Review Paliotti's Italian Restaurants - Abbotsford

Priyanka Kaul
I love coming to this restaurant. The food is delicious and service is amazing. There's is large selection of dishes to pick from and portion sizes big. They also have an outdoor sitting area which is so great during the summer. They are busy and so I highly recommend making reservations.

The food is absolutely amazing, so flavourful and you get your money's worth. Great dining atmosphere and excellent service from our waiter Niharika. If you're looking for a place to eat in Abbotsford, you MUST try Paliotti's!

The restaurant is large, clean, with plenty of well dress polite staff. I had/ enjoyed the chicken and sausage ravioli it was spectacular. My 2 companions enjoyed the chicken fettuccine palliotti and said it was also amazing. Will be back to try more in the near future. My personal review would give it a 4.8 out of 5.

It was definitely a nice place. We had a group of 8 people and made a reservation. We had a fun time, the service however was a little slow. The drinks menu honestly had many options, and we ordered about 6/7 different ones but none of them were upto the mark. The taste was not that great! The food was however really good. The portion size was quite big even the one for kids. We ordered vegetarian raviolli - which was yumm! Ordered some cajun pastas which they said would be spicy but not really. None of us were able to finish their portion. The breads were good too. They even had the gluten free bread option which I liked. They do have gluten free pasta for substitute if anyone likes. I do believe they have one for pizza as well, can't recall. Overall, we all had a good time, the one star less is for the slow service and not so great drinks.

Service was good, but could've been a bit more present at our table to be deemed perfect. Food was EXCELLENT, fresh ingredients, well presented, seafood was cooked in my linguine 'just right!' Our Birthday girl got complimentary dessert which I think is a sweet touch. Sorry no pics of main meal, we were just too excited to eat. We will happily come back 🤗

Great dining experience. Handled my daughters allergy extremely well and the food was amazing.

The only reason for the 1 star is because the food is good. My wife loves the food. Service is horrible. We've come to expect long, long, waits.Today we ordered to go. My wife loves a specific dish because of the baked cheese she pays extra for. We waited the 60 minutes, got home, my wife's dish was plain pasta. She called. Another 40 minute wait or they will give us 5.00 credit for the cheese. What a joke. By this time its been 1 hour and 35 minutes since ordering, and they can't do better than 45 minutes because the in restaurant customers come first. And if we pick the credit of 5.00 for next time that covers the cheese she was missing, but we already tipped the kitchen, doesnt do anything to make up for the poor experience, not getting the dish we ordered, or even the gas to come down. Do better. Take care of your customers better.

I ordered dinner through skip the dishes. My food came spilt in the bag. The chicken in my chicken alfredo tastes like the flavors of a fridge. The Alfredo sauce does not taste like alfredo. Needless to say myself and my children were extremely disappointed in tonight's supper. If we were dining in the restaurant I would have asked for a refund.

Loving the new Chilliwack location! The food has always been on point & service always friendly in Abbotsford but we live in Chilliwack so it's nice to be able to just drive into town! My husband is a 28 yr red seal executive chef & always loves your food as well! Thanks for coming out to the 'Wack'!

Worst dining experience ever! Was told there would be a 20 minute wait (arrived at 5:30) didn't get seated till 6:40..we didn't get our meals until 7:45 And the wrong meal was brought out which we then had to wait even longer to eat. We didn't leave the restaurant until 8:45. We tried to speak to the owner and she wouldn't speak to us and avoided it when we asked for the 2nd time to speak to her. The server was kind enough to give us one meal for free but definitely did not make up for the awful service.

First visit to Palliotti's late in December and we've already been back. Both times we were lucky with both great food and service. I think it depends on the server as we saw the table next to us didn't have the same top notch experience. We'll be sure to request Hayley's section when we return!

We've been coming here for many years. Not regulars but for special occasions. The last 3 times we've been it had steadily declined in service and food quality. We used to love your bruscetta, last night it was like some odd little pizza with very little more than cheese on it. The pasta the last 2 times we've been there was way overcooked and mushy. The worst part though has been the service. Extremely slow. Last night it was clumsy as well. We sat first at the bar while we waited for a table. The bartender spilled my wine while pouring it and all that was said was "I'm having the worst day". It took at least an hour for our meals to arrive as well. The only thing keeping this from being a 1 star is the food has been decent aside from the pasta being so overcooked. After 12 years of visiting paliotti's I doubt we will be back. For the prices there are better restaurants in Abbotsford.

Went there tonight for our anniversary the food was good but the service was terrible totally ruined our night. Seems to be a lot of staff doing nothing and the ones who are trying have no idea what they are doing. Server who took our drink order took them to a different table, after we ordered our meal no bread came we had to request it, drinks took forever to come the first time and the entire time we were there only had one drink they couldn't even refill my pop after asking, then our server took our food to a different table twice before finally getting it to us, and then when she did she couldn't even recognize what she was serving me and called it the wrong thing. I wanted to order dessert but dare not take the chance and just got the hell out. I doubt we will be back which is to bad because the food tastes good, but we just can't get paste the horrible service. The Manager asked how it was as we we're walking out the door i told her the service was very poor. But why not come ask us before we paid our bill to try to correct it and win our business back. Really unfortunate.

Very busy so an hour wait for food but well worth it. Friendly staff and excellent food.

Amazing Early bird Specials!!! I had the wild salmon on penne and my daughter had it on rice. Incredible price and wonderful meal. For us it was enough for two meals each!! I'd definitely go back.

