Review Kelseys Original Roadhouse - Ajax

First Off! We arrive and are taken to a table and the waitress runs off to get menus but never comes back. Then another waitress comes over and asks if we have ordered yet and clearly we haven't because we haven't seen a menu yet. Finally we get the menu and then wait 20 minutes for our drinks to show up. There were 4 waitresses on our table an none had a clue what they were doing. The place wasn't busy at all. We get the food and the steak was barely edible and neither the burger or steak had seasoning. I was running to the bathroom as soon as I got home. These waitresses had zero training, zero respect, zero attention to detail. The management should be fired. The cooks should be sacked. And we should get a refund. Absolutely terrible food. Roasted mushrooms came from a can, mas potato and vegetable weren't even hot enough to melt the butter. The french fries were dry. The drinks were terrible with water that was also terrible.

The location is clean and spacious but the service was just horrible, I ordered a build your own burger with avocado 🥑 and recived a burger with bacon + cheese + goat cheese without the avocado 🤯 I'm not sure if it was her way to upsale the build your own and add other things, at the end of the meal we found that there was a hair in my wife drink so we just decided to pay and leave. We will not come back to this location.

People who works there are nice but food quality is zero. I paid $90 for the worst food. The food is very dry and not eatable. They need to do serious upgrades. Fries is horrible and tenders are black. Old oil. The nachos have little bit of vegi and no cheese.

An excellent meal. Great experience long overdue. Customer Service was good. Very polite..a little loud but very polite. Super clean and welcoming Food was the best!

Going to start by saying I’m a kelsey’s fan so the fact that I’m writing such a negative review is sad. I went to Kelsey’s Ajax two weeks in a row and both times it was not busy, no wait time or anything like that, just regular restaurant flow. First time I went we waited a while to be greeted by our server then another 15 minutes for our drinks where we then ordered our appetizer and main meal at the same time which took about an hour & a half total…. just for the meal to come out in correct. It gets worse tho! Second time I go, the following week. Again, not busy restaurant flow… we get seated and it takes 35 minutes to receive a chocolate milk and strawberry ruhbarb lemonade which looked like sewer water (they didn’t bring my other friends water though still not sure why 🤦🏽‍♀️) just to see LIPSTICK on the glass!!!!!! Dis.gus.ting. The server apologized after her not coming back for 15 mins after dropping the drinks off to say it’ll be waived off the bill, at that point we didn’t even feel comfortable eating there anymore and we left to go to buffalo wild wings✌🏽. One time is one thing, but two weeks in a row is something else, which is clearly their usually standards. Not even trying to bash them or anything, Im just being honest on the service which I was shown.

After ordering the vegetarian patty for the first time and realizing it wasn't for us, Josh, our waiter, went over and beyond to make sure our night at Kelseys continued to be a great one! After immediately taking our dish away, he promptly got us the menu and allowed us the time to carefully pick our new order. While the food was being prepared, Josh refilled my boyfriends drink and even brought an extra glass for myself! His patience and quick thinking made our dinning experience a smooth one! We are incredibly satisfied with his high quality service. We will definitely be back again!

I came in tonight for the famous half priced wings and Kelseys, you did not disappoint! Shannon served and kept me entertained all night! What a character this girl is, I can see why she loves her job so much - she was probably having more fun then I was - GREAT server!! I mistakenly ordered hot wings instead of medium...so of course when they came, I was burning my mouth off. Despite being super busy and running around like crazy during the dinner rush, Shannon wanted to make sure I was enjoying my meal and insisted on taking the hot wings back and getting me something milder. What Service!!!! She also made me the best drink(s) ever to help wash down the heat - she recommended that I try the hard soda and she nailed it! I ended up having two :) Thanks Shannon, you made a great night out even better! I will def be back and requesting to sit in your section!! Cheers!

Dietary restrictions for pick up order were ignored. Ordered the bacon bourbon bbq burger and indicated "lactose intolerance (no cheese)" in their "special instructions" section which specifically mentions that it is for dietary restrictions only. The onions on the burger were soggy instead of crunchy/crispy. Angry fries were good but all of the seasoning was in the bottom of the container instead of mixed well on the fries. Also ordered the fish and chips and messy fish burger. The coleslaw was the same size as the tartar sauce (small sauce dish). Nowadays you really need to do better than this.
