Cool place with great ambience and good music. Really liked the rose mule and jalisco berry drinks. Creative with the menu displays and delightful service. Its a little pricey though. Ordered Buttermilk Chicken Sandwiches with Yam and Sea Salted Fries. They were amazing. Ofcourse because of late delivery from uber it was all cold and fries were soggy but full marks to the place. Customised as requested. Definitely recommended!

Great food and great service. Not too crowded or noisy. Aesthetically appealing. Good deals.

We hadn't been to the Towne Hall for quite a while but had a nice experience. We had fried dill pickles as an appetizer. Weirdly it came with potato chips...bonus double appetizer. Drinks were good. Service was also good. We came at shift change so weren't sure where our server went for a bit until we got our bill. Not too busy but it was a Thursday night. There is a mix of seating-brightly lit area, main pub floor, some darker nooks and patio seating as well.

Used to be our favourite place to go. Then they changed the menu. The Alfredo pizza was my fav. They wouldn’t even make it on request even though they clearly still have all the ingredients because the ingredients are in other dishes on the menu. Thankfully we had Hailey as our waitress who was amazing and helped us substitute some stuff on the menu so we could still get what we wanted. We actually were ready not to come back until she did this for us so you go Hailey. You deserve a raise for saving clients 👍🏻

Normally we have a good experience, this time we went in, waited almost 10 minutes to be seated then we had to ask if we could go sit, the waitress was super short and literally said “yeah I don’t care pick a table” so we sat waited another 10 minutes and no one came over to greet us or take our drink order so we left! Waitress had medium length blonde hair and worked up on the top section by the windows didn’t catch her name but could use a bit of an attitude adjustment if your going to work in customer service.

Great environment especially on trivia nights! Hailey especially was super nice, I asked my boyfriend to order me a shot while I was in the bathroom and she didn’t take the order until she heard from me personally that it was okay. The MC on trivia nights is great too, he brings awesome energy and has fun with the crowd! Definitely recommend coming here

Covid has been different for everyone my friend and I tried to come here and instead of trying to make an effort to validate our information it was easier to just deny us for services. My friend has an exemption, myself I was only vaccinated not long ago and my digital card was not accessible yet. I just feel that they could have if they wanted to tried better. Not rude, respectful and polite staff.

Got a Szechuan bowl on my way home tonight after work, and it was both beautiful (which is amazing for takeout) and delicious.

townhall is too small we need a bigger nightclub is very bad i hate the bouncers they got into a fight with one of my friends for no reason and they were sober the whole time. Its too small its a big problem

Today was my first day going to this place and i can see why i never wanted to go... The waitress was sassy from the start and we have no clue why; i would understand if i was being too much but we werent sure where the attitude came from. Our drinks didnt taste like they had vodka in them. The waitress checked on us once, a minute after our food arrived. We had to ask for our bill after sitting and waiting for it. Then i had to ask for a to-go box because she never offered. Even though, more than half my food was sitting on my plate. I would not go here ever again.

Townhall Abbotsford is an absolute disgrace to JRG's name and reputation! The bouncers they have on Friday and Saturday nights are not only unprofessional, but they are power tripping, REPULSIVE human beings. I personally know a handful of people who have been beaten to the point of hospitalization by these grown, sober MEN who don't know how to properly do their job. Not only do they have multiple men gang up and beat on single persons, but they choke out/drag/hit/rough house YOUNG WOMEN 1/4 - 1/2 their size and age!<br/><br/>These "men" always take it too far, and I can attest to that because I worked at this establishment very briefly several years ago, and I know they look forward to these encounters. They did then, and they're still doing so now.

Very small portions, limited menu, dirty tables, very slow service, rude staff, very pricey, not worth going again. Seems very loud and busy. My steak was cooked properly but very tasteless. They got our order wrong but didn't care to fix it. Clearly the food comes from a box. It was totally not worth the money and I'm not going again.

Ruined Our Ladies Night Out -  <br/>Terrible service. Obnoxious and bullying bouncer - very rude; left terrible impression. I used to like this place; not going back.

Visted today during happy hour. Wanted a non-alcoholic drink as I am taking a break for 30 days. I had to explain to server how to build a soda with grenadine as they only had pop on menu. I also ordered a veggie flatbread. She told me it was only $5 to add chicken...I looked at the menu and it said $4. So the server does not even know what the simple menu says? When my friend arrived he ordered a wine. The flatbread was 5 stars. Service was good except a bit disappointed that the very weak soda and grenadine was $2.64 when all happy hour drinks were $3! I would have expected perhaps $1.50 for soda. So glad they support non drinking patrons. When the bill arrived the server did what they often do....gave me a $5 bill and change. My bill was $14.10. So she was hoping for a 37% tip for 2 items?? Well I left the change. When I go out the service must match the quality of food. Food was great but takes more than a server wearing a tight top to get a good tip. 3/5 stars

We came for a family Thanksgiving dinner, 3 family's. We had a excellent turkey dinner, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas , bun and cranberry sauce. More than enough food and almost like mom would make. Our server was excellent, 2 kids and 6 adults who thought they were kids, she held her own! Cheers to the cooks, the establishment and our hostess Daryl.

