Reviews South St. Burger

Great choice of toppings and great fries. I'd rather pay a bit extra for the quality and by the way, McDonald's also provides choice of toppings but they don't bother to confirm what exactly you want and their "meat" tastes way different than other beef I've had.

A great burger.. I have often thought about trying South St Burger Co., but with 2 kids (2.5 and 10 months), I have always opted for the more convenient "drive-thru" burger option. As a member of bzzagent I was sent coupons to go and try South St Burger Co. so that was my incentive to get myself and the 2 kids out of the car and into the restaurant.
The first thing I looked for were high chairs and I am happy to say, there were plenty- and lots of space around the tables too.
I ordered a large burger combo with onion rings (fresh red onions dipped in a signature batter) and a small burger combo with "New York Fries". We waited a couple of minutes for our burgers to be flame grilled, they start with a fresh, not frozen, patty- but I didn't even notice the wait because I was busy checking out the 25 choices I had to choose from for my toppings.
So, let me just say, the burger was worth getting out of the car for! It was grilled perfectly the bun was fresh and delicious and even though I selected tomatoes,ketchup, mustard, pickles and lettuce the toppings were fresh and added to the "burger experience". I haven't even talked about the onion rings yet, they were the real surprise... you see I did expect to get a great burger, but I now have a new favorite place for onion rings as well. They were the perfect crispiness on the outside and they tasted great even without dipping them. As for the New York Fries, they are always a treat and I had to "help" my son eat his (:
So, was it enough to get me out of the car again? Yes, as a matter of fact it was, and will be again!