Paliotti's served our wedding quests and did a great job. Joe and his wife saw that our wedding dinner went as smooth as possible and the food was awesome. I would recommend Paliotti's to anyone who wants good service and tasty food.

Just used the Skip the Dishes service and ordered from Paliotti's. WOW. The food was beyond delicious. We ordered Pasta and Pizza. When it was delivered it was still hot. The pasta portions are huge and the prices are just right. Will be ordering again. I give it 10 thumbs up!

Absolutely amazing food, wine, service, and layout. Could not fault this place and will definitely be back again

Four of us went to Paliotti’s for dinner. Korina was our waitress. We waited 2 hours for our dinner to arrive so the service is terrible. No management to speak of. Our only option was not to leave any tip.
Patrickharoldson
Food is amazing, Price is not bad but the staff is rude and tries to rush you through your meal. Took a long time to be seated even though there were many tables available. I would take a first date there if I felt like looking like a rich douche, because that is the atmosphere they portray.
Courtney Megan
Worst restaurant experience. Waited forever at the front even though we had a reservation. When seated, after ordering it took an hour for our food to arrive. There was no apologies by management or compensation for our meal. Now, missing our movie plans, we left very unsatisfied.

Our family went to Paliotti's for Fathers Day dinner. The restaurant was amazing. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. We all took home doggy bags. I had the charbroiled chicken with a side Caesar and sautéed veggies.. unlike most restaurants the veggies were actually fresh and had a crunch to them.. not one person was upset with their meal and we were a large group.. Our waiter was excellent he is one of the owners. It was his first Fathers Day as a father he brought his very cute son to the table to show him off 😊 he was very attentive never forgot to bring anything to the table we had asked for despite how busy it was. I definitely recommend this place perfect setting for an intimate meal or large group of people..

Me and my fiance went to this establishment and was looking forward to trying a place in abbotsford with authentic italian food which was not what we got.the food had no flavor tasted like it was from a can. I had the lasagna expecting something spectacular and it tasted like a frozen lasagna from walmart. Absolutely horrible but that wasnt even the worst part about the place my order was a 10 oz new york steak with upgraded lasagna as the side the menu says right on it steak with mushroom and onion on it. Came without mushroom or onion so I call the server over and ask about it and he told the kitchen and brought raw onion with "sauteed" mushroom. Well the mushroom tasted not cooked and out of a can and in addition whilst there we noticed the servers sitting at the bar were drinking (which to me is no way to conduct a good establishment) honestly when I walked in I said everyone here is drunk because of actions I had seen coming in but to sit and try to have dinner while I am watching my server so drunk at other tables swaying around I asked for my food to go as i could not take it anymore. I even asked him to try the shit he served us which he did no problem probably because he wanted something to soak up the alcohol. I would not recommend this place to anybody we are really disappointed, cool little place but no recommendations for kids or any form of family due to the unsafe and drunk staff not to mention food. "My experience" we are both cooks from high end establishments also my fiance advised me against going here and wish i would have listened.

My wife and I have been to the abbotsford location a few times and for the most part it is great food and great service. Once we came in after work and were dressed casually (not grungy just not done up) and were treated like we came from the tent park next door. Then we found a dirty hair in my wife's pasta. They were quick to correct the situation to our satisfaction when the manager recognized us as regular patrons, but this experience definitely brought their rating down for this review. Since then, under similar circumstances, this has not happened again.

It was the best of times and it was the worst at times. The last time we went here, there was no order as to who was actually our server. One would do the drinks, another taking our food order, someone else bringing out the bread, a fourth person brought out our main dishes. When we left the staff didn't say anything to us, not a 'bye,' not 'have a good day,' not even a 'boo.' Other times everything was good between the service and food. Just hit and miss

i am critical and opinionated, so i rarely give over 3 stars (this place is 4.5 stars) and i always have something to complain about, but all i can say is: clean restaurant, great service, excellent food, at reasonable prices. they always serve a delicious fresh in house baked bread and a olive/balsamic to dip into. i am a big guy and i always leave feeling full. i will certainly be eating here again... and again... (Abbotsford Location)

i like spicy hot food and the first few times they were very afraid to make it as spicy as i asked, but after several visits they kept increasing the spiciness and now they make it exactly as i like it.
the only constructive criticism i can make is... Please place some chili flakes in a pepper grinder and offer that to those that want extra spice. chili flakes either need to be cooked into food, or placed in a pepper grinder to crack open the pepper seeds... this is done for 2 reasons:
1) to allow the spicy oil in the seed to be tasted, this way fewer chili flakes are required to achieve a certain level of spiciness,
2) it is gentler on the intestine because the stomach acids can work on the flakes rather than letting the unopened seeds release their spicy oil inside the intestine.

This place sucks they serve olive oil and balsamic with bread and it's not even real balsamic it's a red wine vinegar they say they have Parmigiano cheese, it's not it's fake parmesan. The pasta is grouse way over Cooper and the Alfredo seduce in my pasta was a soup. This place SUCKS my 8 year old daughter can cook better than this .

Come on guys all you have to do show a little love, it's Italian food real cheese is a must
Fresh past is a MUST FOR A ITALIAN PASTA JOINT. Even my wife Gnocchi we're not homemade!! come on I can whip up a batch of Gnocchi in half-an-hour feeds 10 people and I can freeze it for the next day or two or three come on!!!!!

I hope the people of Paliottis read this and improve that's what this post was intended for.

