Review Pickering Village Ice Cream Shoppe - Ajax

This place is one of the best ice cream places in Ajax. Every time we go there we pick a different flavour so we can try new stuff. One time we ordered the strawberry sorbet for my daughter and it was AMAZING!!! This time the salted Caramel truffle flavour blew up my mind. It was unreal and definitely worth the try! What made it even tastier were the small pieces of chocolate truffle in it which were actually incredible!!! I ordered the big scoop and there was a good amount of truffle in it. This flavour is my favourite by far!

What a cute little shop! There are so many flavors, but nothing beats regular chocolate and sprinkles for me. Loved it! šŸ¦

Cute vintage aesthetic shop. I love coming here on summer evenings though there is a small line up outside sometimes. Scoops are a decent size for me and they have some unique flavours that I wouldn't find in my local grocery store. I almost always get 2 scoops to share, to get better value per scoop. I've only been here during covid, and I've seen that every time a customer is served, they switch out their disposable gloves which I'm happy about.

Ordered large special (waffle cone with slight chocolate dip) - raspberry cheesecake ice cream. 6.75$ The entrance is at the back - with the exit being at the front of the store. The location was clean but no hand sanitizers anywhere and not sure how often it was being wiped down. The ice cream itself was okay. It was a fairly small scoop compared to the size of the cone and the special cone could use more chocolate and be crispier. You are probably just better off getting the regular cone. Overall ice cream was okay not as extravagant as I was expecting based on other reviews. the location surrounding and sites of the historic building is really what made this experience nice.

Really good quality ice cream and nice history pieces giving the shop an early 1900 feel. Service was good but staff wasnt really interacting with confused out of town customers. Price is good for the quality and strength of the waffle cones.

Despite the large crowd on Saturday, the atmosphere was calm and inviting; the court yard feels homely. The ice cream shop have your taste buds going long before you start eating. Just delicious. I will be visiting very frequently this summer. Check it out!!!

I've been going here for years. They serve Kawartha Dairy ice cream and it was one of the original places to carry it in Durham. The service has always been great and in the summer there is a really nice courtyard to sit in.

They sell Kawartha branded ice cream so if you are looking for nice variety of flavours (rum raisin or sherbet) then here is the spot. However, please do save yourself some coins by going to grocery storeā€™s that sell the Kawartha ice cream tubs. Food Basics or Costco are good.
