My favourite place to go for burgers. Definitely an awesome new place. The decor is terrible though unfortunately.

After a long day of driving and looking at commercial properties,my wife and I decided what the heck lets try 5guys (never had before).
The burgers were absolutely delicious and staff at the Ajax location was super!
They asked us how everything was an tasted, their ice machine was down at the time so they gave us free drinks an once we told them how awesome everything was and not to worry about the Ice, they came and handed us a complimentary bag if fries with a side of spicy mayo.....so good!!!
We both recommend this location simply because if their happy and outgoing staff!

Good food.. It’s one these new hamburger chain which are bigger than the usual fast food burgers and more expensive. Expect to pay about $12 to $15 per person but you will leave full. We like the burgers 4 out 5 times. Tons of topping to choose from and tasty fries.

Good burger and fries. I'm pretty much going to echo what Ryan says below. Big minus to Five Guys for not using real cheese, though - it's PCF ("Processed Cheese Food" - definitely processed (salty); not so sure about the "cheese" part (although it is light orange); OK I guess it's "food"). The two patty burger approach definitely gives a different (positive) taste to the burger, as you get more cooked surface in every bite. The fries were excellent. A single large was more than enough for me and two teenage sons. I have to say that I liked the rock music from the late 50s to the 80s. It wasn't all the usual stuff you get tired of. Any place that has E.L.O.'s "10538 Overture" playing has something good going for it. I'll go back from time to time, but Five Guys isn't going to be my first choice for a burger in Durham Region.

It's tough to compare burgers nowadays because it seems everywhere a new burger joint is popping up. There are lots of options. Each chain seems I have something different to offer. Five guys has a unique feel. Staff are friendly. Service is quick, considering that each patty is hand formed and not ready cooked. Portion of fries are huge. Regular burger is actually 2 patties which seems to increase surface area and therefore taste. Help yourself to gre peanuts and refills while u wait. Toppings are fresh and lots of options. Will go back for sure. Worth a try.
