Review La Sani Grill - Ajax

Hmmm, as much as I wanted to really like this place, I found it underwhelming and disappointing, especially after enjoying the food at their Scarborough location. There's really no comparison. The food on the buffet was not very fresh, as I discovered too late. The flavours in some of the dishes was good but the fried or grilled dishes were kinda dry and some of the stewed dishes had been out too long without being stirred. You could see a distinct difference after stirring it up. The butter chicken was perhaps the best dish. Some of the meat dishes seemed to fare better than the veggie dishes. The salad bar was no better. Some of the containers were practically empty the entire time I was there, therefore I really didn't have much veggies. The best part of my meal was the hot naan, made to order. As far as the crowd goes, there was one large table of ladies when I arrived. They looked like they were celebrating something. Two families of four came in, and another large table of maybe 16 people came in but didn't stay. Hmmm, maybe they looked at the buffet tables. As far as service goes, I was pretty much left on my own. My first plate (empty) was still on the table when I finished eating. I was offered the naan halfway through my first plate. At the end, it became obvious that nobody was bringing a bill so I got up, paid, and left. That's too bad. Although it's been a while since I've been to their Scarborough location. the service and food are much better. And much cheaper too! At just over $21, including tax, this was not a good deal.

Very nice Italian style setup, food selection awesome with lots of grill items. July 2020 Food news is now you can eat in and enjoy delicious food. Much improved food serving, highly recommended to try their much better food items. Customer service is also much better than last visit. Great takeout specials on daily basis. Chicken Biryani is a 5 stars for sure. Authentic Pakistani taste.

Worst experience ever, pig headed owner not open to constructive feedback. Cold food, messy place, dirty cutlery, no refills, plates not cleared up from the tables and worst quality of food ever. False advertising outside stating lunch and dinner buffet for $14.99 but dinner buffet on Saturday was $21.99. Only 2 options in dessert!!! Please do yourself a favour and find a better Pakistani/ Indian food place. See attached photos for tables that haven’t been cleared the whole time we were there and the false advertising outside.

I went there for a dinner today. I ordered palak paneer and lahore chicken karahi. Palak pakora as an appetizer. Palak paneer was so so, definitely not what i tried at other places. Chicken karahi which was supposed to Be boneless, infact was of chicken leg and thighs. Generally boneless karahis are always made of breast chicken.. gravy was tasty in chicken.. palak pakora was fresh and tasty.. i would say best in menu... service was so cold that server gave us food but no plates, had to even request for water!!

La Sani Grill was a bit of a disappointment! They have a large facility however the main entrance was littered with leaves and did not seem inviting. When we enetered the restuarant there was no one to greet us; we had to ask ourselves where to sit. The staff provided me with a single paper menu and asked me to come back to the counter to place the order. The service was cold and unfriendly which can really create a negative impact for the restaurant's image. We ordered the Lahori Cholay, Nihari, beef kabab and Chicken Malai Tikka. The food arrived quickly and tasted ok. The Nihari was a bit cold for my taste and their portions seem small. Overall an average experience; La Sani really needs to focus on their service!

I tried this place for the first time with a group of 8 for a team dinner upon recommendation from a friend. As soon as we walked in, I noticed that the entire restaurant was a ghost town, there was absolutely no customers on a Monday night. I decided to try the Beef Seekh Kebab Plate, and I'm so glad I did! I also ordered it to be spicy. This dish came with two large kebabs, rice, a small salad and naan for $11.50 In our group of 8, about half of the people got a kebab dish, while the other ordered butter chicken. Every dish came with one naan which they served in baskets all together. Usually when you go to a South Asian restaurant, the food is ordered and served family style. In this case it wasn't, every entry was served to each individual. I was also able to try the butter chicken and the Reshami Kebab. The butter chicken was really tasty! Something I personally look for in a butter chicken is if the gravy is not sweet. A lot of restaurants serve it with a sweeter gravy, but thankfully this wasn't the case here. The Reshami Kebab was ground Chicken based with a strong flavour of coriander. It was good, but a tad bit dry, but that may be because chicken doesn't have as much fat in it to seal in the flavour Overall, I had a pretty good experience and I might come back for the Seekh Kebab because it's a good option for takeout if you're in the area. I wouldn't recommend dining in here, as the service is VERY slow and the restaurant is often empty. They also only have paper takeout menus for dine in, which they ask for back which was a bit strange to me.

There food use to be really good but since last few months their quality has dropped so much. Food is like a joke to them now, it not only taste bad but it looks old which recooked in water and severed. The picture posted below is of Karahi Chicken which looks like a soupy chicken instead and tasted like salty water and chicken pieces.

It’s a halal restaurant with some options. Food was ok.... I ordered a biryani and Kabab. I found it pricy with what they offer. I will like to see better food quality...
