Went in on a Sunday, he was closing but politely helped me order a meal that his kitchen could still make. I'm a vegetarian so he recommended tomalies. Price was a little high 17$ but the meal was delicious, fresh, and very filling. Definitely my go to on a lazy Sunday. It is recently under new management. Clean inside. Thank you
Fresh and delicious Mexican food, lots of vegetarian options. My wife is a vegetarian and my sister-in-law is Mexican, and I found the food here delicious. It was fresh with a reasonably large order and lots of options to choose from. I visited it in January 2017.
Since 26 of October 2016, we are reopening UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT with the hope to serve you better.

I was craving Mexican and stopped by for a snack on a whim. The complimentary salsa is fresh with lots of flavour and tortilla chips are house made. I was hoping to try some vegetarian enchiladas but had a communication problem with the waitress so settled for vegetarian nachos. They came with beans, mozzarella cheese and various grilled vegetables including peppers and mushrooms. The side of guacamole was much tinier than in the menu photo, disappointing since it was really tasty. Service was friendly, but English was definitely a second language. I had to resort to the point and smile technique with the menu. All in all, I would stop back in again.
This was a nice place. Nice, fresh food, but it did have small portions for the price paid. Still, they gave me a margarita (again, small) on the house because it was my birthday, which was very nice of them.
Typical Mexican joint. Had the enchiladas was very good. Complimentary chips and salsa (pico degallo) were a nice touch. Points were score when 6 Mexican local workers came in for lunch, thinking to my self "this place has to be good" I felt like I was on vacation
I rate it 3.5 and my wife says 5 stars.
The best!. I started going there a couple years ago as I worked near by. It became my regular place to have lunch and dinner. The was always ready quickly and tasted delicious!
I'm very impressed with the new owners! They now offer delivery which I use frequently. Always a very friendly welcome, I always feel at home when I'm there!
I order the Aztec soup and 4 beef tacos.
The soup has a great spice to it and comes with sour cream and sliced avocado. The beef tacos are topped with fresh onions and parsly, and come with a lime and the hot sauce there is great!
They always start you off with chips and fresh pico de gallo.

Super good lunch! We had the chicken quesadilla and the chicken mole entree. They were both really tasty! Chips with salsa arrived first, not a fancy restaurant, but clean and good prices. We'll be back!
After a trip to the local wakeboard cable park, myself and six hungry men searched for a burrito.. I googled this place and we decided to give it a try. Yelp gave it a bad rep but it is completely wrong! Everything we had was SO delicious!! I had a burrito and they boys ate everything else on the the menu and we all loved it! I would definitely recommend it!
Tasty, but a bit slow. We've been meaning to try this place for ages, and last night we did. It's in a dodgy-looking little strip with tight parking and it doesn't look too inviting from the outside, but inside it is bright and cheerful. We seated ourselves and after a few minutes the lone server came to take our order.
The food was delicious. I had 4 tacos and the tamales, my wife had enchiladas. All of the food was fresh and really good. In particular, the salsa served with the chips was bright and fresh and simple.
Service was leisurely - don't go here if you're in a hurry. But not everything has to be fast food, and if you have some time, the food is definitely worth it. We will be returning.
I love Mexico. Many hole in the wall that is great to eat at. In Abby, well I found myself a hole in the wall. I've passed by many time, and decided to go in cause I was daydreaming of my recent Mexico vacation. This place is my new escape to Mexico. Authentic and brings back all the great memories.
Thank goodness there is an authentic Mexican restuarant in abbotsford now. I loved this place. I live in Chilliwack and we drove out to Abbotsford to try this place. Very friendly staff and the food is great. Keep up the good work.
Surprisingly good! Looks sketchy - hole in the wall, but cute inside! Service was fine and very quick! Chips and salsa were so fresh and DELICIOUS. Food was really satisfying. Yum! :)
Great food! I love the atmosphere and polite staff, however occasionally their food is on the salty side, which they're more than happy to substitute for! Definitely go here :)

Great Authentic Fare. This is not your Tex-Mex taco shop, or your (crappy) local chain fast food place.
Mexico Sabroso is an authentic Mexican cafe in the heart of Abbotsford. The operation is family owned/run, and great care goes into all the dishes.
Our Abbotsford branch office (SinghThindLaw.com, and DigitalGrit.ca) is located quite near this restaurant, and we are lunch regulars. There are other choices in the neighborhood: Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai; but Mexico Sabroso made me step back and compare the authenticity. It stands out among Lower Mainland Mexican/Central American restaurants.
If you think Las Margaritas (or that other place) on West 4th are any good (and, honestly, they're not), you really owe it to yourself to try this place.
Portions are great. The Enchilladas platter was superb. I haven't tasted anything I don't like. The salsa is fresh and tasty, and always served with chips and hot sauces to start the meal. A couple of times I noted a bit much salt in the sour cream and/or salsa - but, just let them know you want low salt and they'll do it for you (beforehand). Service is excellent - and they take the time to explain everything to you.
Definitely on the "winner" list for this foodie. Conveniently located across the street from the Abbotsford Courthouse (for all my lawyer friends).