Remember real balsamic real cheese fresh pasta get it right
I took my mom here for mother's day. She ordered the chicken neptune and I ordered the mixed grill and we decided to share the zucchini sticks as an appy. Then we waited. ...and waited, and waited, annnnd waited. After almost an hour the bread and olive oil arrived. Thank god. we were starving! Our entres arrived shortly after and about 15 minutes later we got our appetizer.

As far as the food goes my mom enjoyed hers. Which is good. The "lamb" was mutton, no doubt. Overcooked and dry too. The chicken followed suit. At least they're consistent!! The steak I ordered rare, so it turned out great. I got the pasta with cream sauce on the side with vegetables. The vegetables were perfect.. the cream sauce was flavorless and the pasta was no better than the cheap no name stuff at the grocery store. We finally asked for our bill and it was labeled as a table of four and had four entrees on it, none of which being anything we ordered.

I believe there are some serious management issues at this establishment. The service, friendly as it was, was slow as hell, and the food was messed up. I don't think I will blame the kitchen staff or servers fully for this. I think there's a serious lack of teamwork, coordination, leadership, and training here. I think the owner and or manager is a moron. The woman who I assume was the Manger had herself doing the simplest hostessing tasks while the young and poorly trained servers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to find some source of direction while the under qualified cooks did their best to make quality meals with little or no training. I will not waste my TIME or money here ever again. This place is a joke. I'm just happy my mom enjoyed her food or I would have refused to pay all together.

You suck, Paliotti's. At everything.
Food Adventuress
I walked out on a dinner here since I don't think waiting for your food for 1 hour and 30 min is acceptable. I don't even know how we were able to wait that long. Also to top it off have the bartender pose as the manager offering alcohol shots as an apology and 10% off coupons seriously? You should be courteous to your customers and let them know that you are having delays in the kitchen and give them an option, not keep seating people and only feeding some of them. Terrible.
Coralie Rose
Not a fan of Paliotti's.

First, The food took an hour to reach our table. You get bread with balsamic and olive oil while you wait, which is really good, but an hour for four dishes is unreasonable. Then, within a span of 10 minutes, my friend found a long hair in her food and my husband found- wait for it- dried tile grout in his. Actual grout. We didn't see a manager at any point, we were given half off each sullied dish and 2 10% off coupons, but we should have received both dinners for free and even a free dessert.

To make matters worse, our server seemed mentally checked-out. She barely made eye contact with us while she was there, and ended our time by saying something like "sorry again for everything". I say "something like" because it was more like a mutter. And lastly, after looking at their facebook page as I considered posting a negative review there, I soon came across a Paliotti's employee by the same first name as our server responding to a complaint there. Her last name is Paliotti.

My husband and I won't be going back.

I've been to Italy, and this place serves better food then what I got over seas! Seriously the best gnocchi I have ever eaten!! Tastes like they have great grandma cooking in the back. Don't think you've had focaccia until you try it here!
Vancity
Food was really good! I Dont know why this place only has 3 stars. Service was superb and friendly. Nice looking place as well. I would definitely go back there!

Delicious Italian Food. I have been here many times after living in Abbotsford, and I cannot say enough good things about it. Every time that I have dined here the service, food, and ambience has all been impeccable. It is a busy spot and their parking is a bit limited at times, but the wait is worth it. The Maple Ridge location does not do their name justice, definitely go to Abbotsford.
Zachary_hunter
Terrible. Took 10 minutes for any staff to even ask to seat us. 1 hr to get food, didn't get water refilled. all employees standing and talking and not serving or smiling horrible place hope it falls.

Best Italian Place Abbotsford has to offer. Pastas are made in-house; sauces and selections are amazing.
Good liquor selection, good atmosphere and while service can sometimes be spotty, their staff is friendly and will help anyway they can.

Long wait for mediocre food. Pallioti's used to be one of our favourite restaraunts but now the staff can be less than cordial and the manager is completely rude. Gave out wine because people were waiting so long and it took us about 2 hours to get a seat, food took another hour. Worst experience I have had at a restaraunt. Will not be going back.
Ohh yeah, this is the second time it happened like this

Enjoyed our meal. We went to Paliotti's for a birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The appies we ordered were the deep fried zucchini sticks and also an order of dry ribs. Both were freshly made and very well seasoned and definitely not out of a box. Our main meals were all enjoyable and the service was very good. After the dinner, a slice of cheese cake was brought over for the birthday girl and it was so good as well. Definitely would go back again.

Meat from The Farm of Miniatures. At Paliotti;s for a party tonight.... the service was slow... and my meal could well have been an appetizer platter. Perhaps if I had been drinking alcoholic beverages, I would have had more than two coffees in the two hours plus that we were in the restaurant. When I asked the waitress if the Mixed Grill was a large serving, she told me that ALL their meals were huge portions. When I received my meal I was unsure where her opinion came from..... I know that there is a "House of Miniatures" in Victoria... Maybe there is a "Farm of Miniatures" as well.
My lamb chop was a bite... my chicken was two bites... and my steak after tearing it apart was three small bites. My neighbor had a steak knife for his veal and I was very tempted to use my pocketknife to cut my steak. As accompaniment for my meal there was three - four tablespoons of pasta in a rose sauce, a slice and a half of a roasted potato, and some vegetables that included zucchini, celery, a couple of carrot slices and a single broccoli floret. After hearing my fellow diners laughing at the pathetic portions of meat on my plate, the waitress asked what could be done. To make up for my dissatisfaction, she brought me a serving of a cup of penne in the same boring rose sauce. My coffee cup that was empty after our appetizer, through the waiting period for all meals to be prepared, was still empty after I finished my "meal". Fortunately for me, my lady did not finish her meal so her leftovers brought me to a somewhat appeased level.
I will NOT be recommending Paliotti's to anybody who asks.

