. Deducted one star for very slow service at beginning that was eventually fixed up. A wonderful place right by the lake. We got here by 4:45 pm on Saturday without reservations but were lucky to get a table before the crowd set in. Four of us had worst experience at the Lakeside restaurant. All servers ignored us for at least 10 mins. Restaurant wasn't busy and people came after us are all seated and ordered. Tried to order take out, everyone except the seater ignored me. I had people come in after I did, they were seated and had gotten their order placed. Place wasn’t very busy but staffed over looked me, thinking due to my race; Baddeck is known to be racist.

So far this season I have ate here at least once per week. I have tried most of the menu, and there are no bad choices. Top picks: potato salad, oysters, lobster, fried chicken, burgers, chocolate cake.
