Review Ihop - Abbotsford

The best American breakfast, and what better place than International House of Pancakes. We were on our way to Kelowna for the long weekend. Our first pit stop was at IHOP for breakfast. We were served by Vivian. She was very sweet. We ordered the New Mexican Chirro Pancakes, and they were delicious. Also tried the Mushroom Omelette, New York Cheese Cake Pancakes. Coffee was good too. Food - 8 Service - 9 Ambience- 7 (very similar to all other locations) Experience - 7 Price - $$

The staffs are in their own world, very slow service. And if you donate to their charity then they serve you with a smile or they don't even want to look at you. Donation is $5.00 . The hot chocolate I ordered was very cold so I had to wait for them to arrive then asked them to heat it up. A woman customer is sitting there eating with a mask on her face . Lol .

Surprisingly good place to grab a bite to eat. Every time I've been there the service has been exceptional and the food comes quite fast. Prices are also pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get. I personally always get an omelette and have never been disappointed! The location, being very central Abbotsford is also quite ideal

Good iHop place to eat. Wait time is true, 30mins for seating in the mornings. Wait time for food 20-30mins. Good for some relaxed group eating and family, but not for a quick bite. Parking is limited. Park behind and not along highway neat HomeDepo. Not allowed to park at HomeDepo. Service is consisted of young girls. They are just trying their best to be fast but there's not a lot of experience. I commend them for their effort. The dining areas are still big. 1 upstairs and 1 floor seating. -2⭐ because the washroom is SO DIRTY. i have been to different iHop places and this is just SAD. Everything else is ok, even if the place is look old and run down.
Chicken Patty
Good food. Good quantities and made fresh. Love the several syrup options available. Quick and friendly service

Whether you want crepes, pancakes, waffles, omelettes or just a plain old Breakfast...you can't get much better. A High End breakfast stop, but sometimes you just have to splurge!

I honestly like IHOP and the service at this location was fast and friendly. However, the Avocado and eggs benny was the most horrible benny I've ever had. I realised that the menu did state that it's served with scrambled eggs and the server did double check this with me prior to entering the order. I've never had it with scrambled eggs but figured why not? Maybe IHOP is on to something. NOPE. Skip it, the whole dish feels classless and chucky. The avocado was 3 Very thin slices thrown on the side of the plate. These were obviously sitting out for a whike because they were brown and cleaned from the skin poorly to begin with. The toast was not toasted, so in turn it was a softy chew mess and the hollandaise was chunky and pale. All around a gross meau item. The turkey was the dishes only redeemed quality to say the least. I'd still recommend IHOP though as they do make wonderful pancakes! Lesson learned on ordering anything but pancakes.

Good breakfast, but wish they would bring back stuffed french toast

Have been a loyal customer for many, many years, I know a lot of the waitresses by name, went in today and everything was good up to getting our beverages from the young lady, but then they forgot we were there, a table of 5 came in sat next to us about 15 mins after we were seated, they had their order taken and had received their food before someone remembered to take our order and still we sat, the table of 5 finished their meal and paid for their food and still we had no food, no one bothered to let us know if there was something wrong in the kitchen or with our order, after sitting there for an hour and a 1/2 with nothing more than 2 coffees and a milkshake, I paid for that and left, at that time I still did not get a reason why we did not get our food, I did get I'm sorry from the waitress but a little too little and a little to late, not sure if I can bring myself to ever go back if that is how they treat their long term customers

I was very curious to visit this place! Visited this place on Tuesday morning for breakfast, ordered chocolate chip and raspberry pancakes which were good! But was disappointed, as there are no options for vegetarians! I tried a vegetable grilled sandwich which was pathetic! Good breakfast place for non-vegetarians only! And yes there hot chocolate is amazing!

Chicken and waffles were delicious! The batter was perfectly light and so was their honey mustard. The belgian waffle was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Their country fried steak was disappointing. The steak was nothing special. Their pancakes tastes OK. Service was ridiculously slow. We only came here as it was on our way back to Vancouver.

Nothing special. I'm just being honest here: this place isn't a good value for your money.
I know of many other places in town that offer breakfasts and really nice prices. This place though, man.. I guess if you really dig their pancakes it's cool, but I don't think they're that good.
So I ordered a standard breakfast. Sausages, two fried eggs over easy, bacon.. maybe hash browns? I can't even remember.
And on the side of course you have your pancakes. They looked great.
But upon taking the first bite, bite one, I considered that maybe IHOP was not my bag. It's kind of like when you get a mouthful of a peanut butter; you have this thick mass of mushy cake stuff in your mouth. You're trying to chew it a bit to break it down some but it just keeps absorbing more moisture and becoming worse.
Yes, this sound completely ridiculous but I'll own it: IHOP's pancakes are too cakey.

They didn't taste all that exciting. I guess I'm just used to the ones I make at home maybe..? The rest of the plate wasn't special either. Standard breakfast fare.

All that aside, my main gripe is with the price. I just don't feel like a standard breakfast and a couple of pancakes should have cost as much as it did. I've gotten much grander portions elsewhere for equal money. It's not like IHOP is an experience you need to have if you're out and about. It's just pancakes.

The place was jam packed though. I guess that's good. It's nice to see people really getting into a restaurant like that. And even with all the people in there our service was lightning quick. I can appreciate that. There are good people there.

Yeah, so if you want pancakes and you've never had IHOP before, give it a try if you want and see how you like it. Otherwise, look elsewhere. There's not much else for you here.

Awful service. I came here once... and only once. The server at Ihop was AWFUL! Upon arriving, she gave every person in our table a survey to fill out. It asked for our names, e-mail addresses, and other personal information that I did not want to give out. So my friends and I ignored the survey and started looking through the menu. The waitress came back a few minutes later, but she refused to take our order until we filled out the survey. I told her politely that I didn't want to fill it out, and I just wanted to order some food. She became quite angry and told me that her manager would be very mad at her if she didn't get us to fill out the forms, and she refused to take our order until we filled them out. She gave out pens for us to use and left us to fill out our forms. She didn't even take our drink orders. We filled out the forms with fake names and addresses so that the waitress would take our order. She finally took our order but did not give us our drinks and did not come back to see how our food was.

Since when is it required to give out your personal information if you want to be served? I hope this woman was fired. Either way, I will never return to this location.

Great breakfast spot! Our family favorite. We have never had an issue with the service or food at the Abby IHOP.

Terrible service! do not eat here. Waitresses don't listen to what you say.

The service was lousy, the food cold and the wait was way too long for food & the bill. Over all a very unsatisfying meal

On the fence.. I want to like this place. The waitresses remember you and like you and smile at you and seem like they care about you and are willing to strike up a conversation and laugh with you, but sometimes half your order doesn't make it to you and you're left wanting refills. The rest of the time, things are pretty good.

If you come in at 7:30 and they're closing at 9 though, don't expect them to give a damn that you're there. They're too busy preparing for close to serve you. They might as well just have shut the doors and not let you in, 'cause they sure don't want to deal with you, and they'll do the bare minimum it takes to get you some food. I don't know why they don't just close at 7 and spend the next 2 hours closing in peace and quiet, 'cause they're sure not going to make much money in those couple hours treating people like that. I'd understand that sort of attitude if we walked in at 8:30, but an hour and a half before close? Sure, you've got things to do, but the restaurant is open so they can make some money, is it not? (I'm not just being insensitive - I've worked in food service on closing shift. It's not impossible.)