Our first time here after go ogling 'best restaurants in Abbotsford'! I must say we are very happy to have found this place :) read some reviews here first & was a tad put off but I am glad we decided to try it anyway! Sunday evening at 7 ish & we were seated quickly but the place is busy! All of our servers we lovely smiling young ladies who were very attentive! I love pesto so I orders a meatless dish with pasta & pesto & it was soooo good! The complimentary bread they serve with olive oil & balsamic is so yummy to! We used their online coupon on their website & the bill was only $30! We will come here again for sure!!

Review of an awsome resturant. My family and friends have been going to paliottis ever since they opened there doors and
have never been disappointed in our food and yes the service can be a little slow but over all
its a great atmosphere and wonderful food. I find that any restaurant suck as the Bavaria, greek island,
ect. have there flaws to so if you cant give them a second chance that's to bad on your part. And with that beening said its of to Paliottis for dinner . HAPPY CANADA DAY EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

Really.... Really, NOT good!. After reading the reviews for this place..... which, I wish I read a little closer..... most had stated that generally, people loved this place, Wow...... where they ever wrong!! My Brother and I went on the assumtion of what do we have to loose, who can screw up Italian! Well this place can.... and very well at that too!. Poor service, poor quality food. One of the worst Ceasar salads I have ever eaten ..... soggy, oily and incredably salty.... no zip at all, flat! we knew right then, that we were in the wrong place. Our mains arrived I had Chicken Parm my bro had Fettuccine with meatballs and sausage. I had asked for Carbanara sauce but I was told that there cream sauce was very simular... which of course is was NOT.... Flavourless oily mess, un edible, one bite was more then enough for me... I didnt eat all my Parm either, It was so so at best... no sauce, dry as hell and yup, you guessed it, geasy, flavourless, kinda gross. Bro's meatballs were boil in a bag balls, need I say more, my dog didnt even eat them. Do your self a favour and stay away from this place and go to Antonio's up the road.

Great Lunch with Mom. My husband and I took my 90+ mother for lunch here today. It was excellent. They had a 2-3 person salad for $5.95. Your choice of ceasar or green we chose the green salad it was dressed with red wine vinegar and oil, it was enough for us to all have 2 bowls and had peppers, radicchio, red onions in it...very tasty They make their own foccaccio bread. We all chose the lunch special , your choice of pasta with sauce so penne with meat sauce, spaghettini with Alfredo and fettuccine with creamy pesto with nuts. We all enjoyed their correctly cooked pasta and sauces that were not too salty. The pasta was $9.95. We did order a pizza to go for dad and it looked super I will find out tomorrow how it was.
Our server was great and kept checking on us, but not obtrusively. We had the Celebration cake for desert and it was yummy. Great service and food and we did see the chef on the way out and he was very pleasant We will return as it is hard to find a decent ( nice) place for lunch that is not a chain restaurant.

It must be awful because nobody goes here...not. This place is consistently busy for a reason...the food is amazing. Never been to a place like this where if you dont see what it is you want exactly on the menu the staff and kitchen will accomadate your order...at no extra charge. All orders seem fresh and made to order. Most other resteraunts the owner or owners are in an office all night...if they are even there. This owner cooks in and controls his kitchen nightly. He puts his stamp of approval on every meal that leaves his kitchen. Got a kick when a mid 50s man emerges from his kitchen periodically covered in his work to make sure all of his customers are happy and to make sure the operation out front is being run ad well and with as much pride as his kitchen. This place is a gem...dont go though...nobody does because its to busy. Keep in mind to this restaurant does have a bar and lounge area where you can grab a drink and watch the game if you need to wait for a table. For all those who have waited its called a reservation. You cant just walk into a place like this and tables are readily available on a weekend. Its not a secret anymore...this is an excellent place to get a great meal at a very affordable price

Worst service in the world!!. This has got to be the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food was so-so but the service was terrible! By just walking into the restaurant there is a bad vibe and very unfriendly staff! Snooty young workers and bad hostess etiquette. Hopefully they step their game up. Never going back!
Burberry1986
NOT gluten-free nor friendly. First time going to this restaurant, and I was amazed at how many "gluten-free" options they had advertised online. The g-f bread was good, caesar salad was ok. Ordered g-f pasta, and felt full after 3 bites and felt it tasted funny. The waitress assured me it was gluten-free. I felt like throwing up 1 hour later, actually threw up my entire 3 bites, the salad and the bread 1.5 hours later on the side of the highway while going back home. I called the manager the next day to tell him his staff should be more diligent when it comes to serious allergies, and THE OWNER was so incredibly ignorant and told me maybe I'm allergic to seafood. He said he was g-f himself and his son made my pasta dish yesterday and said it was completely g-f. I wasn't looking for a refund and definitely would not be back for a free meal; just wanted to let him know of my terrible experience and that they should be more careful, and that thanks to them I'd be sick for the next few days. The owner called me back 10 minutes later and said he was very sorry and that he ordered a new “g-f pasta product” that contained wheat starch, so it wasn't gluten-free obviously. He wanted to give me a $50 gift certificate (the amount I paid for my meal the previous day), but I told him I would not be back. Terrible experience and would never go back and would recommend celiacs to stay away.