Went to Townhall today for my birthday lunch. The waitress was great. Very friendly. She even stopped to take a picture of us even though I could tell she was quite busy. Our food came out nice and quick. And was so delicious! I had the loaded burger with fries. Even my 8 month old daughters eyes open huge when they brought my meal out lol. I'll definitely have to eat there again took me so long to decide what to order I'll just have to keep going back until I try everything! Only critique would be that they allow children in before 8pm but have no high chairs. Luckily we knew this and brought one along. But all in all a great experience!!

Nice Birthday Dinner ruined by Townhall Night Club. Let me start off by saying " I enjoy a good party", and by far I am not considered a prude.<br/><br/> It was my 38th Birthday celebration, not a milestone but a reason to get dressed up and invite some good friends to enjoy a dinner and drinks out. We were torn between the Cactus Club or Townhall and opted for the Townhall. Our server was great! Very tentative and helpful with the food choices as well as the vast selection of beer. <br/><br/>My meal was tasty( teriyaki rice bowl), a smaller portion than I am used to but the dish was well presented and flavourful. Post meal we enjoyed the mini donuts and another beverage...that's when we were put off.....<br/><br/>Around 10 pm we notice younger adults trickling in, conglomerating by the entrance and spilling onto an area where we noticed the dinner tables had been moved. Then the interior lighting went low, and the music cranked up! (Base, base, base)<br/><br/> WHAT WAS GOING ON? We noticed other couples and small groups looking around awkwardly as well that were there earlier. It went from a pleasant, mixed age group, pub style atmosphere to a youth-filled, rambunctious, alcohol toting night club.<br/><br/>If that's the norm, fine , but we were unaware that our evening was going to be cut short because we could no longer communicate with the person sitting next to us. We now wished we were given "the heads" up when we arrived at 8pm. <br/><br/>It put us all off! I have spoken more of the disappointing nights end than the positive beginnings we endured. <br/><br/>All in all I think the Townhall is a great place to gather with friends but next time I will probably choose the latter ( The Cactus Club) to avoid the wantime to be night club the Abbotsford Townhall is trying to mimic.<br/><br/>Unfortunate ending to a fun night.

Terrible (Maple Ridge Location). This just opened here in Maple Ridge and UGH!!! Unfriendly staff , service is better at Burger King. Tried a so-called pizza and even though Maple Ridge is the retirement home of many a old pizza chef it seems they did not hire one. This was just about the worst pizza I have ever had outside of Pizza Hut. The place is too uppity and seems like the atmosphere is plastic and contrived. Dang bad we went here after getting a door hanger flyer with our newspaper and reading reviews on their facebook page which in hind sight seems to have been written by employees. Whoever is running this kitchen should be taken out before they end up like Wings and Don Cherry's which also did not last very long.

Great building, disappointing food. I love the location- the building is very cool and the comfortable seats near the fireplaces are great. Lots of wood and stone. Probably one of my favourite restaurant interiors in Abby. <br/><br/>Went there for lunch on Halloween this year. The servers were dressed up in costumes, which was cool, but the food was very disappointing unfortunately. <br/><br/>I ordered the Cuban Sandwich on sourdough for about $12. The sandwich was missing 2 of the advertised (and fairly key in a Cuban) ingredients- the pickles and mustard. Also barely any cheese. Those things, combined with the sourdough, which was more like a grocery store white bread than a proper loaf, that was soggy, made for a let down. Tiny and way overpriced. <br/><br/>My co-diner had a goat cheese salad that she liked. <br/><br/>We shared the calamari. It came with two creamy dips- I believe one was a chipotle mayo and the other was a horseradish mayo. The horseradish was tasty, but couldn't save the calamari, as it was well overcooked. Crunchy and chewy. We still ate most of it, and since we only had 45 mins for lunch, we didn't send it back and I didn't complain about the Cuban sandwich. <br/><br/>The server was friendly, but didn't ask us how the food was. If she had I might have mentioned the problems with the food, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to say anything- just probably won't go back. <br/><br/>Unfortunately, to top it off they charged us about $3 for a coffee we never ordered. It wasn't mistakenly brought to us or anything, just erroneously added to our bill. We didn't notice until we were in the car driving. We still tipped because I was industry for years and the server was nice.

