Review Retro Burger - Ajax

How did I not know about this place?! The menu is extensive with so many delectable options! Normally, I would just go to a Wendy's or Burger King, but I decided to throw caution to the wind and even their onion rings were incredible. You don't even need a double cheeseburger cause one patty will put you into a satisfied food-coma. Their staff is friendly, approachable, and professional. Their always happy to give recommendations if you feel like trying something new and every meal is a trip to flavour town. If you're looking for a burger joint, this is the place to go.

How have we lived on Porte Road for 3 years and only discovered this place today?! What a gem! The food is absolutely delicious. We got a lot of things to try a variety. And definitely did not regret anything!!! I hate onion rings because I can always taste the stale oil smell everywhere else, but the onion rings were amazing here. And the Big 10 burger was an absolute monster, so juicy, flavourful and tasty. The Chicken Souvlaki has that charred taste, what an absolute delight. Needless to say, there will be several more trips to here. Will obviously have to go back to try the fried Mars bar.

The "real poutine" that they sell here look nothing like real poutine as you can see in the pic. But more importantly, they put HOT fries and HOT gravy directly in the styrofoam causing the STYROFOAM to MELT which is a HEALTH HAZARD! How would you like your poutine with a side of melting styrofoam? I gave them two stars instead of one because their burgers are decent.

Not bad burger joint. I have also tried their fish and chips. The real winner is the philly cheese steak poutine. A must try if you come here.

Tonight my husband and I went to Retro Burger and I was extremely disappointed. We ordered 2 Greek Salads with chicken and two cans of pop - cost $42.35. We started to eat the salad and it was filled with wilted brown lettuce. They forgot to add the salad dressing and the side of tzaziki. When we went back in to express our concerns they did not apologize, they did not offer a refund, they did not offer a credit they barely acknowledged the issue. It looks like this restaurant must have changed owners because not only was the food terrible, so was the service.

Wow, just wow. Great place for fresh grilled burgers and philly cheese steak. Everything was fresh and cooked upon ordering. Its something you eat right away while its hot, whether it be in your car or dining in, be aware, need multiple napkins due to the juices that will be dripping all over your hands and mouth. No pun intended.

Ordered my lunch from retro burger via Skip the Dishes. Decided to order the Philly Cheese Steak and Bacon Poutine. Love the portion size and the food was very flavourable. I usually order the double bacon cheese burger, which might be the best thing on their menu. Would highly recommend this place.

Retro Burger is exactly that, a throwback to the classic charbroiled burger joint…except the menu expand here to so much more…grabbed a bacon cheeseburger and a Philly cheesesteak poutine. The burger was again classic, charbroiled and just right. Good bacon, good cheese, love the sautéed onions and the special sauce is exactly that. Philly poutine was also a home run. Packed from top to bottom with all the goods, this was well worth it. Will return.