Great food, service so-so. Went here for a corporate party on Dec. 7th. Being gluten-free, I was a bit hesitant as most restaurants are terrible at providing GF options. Appetizers were delish (I had caesar salad, hubby had calamari). Quite obvious that all the dressings and sauces are hand made with fresh ingredients. Our entrees were also amazing, and the GF pasta was really delicious. Service was ok but not stellar.

One major hiccup was that apparently they had booked another large group to come in 3 hours after us and did not advise the organizer of our party. When the second group arrived, management basically tried to kick us out. Terrible planning/ communication from management and it made for a very uncomfortable situation. While I would return here for the food maybe for a date night, I would hesitate to book a large group or event.

Great food. Service meh. I love Paliotti's great pasta and steak, I always go back yet have only experienced good service once. I've had a waitress bring me the wrong dinner, get my order wrong, tell us to pay at 9:40 so she could cash out and close for 10, and the worst experience i've had is when our waitress spilled balsamic dressing on the table which i didnt notice (because i was turned the other way) nor did she inform me or clean it up so for a good duration of time balsamic dressing continued to drip onto my shirt and pants :@#$*. It's disappointing when good restaurants get stuck with a not so great staff

Slow Service. I went to Paliotti's for a birthday party. it was the worst service I've ever gotten. It took them over an hour to TAKE our order, then another two hours to bring us our food. One of my friends sent her meal back because it was disgusting, and yet was forced to pay for it because she had had a few of us sample the dish. She was charged full price. Another one of our group didn't get her meal for another half hour or so after the rest of us, and only when we told the wait staff that she never got her meal, and convinced them that we were not, in fact, lying. Tips were included in the bill so we had to pay them, and another tip was expected on top of that. Needless to say, none of us tipped over five cents. I would not recommend this place, nor will I be returning.

First and last time. I went to Paliotti's on a Friday night to order some food to go. This was a train wreck experience from the moment I walked in. The restaurant was not busy, yet I waited to be acknowledged. My husband and I sat at the bar to order a drink while we waited for our food. The bartender was out of lemoncello ( an Italian must have) and did not even know what it was. The bartender took our order as well but he had to come back and ask for again.... I then had to repeat my order for yet another person to ring it in. We were given bread but no napkins, plates or cutlery. While waiting I was then phoned by the hostess (who had demanded my phone number for take out when I walked in) she proceeded to tell me my order for four was ready. She was clueless that she had the wrong number and it took some explaining to inform her I was not that person. Aside from that, EVERY waitress was so unhygienic and unsanitary I was completely grossed out. Not a single girl had their hair up and all of them were playing with their hair, lips noses and even teeth! This view along with all the staff's beverages and tim hortons cups made it such an unappealing place. When our food finally arrived it was not to go like we had asked and had to be taken back to the kitchen where it was clearly dumped into a box like leftovers.

I could not believe how disgusting the staff were and how poorly trained they are. I will never go back there and even questioned how clean the kitchen staff was who made my food.

Still disappointed .... I keep giving this restaurant a chance and still I am disappointed. Ate there last night,. Calamari was tasteless , Caesar salad not much better. Music very annoying, looked around and the average age of clients must have been 50+
Music catered to servers I thought. Nice romantic Italian music would be much more soothing after a busy workday. This is my last time here.
Too bad because this place has potential. Maple Ridge location much better.

Dont get the pasta. Appetizers, mixed drinks and chicken was good though

Love the food. Every dish on the menu is amazing. The menu is easy to follow, and has unique dishes that you can have the imagination to create your own. They have everything you need there. Cheap drink specials, reasonable food prices, generous staff, fast food timing, and so forth. Resovations are ordered fair; Bookings on the weekend always works, as well as throughout the week. Paliottis also provides Gluten Free products. The product consists of gluten free bread, pasta sauces, noodles, and can work around any gluten free sensitivities. In conclusion, Paliottis has what the customer needs and has a satisfying experience.

Nice Lunch. Waitress was pleasant, went here for lunch and had great food- and great service. We will go back again for sure! :)

Redeemed?. I've had good food but horrible service here in the past so after reading more reviews on Urbanspoon, I decided tonight to order in and avoid the bad service part of this place! I had specifically asked whether a certain dish had capers because I wanted a dish with such. I was put on hold (twice) and the word was that YES, this dish DID indeed have capers. I went to pick it up, was offered a nice glass of ice water while I waited, and took my food home. No capers, just green onions. I called the restaurant and was put right thru to the female manager whom I know from previous visits/complaints there. She in turn put me through to the "real" manager who proceeded to tell me that nobody asked HIM or anyone else in the kitchen if there were capers. I told him that I didn't really care WHO the person talked to, but that I was specifically told wrong information AFTER CHECKING! He did, surprisedly, offer to re-make my meal WITH CAPERS and have it delivered to my house. I am anxiously awaiting to see if it arrives with or without capers (or perhaps with or without a big hork on the top!) Glad they offered this service but disappointed that nobody wants to take responsibility. Par for the course with the very poor service at this restaurant, obviously stemming from management and going down the line. I would not allow any of my teenagers to work at this restaurant.

Wow, simply Wow.. Things happen for a reason. My wife and I met 40 years ago this day and made a reservation to celebrate at another restaurant in Abbotsford, the seating was terrible so we decided to leave. We on a whim decided to stop at Paliottis in Abbotsford. They were full but were able to seat us. Wow is all I can say. The staff, menu, and food served was absolutely perfect in every way. A big thank you to Ricardo and Paliottis staff for making our Anniversary Dinner so special. We now have a favorite Restaurant that we will frequent.

