When I came in I overheard that this spot was recently purchased and will be closing its doors. I'm really happy I got to try their food before the new owners move in and change things.
The host reccomend I try the "Blue Collar Rebellion burger", and it was fantastic! The patty is made in house and it had a delicious blue cheese sauce. If blue cheese isn't your thing I don't reccomend it, but luckily there are plenty of others to choose from. Another thing I liked, the burgers don't come with sides unless you order them extra. That allows for them to provide a house made burger at a great price, and if you have a huge appetite, you can get something else.
It's sad to see you go but happy you made great food while you were open. Thank you for your hospitality and providing people with a great place to eat!
I ordered the Kiwi burger substituting the bacon with mushrooms with a side of fries. The result is... Holy Molly!!! The burger has everything you need... juicy, melted cheese... slices of beets adds to the flavor. On top of all of that, a friendly staff!
The best burger I have EVER eaten. Got the BBQ special with Applewood Smoked Cheddar, mushrooms, and caramelized onions along with a perogy pouting. Excited for the next time we have to drive through, will definitely be back!
I consider myself a connoisseur of good burgers, not only is it my standard go to in a restaurant if I'm not sure about quality of dishes, I really appreciate a great burger.
I've always said if it's not running down your arms it's not a good burger, well GBR the Great Burger Revolution lives up to their name. My favourite place to go anywhere I have been in my life hands down. And to make a perfect thing even better they specialize as well in great poutine, 6 variations on menu + Poutine of the month as well as Burger of the month. All at Beyond reasonable prices.
GBR it is always my first recommendation for a place to eat to anyone who asks.
This go I got the Redneck Burger and the Perogy Poutine. Both for under $20 😮 Talk about value for a homestyle burger and Poutine.
Treat yourself and experience the GREAT BURGER REVOLUTION!
Good, made to order burgers. The burgers are juicy, moist but with a good sear. The lettuce was crispy and the bun was not soggy. Great poutine, the fries still had a crispness to them even though they were smothered in gravy. Great service.
Crafted burgers indeed!
My husband and I were simply passing through town, and I was cruising the internet looking for an interesting place to eat. the pictures (wowsa) knocked me over and then the reviews! My husband is a big fan of burgers and these looked impressive!
The place itself was bare bones, everything they had went into the burgers and poutines that are their specialty.
We both had the burger of the month, the "onionator". I had mine with the classic poutine and my husband tried the deep fried pickles!
The flavours were amazing - the fries were beer battered and perfectly prepared, the gravy was hot, hot enough to properly melt the cheese curds. Deep fried pickles were new to us and we loved the crunch and briny flavour combo!
Every bite of the burger was different as my mouth simply wasn't big enough to take it all in. Crispy onion rings paired with moist meat and sweet barbeque sauce, sauteed onions and garlic aoli, I am still drooling.
This is not a meal for those trying to avoid fat - these burgers embrace the melding of flavours that cooking with fat brings.
Eat salad tomorrow for today we are eating burgers!
AWESOME burgers! Stopped here while biking through, and it blew my mind. I had the 5th November burger which went down way too quick, the flavours were amazing. The ol man had the huntsman burger, and it not only looked great, but tasted even better. I would recommend it for sure
Amazing burgers and poutines! Absolutely delicious, the burgers are nice and juicy without being fatty, with lots of flavours that all perfectly tie together and the poutines are out of this world good!