Decent breaky for $4. Good service and a modern/comfortable atmosphere. Definitely dining here again!

Not a real public house. The Coquitlam location has much better service, friendlier staff who deserve their tips, and a real pub atmosphere. Abby's location? Well, they're trying too hard to be "like the big city pubs."<br/>When we asked how much a pint of Innes&Gunn would be, the waitress said "I'll find out for you!" and with a snarky tone. Then, she came back 10 minutes late, with the pints poured, telling us it was $10 per pint and "is that okay?" <br/>No, it's not okay, but you've already poured the pints...jeez.<br/>Food is sub-standard, compared to other Townhall, and other pubs in general. Music was too loud (not to mention tasteless for a the dinner crowd), and that defeats the purpose of a public house, where people go to mingle and enjoy their meals with friends. <br/>Will NOT be going back to this particular location.

First & last diner experience. Well, took my daughter there for b-day lunch.. she had a salad that had raw tuna in it and lots of other stuff.. said it was probably best salad she'd had.. actually YUM is how she explained it.. I had chicken strips.. with fries, they were good. We both ordered a pop at the start.. my daughters glass came with broken glass attached which she cut her finger on... bleeding all over a napkin I called the server who provided her with alcohol rub and a band-aid, and their apologies. Manager came up.. he apologized and said he would be sure to adjust our bill accordingly..advice, check your dishes for broken glass, the "comp" on our bill was for the pop!!! Any place I have ever been that has had the most minor incidents, they've "comped" no less than the meal.. not the pop!! So needless to say, the food was good but they won't get my return business nor will I recommend the new Townhall!! Maybe I'm wrong, but if one of your customers bleeds due to unseen broken glass stuck to their drink.. well all I can say is good thing they aren't a restraunt in the U S of A... a comp for pop would have been a law suit by some!!!

Here's a tip: when someone phones you looking for the 'Duke of Dublin', don't just confirm they "have the wrong number this is Town hall", tell them what town hall is!!!

Dandi. Our whole evening was a disaster. They had lost our reservation for 11 people so weren't prepared. Lost 2 orders. When they finally did arrive with these orders they were not filled as ordered. Bills were all messed up - some were redone 3 times. To compensate they did not charge for the 2 lost orders and did give us all a free drink coupon. Food was average - nothing special.

Shep's Pie...check! Spot on authentic English. Beef Dip is amazing and filling. Perfectly carmelized slow roasted beef and shredded crispy crust bits of slightly dense bread. Dip is more of a gravey that I wish my toothpaste was flavoured after. Had a couple great Fentiman's Gingerbeer...not for p-u-s-s-i-e-s! This place might be on a roll for me.

Loved it!. One of the better establishments I've ever been to. Clean, nice decor. Service staff is cheerful, knowledgeable, and smiling. Food tasted great, fairly inexpensive. Beer list is a major plus as well. Will definitely be returning again and again.

Hash browns are deep fried and the eggs Benedict sauce tastes like mayonnaise. Bacon was soo good though.

Dinner. Went to Townhall last night with my husband because we have been hearing about it from our friends. We had a very bad experience at the duke and refused to go back.The inside was similar to the duke but it seems more inviting than it did before. The record wall was interesting and I am sure the younger people love it. The atmosphere was great, we sat by the fireplace, nice and cozy. <br/><br/>When we go out, we know what to expect from a server. The server should keep our drinks full, bring us warm food in a timely manner and then we pay and leave. The server was very friendly and made us feel welcomed into the new establishment. For once a girl knew almost as much about beer as my husband does and impressed him with her knowledge of some of the craft beers. She brought us out our drinks than took our orders telling us that I picked her favourite salad for my meal which got me excited for my meal. She brought out our food which was the right temperature in a timely fashion. The food was great and didn't let us down. I had the tuna salad which didn't have quite enough wasabi dressing for me (I love wasabi), so she brought me a little more of it which made it perfect. <br/><br/>A first visit can be a make or break and my husband and I do not give places second chances. This first visit exceeded our expectations. The service was phenomenal which was a breath of fresh air compared to other places in Abbotsford. We will be back soon.