Mediocre. It seems that everyone loves Paliotti's, and I just can't figure out why. The food is mediocre at best, and there just really isn't anything special. Very ho-hum.

Good Entrees!. I love the atmosphere of it, and of course the food!
I especially love their complementary bread :)

Had veal and alfredopasta. The taste is okay, but I wouldn't say delicious. For the price, the veal is way too thin it only looked big because the way it was cut and alfredo was just plain. I could make that if I wasn't lazy to make pasta. Prabably even better. Customer service was okay. Friendly.

Overall its too pricy for the food you get, taste isnt special and parking is a little bit uncomfortable. There is a small parking informt of the store and a large one seperatly by the side whoch they are not connected.... They should have just linked them together so it would be easy to park....I'd give 3/5.

This is my favourite restaurant in abbotsford. I love the food here. Its super amazing but the service is just horrible here. The waitresses r so irrogant and they just dont care about anything. i really hope that the owner/management does something about the service because the only reason i have gone there lately is the food. If the food was not as amazing as it is i would not go there cuz of the bad service!!

Absolutely horrible! This place used to be good but now would never go back. The fiancé ordered a pizza with no onions and green olives added. Showed up with no olives and onions everywhere. The waitress then proceeded to question us when we pointed it out. We had to argue to send it back. When the second pizza finally showed up it had kalamata olives. We complained again, the waitress made it very clear she didn't care and the manager instead of doing anything about it at first sent out a small bowl of green olives. We must have looked visibly upset because the manager finally came over and pretty much said "Well you're going to eat it right?" as in. We were still going to pay full price. In the end she "generously" have us $5 off of a $23 pizza we had to send back and they still didn't get right. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT DOESN'T CARE

Terrible service. Terrible food. Went with a group for a birthday party and had 4 different servers taking drink orders and food orders from all 3 tables. It was a gong show. Brought back drinks to the wrong table and instead of coming to our table, went back to the bar and ditched them there down the sink!! Had to tell her the drinks were for our table and she had to get them again. Food also brought to wrong people. One person ordered prime rib and one a sirloin. The server brough the sirloin to the person that ordered prime rib, and when he said I don't think this is mine, she said yes you ordered this and put it in front of him. So he just started eating it, then she came back when he was half way done the steak and told him she mixed them up and gave him his prime rib and gave the sirloin to the right person offering to get a new steak, all the sides were still there tho and cold. It was ridiculously bad service and the steaks weren't that great. I ordered baked crab canneloni. Again, terrible. Canned dry crab, stuffed in undercooked caneloni noodles, certainly premade and just put in an oven to bring it to me lukewarm. Horrible experience. Worst service I've had in a long time. Terrible food. Servers had no idea what was going on and it tasted like the kitchen didn't either. Ill never go there again and try to save anyone else from a very bad dining experience.

Good Food Terrible Service. I have been to Paliotti's several times and have never had good service. The food however is good and this is the reason up to now I have continued to go to this restaurant. Last night I had the worst service ever.....I tried to use a Paliotti's coupon and it turned out to be a huge ordeal. After finally being able to use the coupon they then over charged us on one of the meals. The manager was involved in this ordeal but what a waste of time she was. After half an hour trying to pay the bill my friend and I were fed up. We mentioned to the manager that the customer service is not good......and this whole ordeal was ridicules so what does she do....offers us a coupon. Sorry but the whole ordeal started over their coupons and Paliotti's coupons come in the mail and or paper almost every week. Although we did enjoy the food I will no longer go back to Paliotti's due to the service!

Good food. So have been to this restaurant a few times and have really enjoyed the food! The service on th other hand has been a bit of a challenge! The last two times it took a long a time to get a drink let alone the food but the last time a friend and I went to use a coupon for 50%off second meal which we gave to the waitress before we even ordered drinks and what an ordeal when the bill came! Let's just say the bill went back and forth and being charged wrong and the manager didn't do anything to make sure we were looked after! That was so disappointing it would make me avoid this restaraunt?

Frustrated. Well we are frequent patrons of Paliottis Used to go to the Mpl Rdg one and now we have been going to the Abbotsford location> I have found the food is awesome and if we get our server Chantelle it is a wonderful night ... Now that said they need to have a floor manager as Louise does not cut it. On my birthday we were told once that we would not need reservations just to come down as it was before 6 we would be there. What they forgot to tell us was the whole place was reserved by The Heat that night so they turned us away. Also the time before this we had reservations and someone didnt right them down so we once again were told it would be about an hour wait . Again we went elsewhere! There have been a few other things too and when i phoned and asked to talk to the manager i was given Louise. She said OOh how unfortunate we are sorry, and then after i politely pushed it she finally said she would make it up to me and that next time i came in to let her know. Well I did this which was not a comfortable thing to do and then all she did was send us each a shooter, on the house which our waitress was giving us anyways since she is such a great girl!!!!!!! Last night we went with another couple that had never been there and we had reservations. First of all we had to wait at the door for 15 minutes then we got put in a booth in the corner and got ignored apparently we didnt have a server! o yes i have to say we requested Chantelle when we phoned and were told no problem even though at the time she was off in Mexico for a week..... o well finally after another 20 minutes we got a server who noticed we were sitting there with nothing. so she took our food order and then i said can i order a drink . The food took 55 minutes . they kept bringing us more bread ( 3 orders) and saying 10 more minutes! Finally when we spoke up she said she would go find out what was happening, then 10 minutes later our food came out yes it was hot but definately not fresh! Reheated or sitting under a lamp for too long , this was not our waitresses fault as she was doing her best since it wasnt even her section . We asked to talk to the manager (louise) and were told she wasnt available she was in the back. So needless to say I guess unfortunately we will not be back as it was ridiculous and i know our friends will never go or recommend this place to anyone. I hate complaining and we did do this all with a smile on our face and didnt let it ruin the night Just disappointed and rrustrated as it could be a good place if managed proper

