Very good food! Love the decor and atmosphere. It was nice that they had some Vegan and Vegetarian options. We ordered the Potato Roll, Fried Mac n Cheese, Green Bowl, Vegan Mac n Cheese and got the cookie for dessert. Our server was very friendly - excellent service. We will definitely be going back.

A hidden gem! This is the perfect place for a fancy night out or a casual family dinner. We bring the kids during happy hour (it's currently from 3-6pm!) And are never disappointed by the variety of choices and delicious food. The atmosphere and decor here are perfect and keep the eye entertained. Cant wait to sit outside this summer in the cool looking domes. The extra special table-side made nitro ice cream is the ultimate sharing dessert. We bring the kids and our friends here especially for it! Hands down an amazing dessert experience. Try it out!

The decore is very cool, and the servers are great! The food on the other hand is sub par at best. We had the pull apart bread and it had zero flavour. My boyfriend had the chop seafood salad and described it as mayo with water and canned shrimp. I had the steak with mash and broccolini. It was okay. Nothing spectacular. For the price and the hype I was expecting more.

The staff (Nate specifically) are exceptionally accommodating and friendly. The drinks are wonderful and the tableside Margarita service is a delight to watch! Live music is pleasant and fitting for the time of day and atmosphere. If you are deciding between here and cactus club... You should choose here.

Tried their brunch and I wasn't disappointed! Decently sized menu, great tasting food and cheap brunch drinks! I will have to be back to try their happy hour menu.

Very nice restaurant. We live the happy hour menu. Friendly staff. Awesome nitrogen ice cream.

Don't waste your time ordering their charcuterie. You get what looks like leftovers thrown in a box (and it takes them over 45 minutes to throw this pathetic array in a box) and charged $62 for it. Plus what they call biltong is some sort of dried sausage. Not the same thing. This was the first time I ordered from this place and it will absolutely be my last. There are places that actually give you value for money and food that is actually what it is advertised to be for half the cost. What a rip off.

I like the restaurant and the food! I'm not sure why they play the music so loud when people go to eat and converse. Had to converse when you can barely hear the person next to you. The service was slow yet our server was friendly and pleasant. There is parking out front of the restaurant yet I suggest parking below and just walking around to the entrance. The hostesses at the entrance weren't exactly the friendliest or even greet me when I came in. Customer service is key for success and it didn't really present itself here.

Where do I start. My wife and I have tried for months to get a reservation and always told nothing available. Tonight I decide to try just by myself. Seated on the patio in 5 minutes. Not bad. Downhill from there. 15 minutes for a drink order to be taken. The most tasteless oysters I've ever had to start. I decide still to try the wagyu beef with a lobster tail. Ordered rare. It arrives and the beef is medium at best. The lobster is flavorless. Now I have never had wagyu beef so I dont really know how it should taste but if you have ever driven through the country and smelled a pig farm my "steak" tasted like a pig farm smells. In all fairness the waiter did ask if I wanted something else but with how long I'd already waited I figured cut my losses and just eat it. Even the butter for the lobster couldn't help it. Salt and pepper might have but sadly my table didn't have any. The asparagus was great. The sauce was awesome but for the side in a $60 entree (wagyu beef and lobster tail) it should be awesome. I'm across the street now at Abbey road with an order of garlic bread trying to kill the taste of the wagyu beef. Like I say I've never had wagyu so maybe it's supposed to taste that way but the lobster.... I fly lobster in from the east coast. I've never had such flavorless lobster in my life than at S&L. The only good thing about dining there was that my wife was not with me to experience it. Will not go back.....

The service was great but the food was not on point! My steak and Mashed potatos were flavorless. And the Caesar salad had way to much lemon!! The portion were very small considering your prices. And the music was beyod loud. I wouldn't reccomend this place tho anyone and I won't be going back.

I went there last night for my birthday and I had 16 people under reservations. We went at 7pm and it was very busy but the staff and servers were amazing. Always checked in with us & made sure everything was good. Drinks came super fast. We did the 3 course meal which was delicious. I got the oysters (they were so fresh and tasty) and my boyfriend got the lobster chowder (highly recommended so good!). For my entree I got the carrot ravioli I think it was and added scallops and it was unreal! It was sweet but perfect. My boyfriend got the chicken and the chicken had so much flavour and was so juicy and then for dessert we got the cookie and creme brûlée which were both amazing! The cookie is to die for! The servers kept checking in with us, never had to wait for drinks. For as busy as it was everything came fast. Thank you to everyone at S&L, I had an amazing birthday!

I had the pleasure of enjoying a great steak and lobster meal tonight. I haven't had a meal that with every bite you took the flavours came through so enjoyable. The staff were excited and smiles on there faces! I would recommend this place to all my family and friends!