Awesome breakfast specials!!!. Been to townhall a couple times now... and love it!! The staff makes you feel so welcome and just like family. They have great comfort food, cheap drinks and on the weekends they even have breakfast for $4! i couldnt believe how cheap it was. I love going for a couple of drinks with some friends and the bartender even bought everyone in there a round, nothing like a drink on the house while watching the Cannucks game. I highly recommend this place. Great food, service and experience. Consider my self a regular :)

The selection of beer is quite extensive and while I'm not a craft beer fan there is enough selection to satisfy a thirsty patron. The service was good as well, though my companion was a bit shocked at the extensive cleavage, this did not bother me as skin often equals tips, nevertheless the young lady was charming. The meals we had however was, to say the least underwhelming. The fish and chips were reminiscent of fish sticks in the frozen food department at save-on food and the pulled pork was also somewhat boring. That is a shame as the food served in The Duke of Dublin was far superior. Overall we did not have a terrible experience but will remember to eat before we go out

Great atmosphere, awesome DJ, delicious food and drinks!. My girl friends and I went to Townhall on Friday night for dinner and dancing. We had a great dinner, I had the shepherd pie. It was very tasty and comes with a very unique salad, I recommend trying that. We had great service, and the manger came with a free round of shots. They have a great selection of drinks, I enjoyed the red devil, and the aqua marine. After dinner the DJ came on, we loved the songs he played. Everything from old school to the new happening songs. It was fun up beat atmosphere and we had a wonderful time dancing. I can't wait to go back on the weekend too, have the $4.00 breakfast special and a mamosa. This place is exactly what Abbotsford needed!!

Good food.. Does anybody else notice that the last nine or so comments are all on the same day? Looks like the staff is revamping their image. Personally I liked the place though it is warm and welcoming, our waitress was great and accommodating, but I would have to agree with the fact that some, not all waitresses are showing a little too much boob. The food is good and affordable too!

"The" place to go in Abbotsford. Was very exited to try townhall, finally a place you can sit down In Abbotsford and feel like you are somewhere else. Was served very professionally by a good looking waitress who knew her stuff. Had a couple different craft beer which were fantastic and my Gf had a apple cider I believe called somersby it was incredibly refreshing and would defiantly recommend it. Can't wait for another Townhall experience. Great job to the Management, much respect.

First experience. I came in on saturday night with some friends and was very impressed! I ordered the perogies which were to do for, served on gravy and with chorizo! We mainly went in to check out what they have on tap and didn't even really realize how impressive the craft beer line up is. My friends and I will definitely be coming in until we get to try majority of the craft beers, it's nice to have a place where it is a good environment to enjoy some unique beers with friends. Also our server was awesome! Even though it was busy she still took time to get to know everyone at our table and make our first experience extra enjoyable. All in all a place where I will be spending lots of time in the future!

This place is just amazing the food is excellent, the brunch on the weekends is cheap and really good !!!!!! A bunch of friends and I went in and has outstanding service it was quick , friendly and the food was tasty. A much needed change from the place it use to be !!!!! Congrats to townhall for doing an amazing job word gets around you guys are doing great !!!!!!

Fantastic! A few friends and I went in on a Friday night for dinner and we were quite pleased with our meals. The prices were exceptionally reasonable, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the beer selection is impressive to say the least! We will definitely be back again! (Oh and the deep fried pickles are phenomenal!)

All around amazing experience!. I loved every bit of my visit to Townhall Public House. Not only is the food absolutely delicious and fairly priced, the staff is exceptional! I was greeted by four different (smiling) waitresses as soon as I walked in the door, and had menus within moments of sitting down. They have the best craft beer selection I've seen in ages and are very knowledgable when it comes to both their menu and drink list. I loved the friendliness of the servers and how efficient the staff was in helping clear tables and greet and chat with guests, along with the manager who approached our table and ensured that everything was up to par. The restaurant was extremely busy, but the atmosphere was great and relaxing and the servers handled themselves wonderfully. I will definitely be back next weekend for their 4$ brunch and another lovely experience! Great job!

Good beer, thats about it.. Great place to go if you are a 20 year old guy or any man for that instance! I feel offended as a woman to be in an establishment that lets their servers sell their body for tips and some of the servers don't know how to smile and look miserable when working. The manger sits around and isn't friendly with any of the customers and the food is what you get for the amount of money you spend on it, their selection of craft beers is great but that's about it.

Game night. Loud. Hungry. Decided on the most unusual appy I've seen (deep fried dill pickles). The shell was crispy and not at all greasy; the pickle was a pickle without being overwhelming. Had a craving for a burger, so tried to put down a Loaded Prime Rib burger. Nearly didn't make it (even after removing a few ingredients). The salad was incredibly tasty as well. I'm not one for fruit in a leafy green salad, but this is the exception. Watermelon, cranberries no cherries pair well with the bitter greens and raspberry vinaigrette. Had to sample dessert. The sticky toffee pudding totally rocked it, rich but not cloying. The only complaint I would have with it is "Quit cheaping out on the ice cream!! Ice milk don't cut it, management!" Kayla is a foodie-girl's dream server, knowledgeable and fun to talk with. Keep up the good work, K!! ll be back.