Will def. be going back!. My husband and I went here last night. It was a busy Friday night and we had to wait only a few minutes for a table. We were served water and bread pretty quickly. Our waiter was super busy but gave us perfectly acceptable service. Evonne was her name I think. She made sure we had a full bread basket and water glasses constantly! That's more then I can say for 90% of the restaurants we visit! We ordered right away because we could tell it might take a bit for our food. I think it took about 30 or 40 min for our food. Time went quickly, we had good drinks, and warm bread. I ordered the chicken Neptune and my husband ordered a baked tortellini with sausage. He said his was a bit spicy ( but he doesn't like spicy to begin with) but totally enjoyed it! My food was also good. A little different from chicken neptune at say... The keg. But I would eat it again. Also, we had huge portions of food! We each brought home half our meals and it looked likes everyone else we saw was doing the same. I look forward to going back to try other items on their menu.

Had a nice lunch mussels and clams in a garlic cream onion sauce with whit wine, obviously the chef made sure all were open before they went to the table Bread was excellent with the leftover sauce The veal shrimp piccata with veg and pasta in a rose sauce, pasta was so so but the rest excellent. French style sauces on Italian dishes a good fit
Mish
Horribly slow service, only got half our drink order , had three different servers helping us . Okay food

Decent food but nothing special. The lasagna is very good but the menu is really hit or miss. For Abbotsford it's definitely the best Italian restaurant here. Given the option of either liking it or disliking it was difficult. I'd go back but really if I didn't feel like cooking. 6.5/10

Great Food!. I have eaten at Paliotti's 4 times in the last year and each time though the steak I ordered was the best I ever had. Portions are generous and the all the food was terrific not just the steak. The prices were very competitive and I felt very good value for money. The service isn't perfect - we felt a bit rushed the last time we were there - they kept trying to clear plates before we were finished but overall would still say the service was ok.

Horrible service!!!!! I had a reservation for fifteen people and it took us almost three hours to get our food. I had to go find the waitress three times just to come over and take our drink order. Never again will I or the other fifteen people I was with, go back to this restaurant......on top of the three hour wait, they charged us an automatic fifteen percent gratuity for large parties....I think it should be up to the customer based on service

Love - Italian Style. From the moment we exited the parked vehicle in their parking lot, I knew we were in for a treat. The aroma of freshly roasted (not burned) garlic wafted through the air like the perfume of some culinary seductress.

We had arrived on the Saturday evening of a long weekend - about 5:30'ish - and the place was already buzzing. Within a minute or two, a young lady greeted us and sat us down at a table for four. Here is where I have the *only* negative comment - the numerous plants and vines hanging everywhere were cheap plastic - and for a moment, I was panicked.

The great service, however, started immediately as glasses of water were served and a drink order taken. Minutes later our drinks (which included the most authentic Tom Collins I have ever had in a restaurant) arrived, along with a complimentary focaccia bread and olive oil/balsamic platter. The bread was beautiful. Fresh, light and the thin crust lightly crispy with just a hint of salt. Delightful.

My guests lean more towards the seafood fare and so a variety of pastas were ordered - from mussels and linguini to a crab stuffed manicotti and seafood/penne dish. Myself, while I enjoy some seafood items prefer more pedestrian dishes - and so I ordered a Chicken Parmesan.

The dishes arrived with good speed (although long enough for us to devour another complimentary basket of bread and balsamic). The portion size was perfect - and perhaps even on the larger size of perfect. We all did our very best to inhale our food - each piece was just delicious - and much sharing over a variety of 'ooohs' and 'awwws' ensued.

I can honestly say this was the best Italian meal I have had in 25 years (that last at an Italian wedding). The breading on the Chicken Parmesan was perfect, the sauce rich with tomato and basil flavour. My wife (grudgingly) shared some Baked Crab Canneloni- also superb. A taste from our dining companion's Seafood Pesto Penne was inviting too - even for a non-seafood fan - as the flavour was fresh and not overwhelming.

At the end of the main course, we all agreed it was the best array of pasta dishes we had experienced in a very long time. (Oh - I did not mention the appetizers of meatballs we shared - also exquisite).

I should mention here too - that service never failed to keep our water topped off, and regularly asked how we were doing with our meals; all in a very unobtrusive and friendly manner.

One would think that after such a large meal we would be done for desert - however the glutteny continued with two of us ordering deserts, which we all shared. One a chocolate pecan pie that was light, but rich with pecan and chocolate goodness - as well as a strawberry-rhubarb pie with authentic whipped cream on both. (The pie was also very good - with a lovely crust and perfect mix of tart and sweet from the fruit).

What started out as a snap decision from the usual burger and nacho pub fare ended up being a dining experience which we will want to repeat over and over - and as a final note - this too was a pleasant surprise.... four of us with 2 appy's and two deserts, plus wine and a highball - well under $150.00... and as a final, final note - this factors in the price for what should have been a chargeable desert - but the good folks at Paliotti's - hearing that our dining companions were about to celebrate their anniversary - gave a complimentary desert...which in restrospect - seems like robbery - on our part.......