Great atmosphere, even better food. Service was on point and even got a free desert for my birthday. Will definitely be back and highly recommend especially for special occasions 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We've been a handful of times now. I'll say this first, their chicken burger is delicious. However, that's about all I've found to exceed my expectations off of the menu. The mac and cheese bites need to go, they're waygu was cooked perfectly but was seasoned horribly; the lobster linguini was pretty good, again lacked in seasoning; master chicken needed a sauce - though the chicken was cooked perfectly. Drinks are generally pretty good - service has been pretty mediocre. Last night for example we had a young lady who forgot ... a lot. We didn't get drinks for about 15 mins after being seated, she Didn't bring one lady's appi with the rest of ours, we let her know next time she was around said we would still like it before the meal - still never came. Forgot drinks, sauces etc. She was nice and apologetic but it was still a let down.

Went in tonight for my husbands Birthday dinner The amibiance was a little funky....my husband thought it was strange....I kinda liked that it was not cookie cutter. The service was ok, a couple minor issues, lipstick on a wine glass which was rectified with an apology when pointed out. They did not have the beer my husband ordered so they brought him a different one ...turns out there was an old drinks menu on the table...again a sincere apology and he liked the beer they brought so no harm. He had the wagu steak and I had the sable fish. My dish was very good, but 1/2 way though all the seasoning and rich sauce just started to overwhelm. The wagu was VERY over seasoned...the star on the plate was the brussel sprouts....the mushrooms don't even meritt mention. It was a very long wait to get and then pay the bill. I finally asked, I am guessing the manager, if I could pay him. For the $100 price tag for two I will likely look elsewhere for my birthday in June.

Great food, fantastic and knowledgable staff - even live entertainment one of my top 3 favorite places in Abbotsford.

First experience at S&L last night. When we first walked in I thought the ambiance was a little weird, the floor looks like something in a 50s diner (to me). We had a 45 minute wait for our table but enjoyed really great drinks at the bar while we waited. We both ordered the steak frites and were both wowed. Loved the peppercorn sauce and the Caesar salad was excellent! Really liked the roaming bartender that came by with his cart and post dinner drinks. The staff was very nice and engaging as well. We'll be back

We were disappointed with our meals plus over priced. The atmosphere was very nice and so was the hostess and our waitress. Unfortunately my husbands crispy chicken (sandwich) was burnt, my sons salad had way too much dressing and very tiny for $13 but I enjoyed my chicken and Brie sandwich. 😊 Just don't know if it's worth going back.

Great spot! Satisfying for diners & imbibers and friendly service. Our server Sumner was superb through the busy night. A choice spot before the Santana concert. Will be back 👌

This past Mother’s Day, I made my first ever visit to S + L Kitchen + Bar, a modern steakhouse owned by the Joseph Richard Group.  One of the unique aspects of S + L is that celebrity chefs crafted the menus: Top Chef Canada winner Matthew Stowe and MasterChef Canada champion David Jorge (both from the Lower Mainland) had teamed up on the menu design.  S + L brings a casual, upscale dining experience to the Fraser Valley with locations in Surrey, Abbotsford and Langley.  On this occasion, we visited the Abbotsford location.

This is a cool, casual place to eat. They have some great appetizers, especially the Brussel sprouts. Service has always been pretty good. I've always been happy with my meal, however on my last visit The ling cod was very disappointing.

Fantastic experience purchasing the Valentine's Day special menu. Everything was cooked to perfection (maybe my girlfriend and I was really hungry). The lamb popsicles were so tender and juicy, it worked so well with the garlic aioli. The lobster chowder was delicious with huge chunks of prawns and lobster. The Wagyu steak the main course, the big daddy was cooked to perfection with maybe thyme and butter? It was orgasmic! Our beautiful Server kept checking back with us and were making sure the food we had was up to our own standards and made sure we had plenty of water. Came out to just below 200$ with drinks and tips def worth it!

I love this place. My younger sister is one of the cooks here and is apprenticing for her red seal.. (so proud) I've been a few times with my parents and daughter. The food and atmosphere are amazing. I HIGHLY recommend the mushroom medley as a side and the creme brûlée for desert. Last time we went my parents and I were accepted into the knife club. For those who don't know they have a knife club for patrons who visit often. Once in the club they engrave your name on your own personal steak knife for you to use when dining. All the steak knives of club members are displayed in the wall in a cabinet ☺.. they also have a liquor club where they will keep a bottle of your drink of choice in a cabinet. (I've yet to accepted in this club) can't wait till my next visit. ** we have a reservation for Valentine's Day! Can't wait** I highly recommend. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly.
