This was my first time at a Joeys Seafood restaraunt and I was surprised that it had formal seating and a full service bar. The staff are friendly and the food comes out quick. Prices are reasonable and we both left happy and full. No complaints. Simple fried seafood. The coconut prawns were really good and the fish tacos were all delicious.

Recently I had to break up with my new boyfriend because his breath stunk and he swore to much. We had been dating for 6 days and i was absolutely heart broken. I called over my best lady bish Tiffany for a girl and wine night. She always gives the best advice and pays for the wine so I felt like it was a win win for me. A few hours into the night I was just cracking my 4th bottle of Arbor Mist when Tiffany said something to me that completely changed the entire course of the evening. I was sitting on the couch teary eyed sipping my wine when she came over. She wiped the drops from my tear soaked cheeks, kneeled down and with conviction said "their are plenty of fish in the sea" I had never heard this term before and found it to be incredibly enduring, but unwittingly Tiff's term of endearment set off my food alarm. I lifted my head and had only three things to say, fish and chips. The thought of fish and chips had my heart going a mile a minute, I chugged my wine and we hopped in my car and I drove straight to Joey's Seafood.

   Upon our arrival we were greeted by our waiter Jeff'nhu. He was a stunningly beautiful black man, He stood 6'5" with pearly white teeth, an exotic accent and his breath smelt like mint and gin. I couldn't decide weather his accent was french or African but every word he said made me melt, and I was immediately over my boyfriend. He led us to our table. As we walked to our booth I felt his big strong hand on the small of my back and thoughts of marriage raced through my mind. We ordered two Molson Canadians and he asked If we would like to see the menu, but we laughed in his face and said we had come for the fish and chips. This is where my only complaint of the evening comes, after saying that he just turned and walked away. After a bit i saw him and flagged him down, turns out he forgot to ask what type of chips we wanted with our fish and chips. I told him I would be dining on the doritos tonight, he in turn explained they didn't have doritos so I said i would settle with BBQ. And this is where the real confusion began, he then explained that the chips were actually french fries? why would they call them chips then? shouldn't it be called fish and french fries then? either way I feel like this is maybe false advertising, whats next the fish is actually pork? good grief. All these feelings immediately vanished though as Jeff'nhu brought out our feast. I began by covering my "chips" with a layer of salt, vinegar and ketchup. They were crunchy yet soft and as i drove them furiously into my mouth I accidentally bit my ring finger, big mistake I was saving that baby for Jeff'nhu!! Next up was the main event, The fish! I took a feisty fork full of tartar sauce and filled my mouth before my first bite. As i bit into the fish the crunch of the batter exploded its Seafood bounty deep into my mouth. The fish was so fresh and fun. It tasted like it was definitely caught that morning. I closed my eyes and imagined I was darles Charwin on the mayflower while he and his crew survived on fresh fish on their search for Americas. When I opened my eyes, almost as by some sort of magic my food was gone. I had blacked out and ate the entire thing! on a scale of 1 to excellent I would rate the meal and service amazing!! Jeff'nhu then cleared our dishes and we payed our bill. I was gonna give him my number but I got to scared last minute, but turns out I have a few tricks up my sleeve! with ketchup I wrote my number on the table before we left.

   If anyone is ever in Airdree and looking for fresh seafood and great service this is the place to be! Since this night I haven't thought about my ex once. Thanks joeys for mending my broken heart and filling my belly with fish. I love you.

Huge Improvement. I took my family yesterday to Joey's Airdrie. It was the first time since the new owner took over and I couldn't believe the huge improvement. The Restaurant was spotless, the service very attentive, Food delicious and big portions. Also my wife doesn't like fish but she tried the ribs and really liked it. We will be back soon.

HAve not checked out this Joeys location in a few years. Last visit was horrible. decided to try it again and what a big difference! The staff was very informative and prompt service and the food is wonderful. served hot and fresh. So delicious! will be back very soon!!

Oh my!. Oh my GOODness.
Under new ownership and boy is it fabulous now! Refills on fish 'n chips is super speedy. The waitress smiles now and knows the difference between the different fish textures. Super clean now. My salmon was perfect. Not a personal fan of the veggies in the oil and whatever, but they still tasted great! Dad can't get enough of their coleslaw.
We go quite often now!

Give it another try. Have been to this restaurant a few times in the last two years and was not impressed (should have learned sooner I guess) However the new management has considerably improved the food and service. Have eaten there twice in the last month and have changed my opinion from "avoid" to "recommend"

Fun, friendly, Good Food. Extremely friendly waitstaff. Food good: had the rib special. Garlic mashed potatoes "loaded" and a nice mixed salad w/balsamic vinegrette. Kokanee beer. Cool Place. Good all around. Relaxed place, with no pretentions. Very Airdrie.

Excellent quality comfortable dining.... My wife and I went to dinner a couple of times already Joeys is a welcoming place, the food is great, both of our meals were excellent. After our meal we shared mud pie with rum ..... the staff is very kind and rise to the occasion. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend it, perhaps for a romantic dinner.
