Review Little Japan Restaurant - Abbotsford

One of my favourite places for Hae-Dop Bap. Which translated literally means “raw fish on rice”.

Food was really fresh and tasted great. The portion of the sushi roll and chicken teriyaki were huge while the tuna sashimi was a decent size. Fair price and clean place.

We stopped here for a snack not expecting much, but were pleasantly surprised! The sushi was really creative and had some ingredients I’ve never had on sushi before. The staff was really nice and the service was fast. A nice little spot that competes with other middle tier sushi restaurants in Cancouver.

I feel like their quality has been going downhill in the last year. I used to love coming here, but lately the fish they use has been tasting gross, and the rice has been soggy or mushy. I ordered today and can barely finish this because the food is just not good.

love this place!! all staff were really kind, and the food tasted amazing! the rolls were big amd stuffed full, and the pricing was fantastic, got so much for such a low price. worth a visit!

Really tasty food The fried sushi was quite good and the beef udon was a good helping and tasty.. not too salty! Excellent prices too! Was able to pre-order the food online and tell them a time that we wanted it ready and it was very fresh.

Hidden gem!! This place is amazing. We aren’t normally in Abbotsford and we came checked Google for the nearest sushi spot. Walked in around 2:30, didn’t think too much of it. Food arrived for 3 ppl and everything we ate was amazing!! Even down to the miso soup! I eat sushi daily and this place is great!

Worst California rolls I've had. The rolls fall apart. Had the beef teriyaki to go. Ate it right away when I got home. The bag was soaked cause it wasn't sealed properly, worst teriyaki I've had. Beef quality was really low definitely not fresh. They were really friendly though with big smiles which is why I give it 2 stars.

Absolutely amazing! We moved here recently from North Van where good sushi places are everywhere, but this place takes the cake. The avocado cucumber roll was to die for. Prawn tempura was top notch. Spicy mayo was perfect. Salmon and Tuna Rolls were high quality. Overall a great experience. This will be our new go to sushi place in Abbotsford.

Took almost 15 minutes just to get a menu. When the food finally arrived, The sashimi and nigiri was so warm it felt like it had sat out in the sun all day. When I go for 'Japanese' I don't get California rolls, I get actual sushi. As I can safety say I will never be coming back. I am so sick right now I can't remember the last time I felt this awful. The fish was most definitely off. No question. If you like rolls, go to town, if you want to go home and throw up, enjoy the sashimi :/

Pretty good sushi, not the best not the worst, but at the end of the day it gets the job done. Portions were enough for the cost, but my only concern was the rice used for the rolls. The grains seem to be longer and use far less than usual. This kind of left a lot of empty space within the roll which annoyed me a little bit. All in all though, a solid 3.5/5

Best sushi place in Abby!! Now no need to go far to Vancouver again to eat delicious sushi. Good food, good service. I really LOVE their Spicy Salmon Sashimi😋so fresh! And the price also reasonable. Surely will come back here if i want to eat sushi/sashimi.

This is clearly one of the best sushi joints ever I have been to. The attention to detail and cleanliness is second to none. Very innovative special rolls; have you ever heard of horseradish or capers on a sushi roll?!

Best sushi in Abbotsford, comparable even with restaurants in Vancouver. Service is friendly and typical of sushi joints. Always busy during lunch hour. Parking and seating is limited so be quick to snag a spot if you want in.

Best sushi in town. Food is deliciouse and they have excellent service!! I go there twice a week and its always good. My favorite restaurant ever do not compare to any other sushi restaurants.

Worst Service Ever!!!!. Came into to Little Japan today just before the dinner rush and ordered a few rolls and some tempura. The appetizer came out quickly but after that they just forgot about us. After 50 minutes of waiting we still hadn't gotten our food and the waiter just walked away without giving an answer when we asked how much longer it was going to be. We finally gave up and left. Horrendous service considering we were the only people in the restaurant when our order was placed.

Hands down some of the best sushi I've ever had in BC. This is a hidden diamond! Wow! Huge portions, great service, inventive rolls, and delightful flavors.

My partner and I love this place. It's close to UFV (the reason we live here) and its our take out and dine in choice of sushi. The food is always great and so fresh. Decor is great in a small sized restaurant. Not really a family eating spot, but for couples and/or groups of adults it's excellent. Price is very good and service is always friendly. Please visit this hidden little gem.

Sashimi portions are huge, probably triple the size of some chintzier places I've been! Great food, pretty good service, always über fresh. Owner will occasionally send out a complimentary roll, etc if he hasn't seen us for awhile. Parking can be bad though as its a little strip mall.

Has become my Wednesday night sushi place absolutely delicious

Bad food limited, good service. Liimited menu, ordered dynamite roll and my ? crab or prawn I couldnt even tell was fishy and had hard flexible shell on it, never coming back

Amazing!!!. This place is amazing! i go at least once a week sometimes twice a week!! i really enjoy the sushi here and the service is great. its always busy for lunch and they are so qiuck and very helpful. i would suggest this resuraunt its sooo good

By far the best sushi and combos in Abbotsford. This would be a great spot in the middle of Vancouver, so for this to be in Abbotsford at the prices is a real hidden gem.

The Best Sushi in Abbotsford BC. My wife & I go there all the time to eat in or take out, Lunch or Dinner. We have tried sushi places and the rest in Abbotsford just do not compare. I you have not been there in several months they changed the set up for tables. The service is all most always top notch. I think we had one occasion when a new server was being run off their feet. It's our favorite for sushi, sashimi, and Japanese food. They have a Lunch Special menu as well, and if you are in a hurry, just phone ahead and it will be ready to pick up when you get there. The food is always fresh, the tea hot and the Sake is just an added bonus. Andy & his Crew really know what they are doing. You won't break the bank either, the prices rock as well.

Oh my gosh! Only the best sushi in town!! I refuse to eat anywhere else (and I DID try the rest, this IS the best by comparative study)!! Fresh, fast and filling with a huge helping of great service!

Amazing first time experience!. I went to Little Japan for sushi for the first time, it was absolutely amazing. I could not believe how delishious their food was, I had the combo box #1 and i shared the dynamite roll and rainbow roll with my friend. I love the food, as a first time eater of sushi i loved it all and the fish was fresh and has me begging for more. I can't wait to go there again!

Delicious food, Excellent service. One of my favorite restaurants of all time, I work at a high end Cafe and i preferred this food over work, even when i pay half the price, its just simple, clean, fresh and everything you can ask for. Service is great and Ive had no complaints.def A+++ places you need to check out!

Great dining experience!. Friendly owner and a comfortable environment are two things that heighten the taste and quality of the food. I feel when dining out it is about more than just the food... It is about the whole experience and this restaurant does not dissapoint!

Probably one of the best !!. Little Japan is one of the best, the portions are very good and its so cheap. This place is all about the fish with very littile filler like most places. The best is the salad with rice and sashimi and spicey sauce, its only 12 bucks and its huge.

Excellent sushi and Korean fare. Great tasting fish and wonderful melt-in-your mouth Bulgogi. Fast service! Just off the highway at Macallum road.