- R & A......

First off, if you "like" restaurants such as boston pizza and dragon fort, you probably should not be writing reviews about restaurants in the first place. That being said I have never had a bad meal at Paliotti's. Sure the service is slow and lackluster at times, but that is due to the abbottsford sense of entitelment that the kids all seem to have nowadays. On the food side of things, I have to say that I could eat the veal parm every day and die happy. Sure the menu could use a little slimming down, and some moddern italian dishes. But it does hit the oldschool nail pretty square on the head. So if you have had a bad experience, why not give it another go? Where else are ya gonna go? Spag fac.?

OMG! The best Italian food that You could have. Well, outside of MY kitchen! The veal! The steaks! The pasta! Everything is truly authentic.

Best restaurant in town. I cannot believe that anyone could write a bad review about this place! Paliotti's is my favorite restaurant in Abbotsford and has the best Italian food I've ever had outside of Europe. The atmosphere is modern yet casual, and based on my experiences, I feel as though they're actually undercharging for the quantity and quality of the food they provide. Be sure to come with an empty belly as the portions are huge! I go there often and have never had a bad experience.

Probably the worst food I've ever had. I will never NEVER go there again!!

Best Restaurant. I love the food at Paliotti's. You have to like garlic, which I do. I acutally don't care for much Italian flair usually, but this restaurant is an exception. There is lots of variety for meat, seafood and veg., and the sauces are great. I enjoy the bread and balsamic vinegar to get you started and the ceaser salad is to die for. I personally loved the seafood pasta and asiago sauce. I have eaten here 3times and think it is charming and the food is well prepared and lots, too.

Paliottis Abbotsfird. A friend was going here, I told her food was ok, service terrible. This is her report.

The restaurant? OMG! Horrible! The food was mediocre and tepid, the service was beyond bad. Worse than non-English speaking Filipinos at a McDonald's in skid row. Seriously!! I've never seen anything like it. Unprofessional, bordering on mentally challenged when speaking to customers, no clue or idea of what they serve. Ted was at the bar when I got there and he asked that they bring his beer to our table. That took 20 minutes easily. I tried to order a glass of wine but couldn't because I was snubbed and ignored. The water boy was pretty friendly but had no authority to do anything other than pour water. I had a discussion with the waiter (owner's nephew) about wine finally, AFTER my tepid semi-congealed meal had arrived, and opted for the "pretty good red out of a bottle" (his words, repeated emphasis on "out of a bottle").

NEVER going to that dump again EVER. So far Mission Springs hasn't impressed me, but they could get some of my business as well after last night's fiasco. Oh, and the meal was so horrible that I couldn't hardly eat it (cheese filled tortellini in a parma rose sauce). So nice of them to kindly wrap the leftovers to go for me to take home. I stopped on Hwy 7 in Maple Ridge and tossed it in a dumpster. Gah!

First and foremost this restaurant has abysmal service. I ordered steak neptune . The meal was cold and the Neptune was canned shredded crab meat , wow was I disappointed . Once again Abbotsford has proved that a restaurant can look great but serve garbage. Teach the staff to serve efficiently and stop serving food that comes packaged or frozen because I can do that when I'm home.

Decent Italian food and good lunch specials. One of the better Abby restaurants

I eat at Paliotti's every week. The staff treat me well. The food is great, I haven't had a bad meal yet. I try new items regularly. This is a great place to take your friends.

I like this place. We are regular patrons at Paliotti's and generally enjoy the food very much. Portion size with the pasta dishes is gargantuan so you will never leave hungry even if you are a big eater. The prices are very reasonable. As others have commented the service is a bit slow but in my opinion it is worth the wait. On the weekends parking can be a bit problematic. The staff are friendly and the ambiance is open and cheerful. Without a doubt the best Italian in Abbotsford, although they really do not have much competition.
Kristina
Great pasta. If you are looking for great pasta dishes, this is the place. It is very flavourful and yummy. There is lots of seating so it shouldn't be hard to get a table, the decor is going for an outdoor patio feel.

It is remarkable how a restaurant can get away with such terribly slow service. Go here only if you have time to wait, for you order to be taken, then you food to come, then the bill to come, then for them to process the bill and come back with your credit card.......
Brian
Great pasta. Been here a dozen times. Steak was not great but ok
Bob Smith
Great food and you get lots of it at a reasonable price.

Nice place, great food. We go often and we bring visitors often.

My favourite Abbotsford restaurant. A surprisingly large establishment with seats ranging from booths to tables for two. A nice simple decor with a pleasant ambience. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Service can be on the slow side especially at weekends, they are aware of this and point out that everything is freshly prepared and cooked to order.
The menu is extensive and may well contribute to the slower service, however the quality of the food is superb and worth waiting for.

Turns out the gluten free gods were in our favour, and we were able to indulge. Oh, am I glad we did! I ordered the Pasta Prima Verda: Bocconcini cheese,

Italian flair. Delicious Food. Beautiful women. Paliotti's in Abbotsford has it all, but most importantly... it has gluten free pasta! I love this place; my boyfriend and I had our first date here so it holds a special place in my heart. I think it is a g

I am so glad we decided check out Paliotti, because it's certainly a hidden gem to me. The restaurant was quite spacious with very nice vineyard like decor.
